"Well, Sister Ai," Yu Holea said, her voice cool and calm.

"How exactly could I have been at the Moonlight Hotel when this ticket clearly shows I was on the other side of town?"

Sister Ai’s face turned red with embarrassment, her eyes darting around for someone to rescue her.

But no one in the crowd spoke up.

The more they looked at the ticket and remembered Yu Holea’s composed demeanor, the more it became clear who was telling the truth.

"I—I must have been mistaken..." Sister Ai stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Mistaken?" Yu Holea’s voice was laced with quiet authority.

"Or perhaps you were trying to create a scandal?"

Sister Ai’s lips trembled, but she didn’t respond.

Seeing the situation slip further out of Sister Ai’s control, Yu Holea pressed on.

"I wonder why you’d try to spread such lies about me. What could you possibly gain from associating me with Director Gong in this way?

It almost seems like someone is trying to frame me."

The moment she finished speaking, Sister Ai shook her head and said,

"What are you saying, Miss Yu...I would never do such a thing. Maybe I was mistaken. For the past few days, I don’t feel well.

The doctor has said that I have some brain condition, because of which I may act absurd sometimes, please don’t take my words seriously."

"Is that so?" Yu Holea asked playfully.

"And why is Director Gong taking that Ai woman’s side so much?"

"She is his assistant." Jiang Mushu replied.

"Ah? Is that so? But I have never seen any husband who supports their assistant more than their wife." Yu Holea hinted.
