Girl Hero: Revenge on Goblins! -
Chapter 219: D77. Evil Demon Heretic_4
Chapter 219: D77. Evil Demon Heretic_4
After several attempts to speak but only silence followed, the silent cultist behind the shrine seemed to perceive something.
The next moment, flames lit up in the Hero Magic Power’s pupils.
[Target]
1. Injured cultist
2. Silent cultist♛
D2=d2(2)=2
’Since one is already injured, let’s deal with the one under control first!’
The Hero quickly made a decision, turning his head to gaze at the distant cultist who was trying to do something.
[Hero activates skill: Extrasensory Sensation, Blazing Sunburn]
[Hero inflicts Illusionary Damage on the cultist (4d(Perception 51+Intelligence 60)/5)]
4d22=(12)+(22)+(21)+(12)=67
[Cultist’s Resistance (Failure to resist leads to immobilization)]
D77=d77(52)=52
In the next instant, unbearable heat assailed the enemy, as if countless red-hot irons were being pressed onto his body; the cultist’s body promptly turned crimson, his eyes nearly popping out of their sockets, throwing his head back in a silent scream of agony.
Then the Gleaming Scale Serpent, secreting potent illusion-inducing venom from its deadly fangs, darted out like an arrow off its bowstring, rushing at the utterly defenseless enemy.
[Gleaming Scale Serpent’s Pursuit (Strength d45, Critical Success of Illusionary Damage + poison d30)]
D45+d30=d45(21)+d30(6)=27
[Silent cultist suffers 15+27=42 points of Illusionary Damage (ignores Armor)]
[Silent cultist’s HP 0/42]
[Silent cultist is captured by the Gleaming Scale Serpent]
[The other cultist’s Battle Intent (30 - flee)]
D100=d100(99)=99
"Don’t underestimate me—you bitch!"
Bitten by the Gleaming Scale Serpent’s venomous fangs, the cultist behind the shrine couldn’t put up any resistance from start to finish, convulsing all over, foaming at the mouth as he collapsed.
Unexpectedly to the Hero, the other cultist, whose heart was infused with lust, suddenly let out a beast-like roar of rage, blood and saliva splattering everywhere.
Seizing the moment when the Hero’s attention was on suppressing the other cultist, his eyes turned blood-red as he began chanting a spell.
If the Cruising Bishop were here, he probably wouldn’t be too surprised by this scene.
Cultists are people longing for the world to burn, and for this, they are even willing to use themselves as kindling.
[Cultist’s Battle Intent Critical Success!]
[Cultist’s Chanting (Critical Success +30)]
D100+63+30=d100(5)+63+30=98
[Hero’s Interrupt (-30)]
D70+20=d70(17)+20=37
[Cultist casts a spell (guaranteed success, exceed 100+ counts as lv5, 150+ counts as LV6)]
1. Revenge Blood Curse
2. Corrosion Skill
3. Negative Energy Beam♛
4. He Beast Summoning Demon
5. 1
6. 2
7. 3
8. Shared Fate
9. Self-Sacrifice Summoning Demon
10. Critical Success/Extreme Failure
D10=d10(3)=3
[Cultist’s Chanting Extreme Failure! Casts Spell: Negative Energy Beam LV4]
[Negative Energy Beam LV4]
Channeling negative energy, incompatible with life, it shoots forth as a ray, directly interacting with the target’s life force, causing damage that ignores armor.
The struck being, like a fire doused with water, either extinguishes or, in retaliation, evaporates it.
[Hero has taken negative energy damage]
D100+40=d100(74)+40=114
→☆→☆→☆→✧←★←★←★←
A gray-black ray, as thick as a forearm, hits the Hero in the lower abdomen.
A momentary glee crosses the Cultist’s face, but it swiftly turns to shock.
Seeing the Hero merely stagger back two steps and frown after being hit by the ray, the Cultist is dumbfounded and then his expression contorts with rage, spewing out foul curses from a bleeding mouth.
"You... damned whore..."
If it hadn’t been for that damned Scale snake breaking his ribs, he could have chanted a stronger Spell Chant.
Yet, even with his spiraling madness, he’s only flesh and blood; his will is not strong enough to ignore excruciating pain.
For the Hero, who relies on an Etheric body in combat, a spell that could easily kill a warrior causes her little more than some loss of Magic Power, without other effects,
Moreover, she’s wearing a Mithril inner garment that further diminishes the power of the beam.
Although her eyes still burn red with crazed Battle Intent, upon seeing the Hero unharmed after taking a hit from the negative energy beam, the Cultist ultimately feels helpless.
"Heh, hehe, we shall not let this be the end..."
But even though he’s out of tricks, there is no intent of surrender in his twisted grin and malevolent gaze.
’Already gravely wounded...’ Observing the Cultist’s dreadful injuries, the Hero also frowns slightly.
[Hero activates skill: Lantern (Healing Magic mastery not possessed, no bonus)]
D100=d100(10)=10
Vibrating Water Illusion Sound isn’t particularly powerful magic, but it requires precise manipulation.
Rather than being distracted during battle, the Hero has already dispelled it and now silently and cautiously approaches the Cultist, who hasn’t moved since casting that beam spell.
Despite his grave injuries, she quickly suppresses a fleeting compassion, focusing coolly on him.
Healing would only come after ensuring the enemy’s complete incapacitation.
She knows well the strength of a Mage; although he seems cornered, who’s to say he doesn’t have a special trick up his sleeve?
And even without deep knowledge of the Cult, hearing their prior exchange alone tells the Hero these are not good people.
[Hero’s understanding of the Cult]
D60+5=d60(45)+5=50
So, this is just like dealing with Goblins.
Goblins can be wounded, plead, and even have young among them.
But showing mercy only yields poisonous and Evil returns—a conclusion the Hero, well-read on Goblin lore, firmly believes.
"No matter it’s you, or this world... both shall be ravaged... Even if I die, you can’t escape—"
At this moment, faced with the Hero’s silence, the Cultist reveals a fiercely grim smile.
"Just you wait—soon, we shall meet again."
1. Commits suicide♛
2. Knocked unconscious by the Hero
D2=d2(1)=1
[Cultist’s self-termination (Cultist+30, the higher the number, the more gruesome the death)]
D100=d100(95)+30=125
[Self-termination > Lantern, rescue attempt failed! Shock to the Hero (50-not splashed)]
D100+30=d100(11)+30=41
As the Cultist shows a fierce grin and his body suddenly swells unnaturally, the Hero instantly reacts, spreading a defensive sheet of water in front.
The next moment, a muffled, heart-shrinking blast resonates, and the transparent blue water sheet is abruptly smeared with filthy red.
[How to deal with the captured Cultist?]
1-6. Bring back to the station♛
7-9. Use Stigmata
10. Critical Success/Extreme Failure
D10=d10(1)=1
