"I have a task for you," Yu Mei said curtly, her tone leaving no room for negotiation.

"Dig into Yu Holea’s past. I want every shred of evidence of her involvement with any questionable figures, no matter how minor. I also need someone... willing to tarnish her image further."

The man on the other end chuckled darkly. "Consider it done. Anything else?"

"Yes," Yu Mei continued, her tone dripping with malice.

"Forge documents and images that suggest an inappropriate relationship between her and Qiao Jun, dating back to before she turned eighteen. Make it damning."

"Understood," the man replied before hanging up.

Yu Mei smirked, tucking her phone back into her pocket. Her father’s plan was ruthless, but it was exactly what they needed to regain control.

Meanwhile, back in her room, Yu Holea received a message from one of her informants. Her eyes narrowed as she read the contents:

"Yu Mei has started moving. She’s hired someone to dig up dirt on you and is planning something big. Be careful."

Yu Holea clenched her fist, her jaw tightening. "So, this is how far they’re willing to go," she muttered.

She immediately picked up her phone and called Qiao Jun. He answered on the first ring.

"Lea?" he said, concern evident in his voice.

"They’re retaliating," Yu Holea said, her voice icy with determination. "Yu Mei is trying to dig up dirt on me. She might even try to fabricate something to turn the public against us."

"Let her try," Qiao Jun replied confidently. "I’ve been anticipating this. Our preparations are already in place. They won’t know what hit them."

Yu Holea’s lips curled into a smirk. "Good. Let’s remind them that we’re not so easily cornered."

The next day, social media buzzed with new rumors. Anonymous accounts began spreading fake stories about Yu Holea’s past, accusing her of associating with unsavory individuals.

Some posts even hinted at an inappropriate relationship between her and Qiao Jun, accompanied by doctored images that appeared to back up the claims.

In her room, Yu Holea stared at the screen in disbelief. The photos weren’t fake, but the narrative surrounding them was completely twisted. The men in the photos were her friends, allies, or people she had helped

But before she could make a move, others had already taken action.

Han Fei who was interning as a vet, saw the post almost lost his footing. He did like Yu Holea for her innocent and unique hair, but it was just a teenage crush.

He eventually moved on and made a girlfriend who loved him with her whole heart.
