Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 568: Dream Catcher

Chapter 568: Chapter 568: Dream Catcher

After the last needle was placed, Yu Holea sat back for a moment, allowing the needles to do their work.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, focusing her own energy, and channeling it through her hands and into the points she had activated.

Though she doesn’t know on which level she had reached after cultivating for the past 3 years, Yu Holea was confident that Mo Jiang’s mother’s condition would improve once her mystic energy started to travel within her(Mo Jiang’s mother.)

The room was filled with the quiet hum of the machines.

Mo Jiang’s hands trembled as she clasped them together, her eyes never leaving her mother’s face.

Minutes passed, though to Mo Jiang, they felt like hours.

She was about to say something, perhaps to ask if it was working when Yu Holea suddenly stood up and began adjusting a few of the needles.

"Her energy is responding," Yu Holea said, her tone filled with focus.

"It’s faint, but it’s there."

Mo Jiang stepped closer, her eyes wide.

"What does that mean?"

"It means that her body is starting to wake up," Yu Holea replied, moving to place another needle at a different point on the woman’s arm.

"Now we just need to be patient."

For what felt like an eternity, nothing happened.

Mo Jiang’s hope began to waver, her heart sinking as the minutes dragged on.

But then, there was a flicker—a tiny, almost imperceptible movement in her mother’s fingers.

"Did... did she just...?" Mo Jiang gasped, her voice breaking as she stepped closer to the bed, her eyes locked on her mother’s hand.

Yu Holea smiled softly.

"It’s starting."

Suddenly, a faint groan escaped Mo Jiang’s mother’s lips.

Her eyelids fluttered, struggling as if they were trying to lift the heavy weight of a decade of sleep.

Mo Jiang’s breath caught in her throat, her heart racing as she reached out to touch her mother’s hand.

"M-Mother?" Mo Jiang’s voice was shaky, and disbelief and hope warred within her as she watched her mother’s eyes slowly begin to open.

The beeping of the machines changed slightly as Mo Jiang’s mother took a deeper breath, her chest rising more noticeably than before.

Her eyes, though glazed with the haze of years spent in darkness, found focus and settled on her daughter’s face.

"M... Mo... Jiang?" Her voice was hoarse, barely a whisper, but it was there. It was real.

Mo Jiang’s eyes filled with tears, her body trembling as she fell to her knees beside the bed, clutching her mother’s hand as if she might disappear at any moment.

"Mother... Mother, you’re awake!"

For a moment, her mind started to flash the pictures of how she struggled.

The times she was humiliated, the time she wanted to cry, the time she wanted to give up on life and the time she felt nothing was worth it.

Seeing her mother opening her eyes, Mo Jiang felt everything was worth it.

The older woman’s lips curved into the faintest of smiles as she looked at her daughter.

"I... I’ve been asleep... for so long..."

Mo Jiang couldn’t hold back her sobs any longer.

"Mother! Mother, I missed you so much. Sob....sob, mother...I...I felt as if you would never wake up...I thought...I have lost you forever."

Heartache flashed in the old woman’s eyes. Looking at her child whom she had last saw in her teenage years, her eyes were filled with tears.

Yu Holea looked away.

She couldn’t bear to look at the scene.

The mother and daughter duo hugged each other and cried for a long time.

After crying for 10 minutes or so, they pulled from each other.

Mo Jiang as if remembering something turned to Yu Holea,

"Thank you... thank you, Yu Holea!" she cried, her voice breaking as she turned to look at Yu Holea, who stood a few feet away, her expression soft but calm.

"You don’t need to thank me," Yu Holea said gently, pulling the needles out one by one with practiced care.

"Your mother’s body did the hard work. I just gave it a little push."

Mo Jiang stood, tears streaming down her face, and before Yu Holea could react, she threw her arms around her in a tight hug.

"You have no idea what this means to me. I... I don’t have the words to thank you enough."

She thanked god in her heart for bringing Yu Holea into her life.

She thanked her past self for trusting Yu Holea.

Maybe the god wasn’t so cruel... Maybe he does send a miracle when they see someone is desperate for it.

Yu Holea, a bit startled by the sudden embrace, smiled and gently patted Mo Jiang’s back.

"I’m just glad she’s awake. But remember, this is just the beginning. She’ll need more treatment to fully recover."

Mo Jiang pulled back, wiping her tears but smiling brightly.

"I’ll do whatever it takes. Just tell me what to do."

She had struggled for the past 10 years, how can she not wait for a few more months?

Yu Holea nodded, glancing back at the older woman, who was now awake,

"Let her rest for a few days before I will continue with the treatment."

"How...how many sessions will it require?" Mo Jiang asked nervously.

"Around 5. I will drop by every week and by the end of the 5th week, she will be able to walk around normally." Yu Holea answered.

Mo Jiang’s eyes brightened and she smiled widely,

"Okay."

Then she took out her phone and sent an extra 20 million to Yu Holea,

"Here. This is the treatment fees..."

Before she could finish her words, Yu Holea had already sent the money back and shook her head,

"No. The money that I took earlier was to not get any karma. As for the treatment money it was included in it."

Mo Jiang was surprised. Finally, her head was lowered and a few drops of tears started to drop from her eyes.

Yet a smile formed on her face,

"Sorry, for misunderstanding you earlier."

The reality was when Yu Holea asked her to transfer 2 million yuan, Mo Jiang was skeptical.

If she was a divination master then she should believe in god too, right? Then why was she asking for money?

But now...when Yu Holea treated her mother, Mo Jiang felt the 2 million was too little.

Who would have thought that the 2 million yuan was taken by her(Yu Holea) to escape the karma?

Yu Holea left Mo Jiang’s house and found a secluded corner.

She entered her space and took a nap before making her way to Jung Xiao’s home.

Compared to the villa Mo Jiang was living in, Jung Xiao’s home was an apartment given to her by her company.

It wasn’t fancy but had a cozy vibe around it, making Yu Hoela feel as if the apartment was very beautiful.

Jung Xiao had worn a pink night suit, had a face mask on, a satin heatless curling rod around her hair.

"Oh, you have arrived. I thought you would come by midnight."

Yu Holea raised an eyebrow, but her eyes kept on looking at the satin heatless curling rod.

"Does it hurt?"

"Hm? This? No." Jung Xiao waved her hand and invited her in.

"You can sit down on the sofa, I will get you some snacks."

Yu Holea nodded and Jung Xiao left.

Jung Xiao’s apartment was a 3-bedroom apartment, with one living room, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a small study room.

From the living room, Yu Holea could see Jung Xiao working in the kitchen, her eyes wandered and landed on the dream catcher tied at the window.

She stared at the dream catcher for a few minutes, before looking away.

Jung Xiao arrived with a plate of snacks and cookies.

"So are you going to inspect the apartment or..."

"I will wait till you fall asleep." Yu Holea answered. "By the way, I have some questions. And I hope you will answer it properly. No need to hide anything."

"Sure." Jung Xiao sat on the sofa opposite Yu Holea.

"From when did you start to have nightmares?"

"It has been 6 months." Jung Xiao answered with uncertainty.

"Hm. So the nightmare is not related to this apartment, right?" Yu Holea asked.

Jung Xiao nodded.

"What did you see in your last nightmare?" Yu Holea asked.

Jung Xiao’s body trembled as she answered,

"I saw that I woke up and started to walk towards the kitchen..."

The dream of the previous night started to flash in Jung Xiao’s mind.

She found herself walking toward the kitchen.

As soon she reached the counter, she saw a figure doing something with the utensils.

"Who are you?" She asked.

But the figure ignored her.

Jung Xiao gulped and walked toward the figure to tap on it shoulder. Just as she tapped on the figure’s shoulder, she felt a tap on her shoulder, too.

Turning behind she saw herself.

Jung Xiao’s heart skipped a beat.
