Girl Hero: Revenge on Goblins! -
Chapter 261: D90. Ice Peak Snow Domain_2
Chapter 261: D90. Ice Peak Snow Domain_2
She adjusted her backpack slightly, her fingers gently brushing the pocket, feeling the weight and texture of the Elf Gem inside.
Those three female adventurers might think that acting so rashly was too reckless. Even if she found the White Snake, she might not be of any help, but the Hero knew that the gem belonging to the Elf Rabbit was not only her trump card against a formidable enemy but also her proof of being able to assist the White Snake.
Her hair nearly blended with the snowflakes drifting around, the snake-shaped hairpin almost completely covered by snow, as if dissatisfied with the cold, quietly hidden within her white hair.
The Gleaming Scale Serpent behind her was the same, fleetingly weaving through the snow, like a glimmering light and shadow amidst the snow, advancing with her.

In any environment, as long as there’s life, there’s a food chain, and the cruel natural laws automatically construct a hierarchy’s pyramid.
And at the very bottom, the Goblin’s figures are often not absent.
Despite growing in this harsh land, they possessed far superior qualities compared to their ordinary kin, but on the other hand, these Snowfield Goblins might never in their lives see a female.
If they could choose their birth, what decision would they make? Surely, no one would care much about the answers filled with vile desires.
But for these Goblins born in the snowfield, answering such questions was no longer necessary—they no longer needed assumptions, no longer needed delusions.
Because what they yearned for, dreamed of, the snow-white female as if heaven-sent, invited them with a gaze alluring enough to lightly pluck at their heartstrings.
"In a place like this, you filthy creatures... truly disgusting."
The Hero’s eyes burned with intense disgust, her Magic Power and emotions rising together, igniting her fists.
The scorching flames surged, the heat they emitted disturbed the falling snowflakes, slightly distorting the air, making the surrounding snowy view waver like a phantom.
From a distance, across a stretch, the white-haired woman holding a crossbow suddenly lifted her head, her previously weary face blooming with joyful and radiant light.
"Miss Hero!?"

[Goblin Winter Ghost R5]
A special variant of the Fiendish Goblin, a giant Goblin mutated after being eroded by the icy chill Magic Power in cold regions, its strength at the top of the Goblin species.
The originally thick fat turned hard and angular as if frozen, the skin pale with an ice crystal-like blue color.
The brain once filled with desires and instincts was also chilled, not to say highly intelligent, but developed a cold and brutal personality.
Due to differing contents of ice elements within, there’s a great variance between Winter Ghosts, with a rare few individuals entirely transcending the Goblin category, advancing into what is called the "General Winter" of the Demon King Species.
However, the reality of this "General Winter" has been debated in academic circles.
Monster Ecosystem Investigator A: I think categorizing General Winter and Winter Ghost together is merely far-fetched, there’s no evidence of General Winter evolving from Goblins, probably just because it has a similar size and features to the Goblin Winter Ghost that such rumors arise... what’s more, General Winter shows no interest in females.
Investigator B: Isn’t it precisely because of the disinterest in women that it’s said to transcend beyond the Goblin category?
Investigator A: That’s why I say it’s far-fetched. You can’t just say that a Leviathan, being larger than ordinary fish and swimming in the water, is classified as a fish, can you? It’s not even oviparous.
Investigator B: I see... that makes sense.

The Hero’s toe lightly traced an arc on the snow, lifting a wisp of silver-white snowflake, and then her heel fell, standing firmly on the snowfield.
She closed her eyes, her breathing slow and deep, then began to chant softly.
Her voice was low and gentle, seemingly blending with the icy land. But as the chanting became more intense, the heat contained in the tone became increasingly apparent.
The fire elements, initially dormant in the severe cold, obediently began to break free from the shackles of ice, dancing passionately, welcoming chaos and riot without restraint.

Even the underdeveloped brain of the Goblin Winter Ghost sensed the Hero’s motion, letting out an earth-shaking roar, charging with its Goblin followers toward the snow-white maiden.
A swarm of Goblins surged forward messily, kicking up a cloud of snow.
Many began rolling snowballs on the spot, like children in a snowball fight, hurling them at the Hero, but the snowballs were filled with ground stones and ice, making them ridiculous yet brutal.
For the first time in actual combat without relying on the strength of the Beast Spirit Transformation to chant Advanced Magic, the Hero’s chanting speed was not fast.
And as a native of this snow domain, the Goblin Winter Ghost’s actions were evidently quicker than she expected, its massive body, lacking the clumsiness of the Fiendish Goblin, rapidly closed in, an oppressive presence cast by its shadow and a fierce, greedy expression.
With a roar, the Goblin Winter Ghost’s fists were raised high, descending upon the girl below with unstoppable force.
And behind it, the Goblins’ hailstorm-like snowballs wrapped with stones and ice shards whistled through the air, each containing hidden threats.
Yet, neither the immense fists nor the hail of snowballs penetrated the Hero, cut off at the moment of contact by a thin golden barrier.
The barrier wrapped around her like an eggshell, blocking all attacks, leaving the Goblins frenzied yet unable to penetrate the thin screen.
Inside the eggshell, the Hero’s fists were clasped, her chanting unwavering.
[Omnidirectional Invincibility’s uses -2/remaining 6, the Hero sustained no damage, chanting continues]
