Chapter 572: Hypnosis
Chapter 572: Chapter 572: Hypnosis
He wasn’t finished.
"And you, Vivian..." Qiao Jun turned to her, his voice cold and measured. "Do you even know why you hate Yu Holea? Or are you just parroting your mother’s resentment?"
Vivian, with tears still streaming down her face, stammered,
"I-I just... I thought she was using you! That she didn’t really love you!"
Qiao Jun shook his head, his lips curling into a bitter smile.
"You thought? Or did Aunt Mila tell you to think that way? Yu Holea has never wronged you, yet you were quick to judge her.
Do you even know her? You’ve barely exchanged more than a few words with her."
Vivian remained silent, her lip trembling.
Aunt Mila shifted uncomfortably in her seat, her eyes darting toward Rong Xue, who was sitting calmly, observing the entire exchange.
Rong Xue leaned back in his chair, his gaze flicking between the tense family members.
He said nothing, allowing Qiao Jun to handle the situation.
Qiao Jun let out a heavy sigh, running a hand through his hair before continuing,
"Let me make one thing clear to both of you: Yu Holea is not the problem. She never was.
The problem is that you refuse to accept that I’m capable of making my own decisions. You treat me like a child who can’t think for himself."
Aunt Mila’s mouth opened and closed, her face growing red with frustration.
"Jun, you don’t understand—"
"No, you don’t understand," Qiao Jun interrupted, his tone firm.
"I’m tired of the manipulation, the constant undermining of my decisions. Yu Holea doesn’t need your approval, and neither do I."
However, the moment he finished speaking, Aunt Mila suddenly clinked on the glass with a spoon.
Qiao Jun’s expression suddenly turned daze.
Aunt Mila patted her heart and looked at Qiao Jun,
"I said shut up. Don’t you dare say another word, do you understand? Nod your head if you."
Aunt Mila watched as Qiao Jun sat there, dazed, nodding like a lifeless puppet.
Her lips curled into a satisfied smile as she clinked her glass once more, ensuring the hypnosis had taken full effect.
If it didn’t, she would start to wonder if her hard work, for the past three years, was even worth or not.
"Vivian," she said, her voice sharp, "take Rong Xue out of here. I need to have a private conversation with Jun."
Vivian hesitated, her tear-streaked face showing signs of confusion and reluctance.
She glanced at Rong Xue, who had been observing the whole scene in silence, his eyes calm but attentive.
For a brief moment, Vivian seemed unsure of what to do, but Aunt Mila’s voice cut through her indecision.
"Go!" Aunt Mila snapped, her gaze hard and unyielding. "I said take him away."
Rong Xue, still seated, finally stood up, his movements slow and deliberate.
His eyes met Aunt Mila’s, and for a moment, there was an unspoken tension between them.
He stood there, staring at her as if assessing the situation, his calm demeanor giving nothing away.
After a long, quiet pause, Rong Xue nodded slightly and turned toward Vivian.
"Let’s go," he said softly. Vivian, though visibly conflicted, obeyed and followed him out of the room.
As soon as the door clicked shut behind them, Aunt Mila let out a small sigh of relief.
She turned her attention back to Qiao Jun, who remained motionless, staring ahead with blank, glazed eyes.
"Now, Jun..." Aunt Mila began, her voice taking on a soothing, almost motherly tone.
"I need you to listen very carefully."
She leaned closer to him, her voice dripping with false concern as she spoke slowly and clearly.
"You don’t like Yu Holea, Jun. You never have. She’s not worth your time, not worth your affection. She’s nothing but a gold digger, only after your wealth and status."
Qiao Jun’s expression didn’t change. He sat still, his face empty of emotion, his mind fully under her control.
Aunt Mila continued, her words sinking into the depths of Qiao Jun’s subconscious.
"Think about it. Has Yu Holea ever done anything for you? No. She’s only ever taken from you.
She’s manipulative, just like the rest of them. You don’t care about her, Jun. You never did. In fact..." Aunt Mila’s voice grew more insistent, "you don’t even remember the good things about her, do you?"
Qiao Jun remained silent, his head slowly nodding in agreement, his mind absorbing every poisonous word.
"That’s right," Aunt Mila cooed, her smile widening.
"There’s nothing special about Yu Holea. She’s just a distraction, a worthless girl who doesn’t deserve you.
You’ll forget every good thing about her, every moment of kindness or warmth you think you shared. They don’t matter."
She stood up, pacing in front of him, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
"From now on, you’ll see her for what she really is—a gold digger who only wants to take from you. You’ll realize that she’s beneath you, unworthy of your time or love."
Aunt Mila paused and leaned over him again, her voice dropping to a whisper.
"And the next time you see her, you’ll end things. You’ll make her understand that she’s nothing to you. Do you understand, Jun?"
Qiao Jun nodded slowly, his eyes still empty, his mind fully under Aunt Mila’s control.
Aunt Mila straightened up, pleased with the outcome.
She had finally secured her grip on Qiao Jun, ensuring that Yu Holea would no longer be a threat to her plans.
"Good boy," she murmured, brushing a hand gently over his hair. "Also remember...the only girl you like is..."
A hint of resistance appeared on Qiao Jun’s face when he heard the girl’s name but Aunt Mila repeated the words near him for a long time and he finally nodded with a dumb expression.
"Now, rest for a moment. When I snap my fingers, you’ll wake up, and everything I’ve told you will be embedded deep in your mind."
She took a step back, snapping her fingers sharply. Qiao Jun blinked, his dazed expression fading as he slowly came back to consciousness, unaware of the mental manipulation he had just undergone.
Aunt Mila smiled, her voice now sweet and gentle. "Are you feeling better, Jun?"
Qiao Jun rubbed his temples, a slight frown on his face as if something was off, but he couldn’t place it.
"Yeah... I guess," he mumbled, still a bit disoriented.
"Good," Aunt Mila said, her voice dripping with affection.
"I’m glad we had this little chat. Now, why don’t you take some time to relax? You’ve been through a lot."
Qiao Jun nodded absently, still unaware of the deep-rooted suggestions now controlling his thoughts.
"I will leave for now. I am not feeling well." He said.
As he stood up to leave, Aunt Mila watched him with a victorious gleam in her eyes.
Her plan was in motion, and soon enough, Yu Holea would be nothing more than a distant memory in Qiao Jun’s life.
...........................
Qiao Jun walked out of the private room and stopped the recording.
He truly doesn’t remember what Aunt Mila has said to him, but he was smart enough to record it.
Once he reaches home, he will rewind the audio and listen to it, to know what exactly was Aunt Mila planting in his mind.
However, as soon as he exited the private room he saw Rong Xue and Vivian talking with each other.
’From when did they start to get acquainted with each other?’ Qiao Jun thought with a frown.
He walked up to them and heard Vivian say,
"You shouldn’t hide it. After all, he is your true best friend. He will definitely not like to act as a villain in your love life!"
"What is going on here?" Qiao Jun asked.
Wasn’t he the only best friend of Rong Xue?
How did he end up becoming the villain of his best friend’s love life?
Vivian looked at Qiao Jun as if she had seen some ghost and immediately covered her mouth as if she had said something wrong.
Qiao Jun frowned,
"I am asking something."
Vivian shook her head and said softly,
"Nothing. I will take my leave."
Before leaving she didn’t forget to glance at Qiao Jun and Rong Xue.
Once she left, Qiao Jun glared at Rong Xue and asked,
"Why did you leave the private room? And what was Vivian saying earlier? How did I become the villain of your love life?"
Rong Xue stared at Qiao Jun and said softly,
"Let’s talk in your car."
Qiao Jun nodded and followed Rong Xue to lift.
Vivian entered the room and her timid expression instantly disappeared.
She calmly sat in the seat opposite Aunt Mila, where Qiao Jun was sitting earlier, and said softly,
"Mom, I have done it."
Aunt Mila smiled,
"Good work. Now we just need to wait. Everything will turn out good as long as all the chess pieces take action."
Vivian nodded, she poured wine in a cup, gave one to her mother and picked up the other,
"Cheers!"
"Cheers!"
