Chapter 36: Chapter 36: Victim! I’ll Take You to See the Perpetrator!_1

"Hey, classmate."

"Listening to the Director, this seems like a Demons and Monsters incident."

"Now that the truth is out, aren’t you going to quickly kowtow and admit your mistake?"

Su Yan took the Academic Director’s assist and, with a backhand, unleashed an R Skill on the girl.

"When did the truth come out?"

The girl refused to admit to framing Su Yan, still stubbornly insisting, "All of this is just the Academic Director’s statement; it’s not necessarily the truth."

"That’s also true."

Su Yan nodded in agreement.

Then, he turned and snitched to the Academic Director, "Director, she’s saying you’re lying!"

"Her name is Lin Xiaoxiao. For the remaining twenty-odd days, please feel free to make things difficult for her."

Girl: "???"

This guy actually tattled to the teacher!

That scoundrel, he has no honor!

Damn him to hell!

The girl was trembling with rage.

"Student Su Yan, don’t talk nonsense. I’m not the type to cause trouble for students."

Having said that, the Academic Director turned to the girl and frowned. "Classmate, what makes you say I’m lying? Do you have a problem with me?"

"I’m not... I didn’t..."

Seeing the Academic Director frowning at her, the girl immediately felt somewhat wronged.

"Hmph..."

The Academic Director huffed and turned away, too disdainful to deal with the girl before him.

This girl is clearly bad news.

She had the audacity to falsely accuse a classmate of being a degenerate, and now she even dares to claim I’m lying?

Damn!

No, this won’t do. I’m still rather annoyed. I need to find an opportunity to make things difficult for her.

After all, causing trouble is one thing, and making life difficult is another... entirely separate matters, the Academic Director mulled this over.

The animosity had been successfully stoked. Excellent, Su Yan thought, a mocking smile that didn’t reach his eyes playing on his lips as he addressed the girl, "I say, classmate, stop being so stubborn. Hurry up and record an apology video, post it online, and take the heat."

"If you do that, I might forgive you one-tenth of this; otherwise, you’re in for a rough time."

"Nothing has been settled yet! On what grounds are you demanding an apology?" the girl continued her stubborn defiance.

Seeing the girl’s utter defiance, as if she were a dead pig unafraid of boiling water, Su Yan couldn’t help but feel amused.

"You want things settled, is that it?"

"That’s easy. Let’s head over to the tuck shop right now and find out the truth."

"If it turns out you really did wrong me, then from now on, every time you see me, you’ll have to call me ’Dad’."

Having said this, Su Yan didn’t wait for the girl’s agreement and directly turned to leave the office.

"Who’s afraid of whom!"

The girl, refusing to yield until faced with undeniable proof, braced herself and followed him.

The school officials behind them, seeing this, finally reacted and all followed.

They just hadn’t managed to process things yet, their minds a muddle, unsure what to do; one moment the Principal had been attacked, and the next, the Academic Director was declaring a major incident at the tuck shop.

As for the Principal, who was furthest inside, he was still somewhat shaken and did not rashly follow the others out the main door.

He thought for a moment, then climbed out the window behind him. Cautiously, keeping his eyes and ears peeled, he took a roundabout route to the tuck shop, afraid of suffering another mysterious attack like the one just before.

「A few minutes later...」

When everyone arrived at the tuck shop, it was pitch-black and deserted.

The somewhat rusty roller shutter had been pulled more than halfway down, almost closed.

"Li Sanmu, are you in there?"

The Principal stood outside, calling cautiously into the dimly lit store.

However, the only response was an inexplicable, cold gust of wind blowing out from inside. It was bone-chillingly cold, like opening a meat freezer, making everyone shiver.

"Teacher Liu, try calling Li Sanmu. See if you can get through to him."

Seeing no response from inside, the Principal turned to the Academic Director beside him.

"Okay, I’ll contact him now."

After speaking, the Academic Director immediately took out his phone and dialed the tuck shop owner’s number.

However, after nearly five minutes and three attempts, he still couldn’t reach the owner of the school’s tuck shop.

"Principal, I still can’t reach him."

The Academic Director looked at the Principal beside him and shook his head helplessly.

"How strange..."

The Principal frowned, but he suppressed the urge to go in and investigate.

His instincts, honed as an Advanced Level Being, constantly warned him that the tuck shop was very dangerous. He sensed that any rash move could lead to his utter annihilation.

As the Principal hesitated, an argument erupted behind him.

"I say, classmate, weren’t you always eager to bring the culprit to justice?"

"Now the culprit is right in there. Why are you just standing here? Aren’t you going in to catch them?"

"Or have you suddenly become a benevolent goddess, embracing all of humanity, and decided to let it go?"

Seeing the girl had arrived but was too scared to enter, Su Yan approached and taunted her sarcastically.

"I’m not going! If you want to go, go yourself!"

This time, the girl lost her nerve and didn’t dare to be stubborn, though her tone was still defiant.

Damn it, this tuck shop is pitch-black inside, with eerie winds gusting out now and then. It’s obviously dangerous; even a dog wouldn’t go in.

"You think you can just say you’re not going?"

With that, Su Yan, a man of few words and decisive action, walked right up to the girl and stopped.

Then, under her bewildered gaze, he grabbed her hand and began to drag her towards the tuck shop.

Feeling the warmth from her wrist, the girl was momentarily stunned.

It was like discovering a new world: a boy’s hand was so warm; being held by him felt surprisingly good.

However, very quickly, as a cold wind blasted her face, making her delicate body shiver, she snapped back to her senses and shouted at Su Yan, "What are you doing? Let go! Or don’t blame me for getting rough!"

"Go on, get rough if you have what it takes."

Su Yan, completely unfazed by her threat, continued to drag her forcibly towards the tuck shop.

"Su Yan! I’m telling you one last time! Let go of my hand! Don’t push your luck!"

The girl was furious, and the imposing aura of a Semi-Advanced Level creature instantly erupted from her.

However, Su Yan remained unmoved, continuing to pull her towards the tuck shop.

"Hmph! So you’d rather do this the hard way!"

The words had barely left her lips when the girl unleashed the terrifying power of a Semi-Advanced Level creature.

Then, she yanked back hard, attempting to pull her hand free and topple Su Yan.

She wanted to teach Su Yan a lesson, to make him understand that she, a Semi-Advanced Level creature, wasn’t someone a weakling like him could just lay hands on.

However, the next moment,

The girl was dumbfounded!

She discovered, to her utter horror, that no matter how hard she struggled, she couldn’t free her hand from Su Yan’s grip in the slightest.

"This is impossible!" the girl cried out, a wave of disbelief washing over her as she began to question reality.

"Little Xiao, what’s wrong?" her best friend behind her asked, seeing the situation and couldn’t help but worry. She couldn’t understand. Her best friend was an incredibly powerful Semi-Advanced Level creature; why would she let Su Yan drag her along without resisting?

Hearing her best friend’s voice, Su Yan immediately stopped and turned back.

"I almost forgot about you, the innocent bystander. Come on, join your best friend in identifying the culprit."

Having said that, Su Yan walked up to the girl’s best friend and grabbed her smooth wrist.

Then, with a girl on each side, he dragged both of them towards the tuck shop.

"No! Don’t! Please, don’t!"

"Let go of me! Let me go now!"

"Ah! Ah! We’re going in!"

The two girls were shouting and struggling.

They didn’t want to enter that pitch-black little room; it was the kind of place people didn’t come out of alive.

However, no matter how much they struggled or how loudly they screamed, Su Yan wouldn’t let go, dragging them kicking and screaming all the way into the tuck shop.

Meanwhile, the school officials nearby were gravely discussing countermeasures.

At the same time, they were contemplating how to suppress this unexpected incident involving Demons and Monsters. Their goal was to minimize the impact as much as possible, to avoid affecting this year’s evaluations and next year’s student recruitment.

By the time they noticed Su Yan, the weakling, using force on the two girls, the trio’s figures had already disappeared into the tuck shop.

"Principal, it seems those three students have gone inside the tuck shop..." the Director of Academic Affairs said.

"Those three idiots!"

The principal first cursed angrily.

Then, looking furious, he shouted towards the inside of the tuck shop, "You three rascals, get out here right now, or you’ll each get a demerit!"

Silence. Utter silence. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

The three who had entered the tuck shop seemed to have vanished into thin air, without a single sound in response.

"Principal, could something have happened to those three students? Should we go in and check?"

"Wait a bit longer. I’ve already contacted the Education Bureau; experts will be here soon."

"But if we wait for people to arrive, I’m afraid those three students might already be..."

"Then why don’t you go in yourself?"

The principal was getting rather annoyed. Is this Director of Academic Affairs a complete idiot? he thought. Doesn’t he know the principal’s authority is not to be challenged? Doesn’t he understand the need for flattery? What I need right now is validation, not him telling me what to do! And most importantly, the situation inside the tuck shop is still unknown. Wouldn’t rushing in rashly just be suicide?

CLICK!

Suddenly, a crisp sound was heard.

The very next moment, the tuck shop, which had been pitch-black—so dark you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face—was suddenly ablaze with light.

Through the half-lowered roller shutter, the Principal saw Su Yan standing by the light switch.

Seeing Su Yan unharmed after entering, the Principal immediately called out to the others behind him, "Alright, let’s go! I’ll take the lead. Everyone, follow me in and let’s investigate!"

No sooner had he spoken than the crowd clamored and rushed into the tuck shop after the Principal.

But just as they stepped into the tuck shop, Su Yan, who was by the light switch, suddenly flicked the lights off with another CLICK!

In an instant, the tuck shop, which had been illuminated for less than a minute, plunged back into darkness.

Simultaneously, a harsh, grating sound, SCREECH, was heard as the rusty roller shutter door outside suddenly slammed shut on its own.

"Su Yan, what do you think you’re doing?!"

The Principal was furious. Using the faint light from his phone, he strode to the light switch, grabbed Su Yan who was standing there, and demanded loudly.

But as soon as the words left his mouth, a sudden chill pierced the Principal’s heart, and his blood ran cold.

What he felt in his grasp... was cold, hard... not at all like the flesh and blood of a living person...
