Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 73: Jade Pagoda

Chapter 73: Chapter 73: Jade Pagoda

The jade pendant absorbed the pearl and its luster increased.

The field faded away, revealing their true surroundings—

Yu Holea and Yue were at the top of the Kunlun Moutain region.

Yu Holea turned and hugged Yue,

"Thank you, Yue. If it wasn’t because of you, I don’t know what would happen to me."

Yue just smiled softly.

It wanted to say, that it was her master who helped her, but remembering his master’s instruction, he said nothing.

After hugging for a long while, the nine-tailed fox suddenly transformed back into the small white fox.

Yu Holea was stunned but she carried him and looked ahead.

Yet what was in front of them was a well.

The well stood silently, its stone structure weathered by time. Its depths were shrouded in darkness, giving an air of mystery and intrigue.

Yu Holea’s eyes narrowed as she observed the well, a mix of curiosity and caution stirring within her.

"Why have we been brought to this well?" she wondered aloud, her voice carrying in the serene mountain air.

Yue, who had returned to his smaller fox form after the battle, tilted his head and sniffed the air, sensing something peculiar.

Seeing his twitching nose, Yu Holea copied him and tried to smell.

However, she didn’t smell anything in particular.

"Master, there’s an unusual energy emanating from the well," Yue whispered telepathically to Qiao Jun

"It feels ancient and powerful. However, there are several traps on the ground." Yue added.

Qiao Jun tried his best to hide his weak state and replied,

"Guide her near the well. Be careful make sure...she doesn’t get hurt."

Heartache flashed past Yue’s eyes.

His almighty master was currently in a weak state just to protect her.

Yue glanced at Yu Holea who was totally clueless and staring at him.

Yue had wanted to hate her but...

But for some reason, he couldn’t get himself to hate someone as innocent and pure as Yu Holea.

He doesn’t want to admit it but he who remained aloof even in front of his master, was melted by Yu Holea.

Yu Holea was like the innocent warm light, that was unnoticed at first but slowly become a necessity.

Yue stopped his complicated thoughts and pointed his nose at the well.

Yu Holea nodded, her gaze never leaving the well. She felt a strong connection to it as if it held a secret waiting to be discovered.

She went in front of the well and saw that the well was closed with a lid.

"Let’s find out what lies within," she said, taking a step closer to the well.

She extended a hand, her fingertips brushing against the cold lid.

As soon as her hand made contact with the lid, a ripple of energy spread through her body, tingling with a mix of anticipation and apprehension.

Suddenly a white light enveloped Yu Holea and Yue and both of them were teleported inside the well.

Yu Holea and Yue were stunned and then they realized that they were falling and if they didn’t do anything they would fall.

Yu Holea used her mystic energy to envelope themselves and slowed the speed with which they were falling.

As they descended further into the darkness, the air grew colder, and the sound of dripping water echoed through the narrow passage.

The walls of the well seemed to whisper ancient secrets, and Yu Holea’s senses were heightened, attuned to every subtle change in the environment.

After what felt like an eternity, they reached the bottom of the well.

They found themselves in a vast underground chamber, illuminated by ethereal light that emanated from glowing crystals embedded in the walls.

In the center of the chamber stood a pedestal, upon which rested a shimmering artifact. It was a small, intricately carved jade figurine, depicting a jade pagoda.

Yu Holea’s eyes flashed and she slowly walked up to the miniature version of a jade pagoda.

Along the way, she saw various artifacts and relics scattered throughout the chamber, each radiating a unique aura and carrying a sense of profound history.

There were ancient scrolls, delicate porcelain vases, and ornate weaponry from bygone eras.

Yu Holea understood that there were many more treasures, however since she wasn’t fated with them, she wasn’t able to feel the connection she was feeling with the talisman pagoda.

But it was the jade pagoda that captivated Yu Holea’s attention.

Soon she reached in front of the Talisman pagoda.

Its craftsmanship was exquisite, and she could feel a faint pulse of energy emanating from it.

She reached out, her hand trembling slightly as she made contact with the artifact.

However, nothing happened.

"Huh?"

Just then Yue who was looking in a certain direction, turned his attention to Yu Holea.

Then Yue sighed and purred and pointed at the blood.

Yu Holea was stunned.

Oh yes!

For a high-grade spiritual weapon, one has to drop blood to activate the treasure.

Yu Holea squeezed out the blood from her hand injuries and dropped it on the talisman pagoda.

As the droplets of Yu Holea’s blood touched the surface of the talisman pagoda, a surge of energy rippled through the chamber.

The jade figurine began to glow with a golden radiance, illuminating the entire space.

Suddenly, intricate patterns and symbols etched onto the pagoda started to shimmer and come to life.

The jade pagoda flew in the air and vanished.

Just before Yu Holea could react, a pagoda appeared in her mind.

Wow!

As Yu Holea gazed at the mental projection of the pagoda, she could sense a deep connection forming between herself and the artifact.

The mellow voice that was announcing the result till now suddenly appeared in her mind.

"Congratulations on gaining the approval from the Ancient Talisman Pagoda!"

Yu Holea interrupted and asked,

"Can you first tell me your name?"

"Sure I am Zephyr, the spirit of Jade Pagoda."

"Ok, Zephyr, I am Yu Holea. You can call me Holea or Lea."

"Sure, I will call you Lea then. First I will give you some introduction to this jade pagoda."

Yu Holea was thrilled to hear this.

"Ancient Talisman Pagoda is an ancient pagoda that has a vast knowledge of talismans. This pagoda has 10 floors. Each floor has a different number of new talismans."

Yu Holea was pleasantly surprised.

However, the next words wiped off her smile.

"Only 1st floor is available. Every other floor is locked and they will be unlocked as your power increases."

Uh!

Suddenly a scroll floated in her mind and Zephyr continued,

"You have to absorb the scroll, in order to make different types of talisman."

Yu Holea nodded.

"Is there any question you would like to ask?" the mellow voice asked?

Yu Holea asked the question she was most curious about,

"Um, won’t you take me as your disciple first and then teach me this knowledge."

Zephyr replied gently,

"This is not an inheritance left by some master. This Ancient Jade Pagoda is a natural treasure."

Yu Holea was in disbelief.

How was this possible?

One should know that if there was any treasure that has knowledge to pass down, it is mostly someone’s inheritance.

Zephyr’s voice sounded again,

"This Jade Pagoda is a high-grade artifact. It has intelligence of its own. This is also the reason why even though many people came here, no one was able to make it acknowledge them as its master willingly."

"Oh. Are there any criteria to make the pagoda acknowledge themselves?" Yu Holea asked.

"Yes, the one with the greatest potential will be acknowledged by the pagoda."

"How many people have reached here before me?" This was the question Yu Holea was most curious about.

"Only one."

"Oh," Yu Holea nodded but didn’t ask who that person was.

She doesn’t want to look like a gossipy person.

Just then she saw Yue looking in a direction.

Yu Holea followed her gaze and saw a rustic briefcase.

Curious, Yu Holea asked Yue,

"Yue, what are you looking at?"

Yue paused and walked up to the briefcase and tapped his paw on it.

Yu Holea didn’t feel any attachment from this briefcase but she still lifted the briefcase.

When she tried to open the briefcase, she wasn’t able to.

Hence Yu Holea was about to put it down when Yue tapped on her foot and pointed at the ground nearby.

Yu Holea saw that it was Qiao Jun’s name and understood that this little fellow was saying that this treasure was fated with Qiao Jun.

Ah! How cute!

Yu Holea asked the jade pagoda,

"Is it okay, if I take this briefcase with me?"

Zephyr’s voice sounded,

"Yes, since the briefcase let you pick it up, it means the person fated with it is related to you."

Yu Holea almost laughed.

Yeah, she was related to Qiao Jun.

He was going to be her master for this week.

"But isn’t this treasure afraid that I will use it for my own self?"
