Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All -
Chapter 71: Kill yourself
Chapter 71: Chapter 71: Kill yourself
As Yu Holea lay paralyzed on the ground, her heart racing with fear, she tried to gather her remaining strength.
She desperately searched for any sign of help or a way to escape the situation.
Her mind raced, trying to come up with a plan, but her body remained unresponsive.
The large shadow looming over her grew closer, and Yu Holea could sense a malevolent presence.
It seemed that her previous victories had led her into a trap, and now she was at the mercy of an unknown enemy.
Suddenly, a voice broke through the silence.
It was not the mellow voice she had grown accustomed to, but a deep, sinister voice that sent chills down her spine.
"Task 3: Kill yourself"
Yu Holea felt dizzy for a moment.
Her brain turned chaotic.
She wasn’t able to think of anything.
A sword appeared in her hand suddenly
Her hand which was paralyse till now, suddenly lifted on her own accord.
’No!’
Yu Holea shouted.
However to her surprise, she heard different voices,
"You Jinx! Why don’t you leave us!" It was her mom from her previous life.
Yu Holea remembered that her mom started hating her from the moment she caused her mother to lose her job.
"Holea, some say that children are a form of god. I guess you are a form of devil." It was her dad from her previous life.
He started hating her from the moment, his legs were paralyzed in an accident while protecting Yu Holea.
"Holea there are people who are loved by god and people who aren’t loved by god. On the other hand, there are people who are hated by god and you are one of them."
It was Yu Mei’s voice.
Yu Holea paused hearing the last line.
Was she really hated by god?
Suddenly her master’s voice sounded,
"Holea, why did you kill me?"
Yu Holea was stunned hearing her master’s voice, however, what shocked her more was her master’s words.
"Master...Master, I didn’t!"
"You know the truth Holea! You jinxed me!"
Yu Holea was ashamed to hear her master’s words.
Indeed in her heart, she knew that her master may have died due to her curse.
Maybe because her master loved her, the god was angry and hence reduced her master’s life span.
Yu Holea felt that she was too selfish.
However she couldn’t help but say the next words,
"Master I...missed...you"
Silence.
Yu Holea was feeling a little suffocated and said,
"Master I missed you a lot. I always felt that I was wrong to come by your side. I wanted to apologize to you but you were already gone by that time."
Then like a kid who had done a mistake, she said,
"Sorry Master because of me, you died."
Even though no one replied to her back, Yu Holea kept on mumbling,
"Master how good it would be if I slept one day and never...woke up. Will anyone miss me?"
The shadowy figure was getting large and large however Yu Holea was totally oblivious.
The white fox who was lying in the bag suddenly got out and placed his paw on Yu Holea’s forehead.
A green light, transferred from his paw to Yu Holea’s head.
While doing so, the white fox looked at the pond just in front of him sadly.
In the pond, Yu Holea’s inner mind was getting reflected.
The view in front of him was very saddening.
Yu Holea whose head never lowers, was pitiful kneeling in front of a dark shadow.
Her eyes were filled with tears but nothing spilled out of her eyes.
Suddenly the white fox was lifted and his paw left Yu Holea’s head.
Yu Holea who was temporarily out of her daze state, fell back in the chaotic stage again.
After what seems like an eternity, Yu Holea heard her master’s voice,
"So you know your mistake?"
Yu Holea nodded.
"So can you kill yourself to serve me justice?"
Yu Holea paused and asked in a low voice,
"Master you are asking me to kill myself, to serve you justice."
"Indeed."
Yu Holea remained silent for a long while and suddenly smiled,
"What a great impersonation!"
"What are you saying?" Her master’s voice sounded again but this time, he sounded a little flustered.
Yu Holea said softly,
"He never called me Holea. He always called me Lea."
The voice turned silent for a second and then said with hatred,
"I was killed because of you, how could I not hate you?"
Yu Holea laughed hearing the words.
"Why are you laughing?"
"Nothing! Master, do you remember about the serial killer who killed your god-grandson? Do you remember what you did to that serial killer?"
"Yes!"
"So can you tell me what you did?"
"I...I hated him...and I gave him a curse."
This Yu Holea clutched her stomach and laughed.
"Why are you laughing?" This time the ’master’s’ voice sounded a little angry.
" No nothing! It is just, my master never had a god-grandson!"
Yu Holea laughed more widely but this time tears spilled out of her eyes.
She couldn’t help but say,
"You could have used any other method to hurt me. But impersonating my master, who I loved and respected, was a low blow."
Yu Holea said calmly.
"It doesn’t change the fact that your master was killed because of you."
Yu Holea’s laughter faded, and a somber expression settled on her face.
"You’re right," she admitted, her voice tinged with sadness. "I can’t deny that maybe my master died because of my curse. But..."
"But?"
"But I can’t change the past and let it become my...inner demon."
Yu Holea said softly,
"By Task 3: Kill yourself, you meant to kill my inner demons, right?"
"What are you saying I am not able to understand anything."
Yu Holea took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts and finding strength within herself.
"Task 3," she continued, her voice steady, "wasn’t about physically harming myself. It was about confronting the darkness within me, the guilt and self-blame that have haunted me for so long."
There was a long silence.
Suddenly the mellow voice sounded,
"Task 3 completed."
Yu Holea who was paralyzed till now was able to move.
She opened her eyes and saw the white fox staring at her.
The surrounding environment was changed.
She was currently in a green field.
A gentle breeze caressed her face, bringing a sense of tranquility.
The weight that had burdened her soul seemed to lift, replaced by a newfound lightness.
Yu Holea looked around, taking in the beauty of the green field and the vibrant colors of the flowers that dotted the landscape.
She hugged the white fox and asked,
"I felt a trace of warmth, were you behind it?"
The white fox stared at her.
Yu Holea felt that the white fox was a little cold to the touch.
Suddenly an old man in a white robe came in front of her.
Yu Holea lifted her head and saw an aged face with a long white beard and wise eyes looking at her.
"Yes?"
The white robe old man smiled and said,
"You have passed all the tests. Now all you have to do is drop your blood on that statute. Once the statute absorbs your blood, you will be able to obtain the talisman pagoda. "
He pointed at the stone statute nearby.
Yu Holea nodded and got up
She was feeling weak and slowly walked up to the statute.
Yu Holea suddenly remembered that she hadn’t brought her special knife.
Since she was a body cultivator Yu Holea’s body recovers on its own if she has a small cut or minor injuries.
Yu Holea decided to stop intaking the mystic energy so that she can have enough time to drop her blood on the stone statue...
However, her eyes suddenly widened.
She suddenly threw the fox away and attacked the old man.
The old man was stunned and was severely injured.
However, strangely the old man wasn’t bleeding.
Yu Holea sneered and said,
"Is it fun? Is it fun to attack someone with low cultivation?"
The old man hissed and transformed into a shadowy figure.
Even the fox transformed into a cold dead body.
The shadowy figure said with interest,
"Yes. After all, you are the smartest person I have encountered so far."
Yu Holea gritted her teeth and said,
"Come on let’s fight!"
The shadowy figure sighed and said,
"It would have been nice if you had dropped your blood on that statute! Sigh! How did you know that everything is an illusion?"
Yu Holea said nonchalantly,
"Since the moment I arrived, I wasn’t able to absorb the mystic energy."
"So?"
"And even after completing all the ’tasks’ I am still not able to absorb mystic energy. Meaning I still in the test."
There was silence for a few seconds before the shadowy figure laughed widely,
"Hahaha! See I told you, you are the smartest person I have met so far..."
