Girl Hero: Revenge on Goblins!
Chapter 202: D72. The Beginning of Darkness_4

Chapter 202: D72. The Beginning of Darkness_4

But that doesn’t necessarily have to do with the Hero, who is neither the center of the world nor a star in the sky.

Not everything she encounters builds a connection with her, nor does she need to solve every crisis.

Not just Heroes, but anyone who decides to step out of their home and into this vast world will encounter various people and events.

But that might just be like two straight lines crossing; though they touch at one point, they might never meet again.

However, it’s also possible that it will be like waves continuously intersecting, or like a spiral fate that’s entangled unclearly.

After all, the real future is always uncertain.

Although her hair color changed from the familiar Sky Blue to a lush green, casting a shade of loneliness in the Hero’s eyes, she quickly adjusted her mood and called the Gleaming Scale Serpent to step onto the land of the Highland.

This Highland, rightfully, is a place inhabited by Water Mirror Cranes and many Magic Creatures.

Though higher than most high mountains and far colder than the severe winter air, the ground beneath her feet is not barren Permafrost but a lush green, just like the Hero’s current long hair.

If she were to crouch down now, she wouldn’t even need to use the Tree Skin Technique to have a natural camouflage.

Moreover, the tips of the green grass were gathering tiny droplets of water, merely stepping on this grassland raised a bit of mist, noting the high moisture content of this wetland.

Fortunately, when the Hero left her home, she was wearing high leather boots specially prepared by the Maid Supervisor, and her clothing, which did not emphasize warmth but water resistance, also had smooth fabric.

Otherwise, by now, the Hero would be utterly drenched, and even with her Extraordinary Physique, she would likely feel uncomfortable in this cold dampness.

When the Hero sped up her pace, continuously breathing in the icy and thin air here, the unique Magic Element of the highland gradually circulated throughout her limbs,

like an ice spring poured down, not only dispelling the dizziness in her head but also calming down the fiery urge for revenge that she couldn’t wait to express.

[Luck on point, Hero detects the presence of Goblins]

But before long, the Hero’s small nostrils twitched slightly, her gaze sharpened, and she quickly bent down.

She originally wanted to feel more of nature’s elegance, but it looks like she can’t afford to relax any longer.

The Hero frowned, bending down, the Snake-shaped Hairpin on her cheek, just like the Gleaming Scales Serpent, curiously peeked out of the bushes observing the group of green-skins painfully struggling by the small river.

’What’s going on...?’

Seeing that group still energetic enough to struggle on the ground, clutching their stomachs and uttering horrifying moans, the Hero’s expression did not waver; she merely slowly closed her eyes.

She could feel the Magic Power circulating within her, breaking down and reassembling her internal organs, as if filled with bubbles, eventually transforming into a being that looked similar but was definitely not human.

And when the Hero opened her eyes again, the Emerald Green had disappeared, replaced by a deep ocean-like blue.

The Hero’s own temperament also took on a bit of fragility, soft and moist like water, compelling one to immerse themselves within it.

A slight itch transmitted from her delicate, pale legs, which to normal people would feel like stepping on the edge of a knife, but with the Hero’s enhanced strength, now it only made her slightly furrow her brow,

yet just that small expression could evoke a feeling of wanting to protect and comfort the girl.

Though she probably doesn’t harbor such thoughts herself.

Unaware that their long-desired prey was nearby, the Goblins continued to struggle fiercely, like pests sprayed with insecticide yet refusing to cease their antics,

Their screams and writhing not only failed to evoke pity from the onlookers but instead made them wish they could end their lives.

However, although the Hero wished to eliminate these Goblins first, she first turned her gaze to the nearby river.

’There’s something off about that river...’

Through Elemental Perception of the Water Element in its bubbly form, the Hero easily detected the foreign substances mixed in the river water.

Her eyes turned sharp, icy cold, a stark contrast to her usually soft temperament, as she looked at the distressed Goblins.

Suddenly, like a curious child plucking off the legs of insects to observe their movements, a naive yet cruel smile curved on the Hero’s lips.

As if struck by a mischievous thought, she extended a finger and a large Water Ball emerged from the nearby river.

The Water Ball floated above the Goblin Group and, before the struggling Goblins on the ground could react, it burst with a bang,

Hitting the twenty or so Goblins on the shore like a refreshing shower.

Although this level of Water Element Manipulation wasn’t considered Magic, or even an Attack, but——

Watching the result of her prank, the Hero rose from the bushes and quickly approached with a shocked expression.

The once energetic, rolling Goblins, now lay silent, all dead by the small river’s bank.

However, there was little joy on the Hero’s face; she bent down, staring at the Goblin corpses, her sky blue eyes unblinking, lips tightly pursed.
