Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All -
Chapter 601: Your Admirer
Chapter 601: Chapter 601: Your Admirer
Due to Vivian and Aunt Mila’s constant surveillance, he couldn’t reach out to her openly. Hence he retracted his claws for the time being.
At the same time, he understood that Yu Holea was truly angry with him. Qiao Jun seriously bought many books namely, ’How to redeem back your wife.’ , ’How to chase back your wife.’, ’99 ways to chase your wife back’
After reading through so many books, Qiao Jun gained a lot of experience and had already come up with a plan as to how to coax his wife back.
As for the punishment? It could wait. If he dared to show his displeasure at such a delicate time, he would be destined to remain as a concubine for the rest of his life.
The first step to redemption was accepting his mistake and promising to never commit it back.
Hence Qiao Jun stopped by Yu Holea’s hotel.
He decided to send an anonymous letter, penned in a delicate, heartfelt script, detailing his apologies and intentions to make things right.
He signed it simply as "Your Admirer," leaving the message at the hotel’s front desk with instructions to be delivered to her room.
He hoped she’d at least read it and see he was sincere. On returning in his car he ordered the driver to drop him at Aunt Mila’s mansion.
Qiao Jun leaned on the seat and closed his eyes. He was tired.
Suddenly his phone rang. Qiao Jun hurriedly looked at his phone thinking it was from Yu Holea but when he saw Rong Xue’s name flashing on the phone screen, his eyes turned cold.
His best friend.
His best friend who stabbed him in the back when he should have supported him! If that bastard didn’t force him to say those words, his Holea wouldn’t be so angry.
If he could get a chance, he would beat that sh*t up. How dare he call himself a best friend and take advantage of his friend?
Qiao Jun knew that he was partially a mistake too. Yu Holea wasn’t a commodity that he could give up.
But at that time, his mind was under his Aunt’s control. She made his mind believe that for him Yu Holea was nothing.
If only the recording wasn’t deleted from his phone. Qiao Jun didn’t need to know who deleted the recording.
With his intelligence, he could tell that it was Rong Xue. Maybe when he was in a daze or maybe when his mind was trying to fight against his aunt’s hypnosis, Rong Xue deleted the recording.
As for how Rong Xue knew about the recording? Maybe he had seen Qiao Jun turning the recording on.
Qiao Jun massaged his temple and coldly picked up the call.
Rong Xue’s cheerful voice sounded,
"Jun can you arrange a meeting of me and Holea? I think she might be hurt by the news. I want to visit her."
It wasn’t like Rong Xue didn’t think of meeting Yu Holea, but she refused every time, hence he could only turn to Qiao Jun for help.
Qiao Jun chuckled, viciousness flashed in his eyes,
"Sure. I will do it right away."
He tried his best to say every word in a dull tone.
Doesn’t Rong Xue like to backstab him? Let him have a feeling of getting backstabbed.
Rong Xue cheered in his heart. Thinking of meeting Yu Holea, he started to rummage through his closet.
"I will send you the location and the time, but due to her schedule, Yu Holea might be late, so..."
"Oh! You don’t have to worry, I will take care of it!" Rong Xue interrupted Qiao Jun.
Qiao Jun gritted his teeth. He had seen many drama shows where a scheming friend tries to take away the female lead’s friend, but for the first time, he was seeing a real-life drama where a best friend is so openly taking away his friend’s girlfriend!
Taking a deep breath, Qiao Jun sent the location of a faraway place and wrote the timing to be 10 pm.
As for informing Yu Holea? Forget about it.
By the time he reached Aunt Mila’s house, the pill had already arrived Qiao Jun ate the pill and let the pill work.
For a fraction of second Qiao Jun felt dizzy. Clutching his head, he closed his eyes. A wave of nausea passed through his body.
When the sensation slowly calmed down, Qiao Jun opened his eyes and acted as if everything was okay.
He exited the car and made a beeline to the mansion. The guard on duty saluted Qiao Jun and let him enter.
Once inside, a maid led Qiao Jun to the living room and have him sit down.
It wasn’t long before Aunt Mila entered, her eyes cold and calculating, yet her smile radiated a false warmth.
"Qiao Jun, dear," she cooed, handing him a glass of water as she settled across from him, her gaze locked onto his.
"You must be exhausted. Here, drink."
Without hesitation, he took the glass, sipping slowly.
Resisting to any actions means rebellion and Aunt Mila would be alert if he every showed any resistance.
Immediately, he sensed it—the faint tinge of something laced within the water.
Aunt Mila had used the water as the medium for her hypnosis, testing his will to resist.
Yet thanks to the Awakening Pill, he felt none of the usual sluggishness that came with her control.
This time, he was in complete command. But he masked his clarity under a vacant stare, allowing his eyes to grow dull.
Aunt Mila’s smile widened, satisfied that her concoction had taken hold. "Qiao Jun, tell me honestly," she began, her voice cool yet commanding.
"Do you still harbor feelings for Yu Holea?"
Qiao Jun fought the urge to sneer, burying his disgust.
"Yes," he answered tonelessly, playing his part with precision.
She narrowed her gaze, clearly intrigued by his response.
Her question had been a trap to gauge how well he could resist her control, and she’d baited it perfectly.
"Good." She nodded, watching him closely.
"Now," she continued her tone hardening, "forget about that girl. Instead, you will propose to Vivian. You two belong together, and the world will accept nothing less."
An icy rage churned within him at her words.
The thought of being shackled to Vivian, of being forced away from Yu Holea by someone who had no right to meddle in his life, filled him with disgust.
But he kept his face blank, nodding obediently like a puppet. He couldn’t allow her to see any hint of his resistance.
"Very good, Qiao Jun," Aunt Mila cooed approvingly. Her eyes glinted with cruel satisfaction as she continued.
"But I need more than just your marriage to Vivian. I want you to publicly humiliate Yu Holea, to sever any remaining ties with her in the most painful way possible.
She’s been a thorn in our family’s side for too long, and it’s time she’s put in her place."
Qiao Jun’s jaw clenched imperceptibly, fury bubbling beneath his calm expression.
It took every ounce of his self-control to maintain his blank expression, to stop himself from letting the hatred flash in his gaze.
If only she knew that he was just waiting for the right moment to end her reign over him.
The anger boiling in his heart only fueled his resolve to play along, giving Aunt Mila the appearance of a dutiful, obedient pawn.
She snapped her fingers, a signal for him to "wake" from his supposed trance.
Qiao Jun blinked, feigning confusion as he looked around, disoriented. Aunt Mila let out a self-satisfied chuckle.
"Qiao Jun, dear, you looked lost in thought for a moment," she remarked, her voice dripping with a deceptive sweetness.
He gave her a sheepish smile, masking his disdain.
"I’m sorry, Aunt Mila. I must be a bit more tired than I thought."
Deep down, he knew he couldn’t make any sudden moves against her, not yet.
The sinister binding that tied him to her was too dangerous, too deeply entwined to unravel recklessly.
He had only told a half-truth to Yu Holea.
If he wanted to, he could have killed Aunt Mila right away, but the problem was, if she died...he would be dead too.
There were more things that he didn’t tell Yu Holea. After all, he had hurt her too much. He can’t possibly drag her in his mess, right?
Just then Vivian enters the villa with red eyes and shouts,
"Mother! You have to kill that b*tch! She..."
Midway through her sentence, Vivian stopped when she saw Qiao Jun. A hint of panic appeared in her eyes.
She wished Qiao Jun didn’t hear her call Yu Holea a b*tch and instantly put on a smile.
"Brother Jun."
Qiao Jun’s jaw clenched slightly at Vivian’s outburst, though he quickly composed himself, plastering on a neutral expression.
He watched as she masked her earlier rage with a sweet, seemingly innocent smile, calling him "Brother Jun" in a soft, simpering tone.
"I should leave." He stood up.
