Girl Hero: Revenge on Goblins! -
Chapter 133: D48.(´・ω・´)
Chapter 133: The Slime King leisurely made his way through the forest at night.
Despite being of the lowest-tier species of Slime, it had continuously transcended itself and formidable foes throughout its brief life and unknowingly evolved into a high-level demon, ruling this forest as a being second only to those of Demon King Level.
However, Slimes usually aren’t very aggressive.
Slimes can sustain their lives simply by absorbing magical elements and dew, making them even easier to reproduce than Goblins.
Thus, unless absolutely necessary, they would not actively encroach upon the human sphere.
Maybe it was for this reason that the residents of the nearby villages could continue their peaceful lives, blissfully unaware.
Humans would not stray far from their villages into the forest, and magic creatures would not dare to provoke it either.
Hence, after the Slime donned a tiny crown, it entered a phase where it occasionally split off a few Slimes and spent most of its days basking in the sun, living at ease deep within the forest.

Flowing Magic LV2: A magic that controls liquids, allowing manipulation of water currents and firing parts of its own body.
Special Skills:
Fluid Armor: Its fluid body fears no physical attack. Physical damage below half of its Constitution will be negated, and it will make a constitution-based Exemption check when damaged.
Rule Erosion: A dominating power that displays the authority of a king. When attacking, make an agility check, and if successful, part of the Slime King will invade the enemy’s body, lowering their attributes and causing Destructive Damage.

But in this tranquil night, the Slime King suddenly sensed the screams of Goblins through vibrations across its entire body.
And so, the Slime, unbeaten in this forest, slowly mobilized its body and began to move, swaying gently.
Slimes did not search for things with eyes and were naturally untroubled by the cloak of night.
It headed straight toward the source of the sound, its demeanor filled with the leisurely arrogance of a ruler.
A high-tier monster at level thirty.
The level may not seem high, nor capable of causing an Arcane Surge, and the species is almost one that every novice adventurer has hunted.
The creature was approximately the size of a single bed, a slimy oval blob with a tiny golden crown on top.
After growing into a high-tier demon, the Slime King lost all enemies and, in its laziness, ceased to grow further, appearing not to be a very threatening magic creature.
However, if the border guards encountered this creature, they would surely be ready to sacrifice themselves at that moment, just to gain time for the young lady to escape.
—Because a high-level demon is an existence that transcends the category of common Professionals.
Against the intermediate magic creature, the Dark-light Glimmering Scale Snake, the guards, relying on their teamwork, are confident they can win, and with enough preparation, even one-on-one victory is not impossible.
But facing the Slime King, whose level rivals that of the Gleaming Scale Serpent, if there are no Spellcasters in the team, the physical Profession guards, no matter how many times their number increases, would probably end up completely digested.
Whether it’s due to compatibility or sheer strength, high-level magic creatures often possess a quality that transcends mere "numbers."
Even the all-out attacks of guards who have yet to undergo their Second Transformation cannot break through the Slime King’s defenses.
Magical elements foster powerful magic creatures, which in turn gather even denser magical elements, leading to the birth of more magic creatures.
Back and forth like this, a Catastrophe known as Arcane Surge takes form — the World-Annihilating kind.
Even for the most skilled Pantheon Scholars, monitoring the flow of magical elements across the world is no more than a pipe dream. Not even the most adept Prophetic Mages can predict the rise and fall of every Arcane Surge.
It might only take a geological shift, or a shift in the monsoons, or even just a coincidence and misfortune for a powerful magic creature to be born in obscurity.
So even the village chief grandma might not have anticipated the existence of this Slime King.
And the Hero, who is still a greenhorn, is growing too fast, yet she has acquired too little knowledge and seen too few things.
Losing the calm to weigh the costs, she overused the power of her Fusion Avatar, without even the strength to replenish with a gemstone, and succumbed to unconsciousness in the depths of the unknown forest.
Most Heroes loathe some specific type of magic creature.
But magic creatures don’t pick and choose their prey.
Where Goblins abound, there must be stronger Upper-level Demons, and where Upper-level Demons reside, there are often many Low-level Monsters capable of unleashing an onslaught of sheer numbers.
Those who target the weak will be easily bullied by the strong; those who target the strong will be dragged into the mire by the weak.
And thus, to die silently on the journey to hunt magic creatures is the fate of most Heroes.
—So, what about the girl who lies unconscious in the forest at this moment?

Following the queen engulfed in a desire for slaughter, the Gleaming Scale Serpents realized that they had unconsciously moved far from the human village and ventured into a seldom-traveled area.
