Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 550: Misfortune

Chapter 550: Chapter 550: Misfortune

Yu Holea stared at the phone in a daze before picking it up.

Mrs. Yu’s concerned voice sounded,

"Holea...why didn’t you return to the mansion this time? Are you alright? I have heard about your fiance. Holea you don’t need to put your self-esteem down for a man.

If he keeps on rejecting you, just give up on him. The day when he recovers, he will return to you on his own accord."

Before Yu Holea could reply, Mrs. Yu changed the subject and said,

"Anyways, I called you to ask...when are you free? Once you are free we can hold a grand banquet to announce your true identity."

"No need." Yu Holea stopped Mrs. Yu.

Though she had become somewhat tolerant towards the Yu family, for some reason she didn’t want to be acknowledged as a member of the Yu family.

Mrs. Yu was silent for a while before sighing,

"Okay. I won’t force you since you don’t want to."

Yu Holea heaved a sigh of relief.

"Are you free today?"

"Hm? Yes."

"Can you accompany me to Park Knight Hotel today?" Mrs. Yu asked with a hint of expectation in her voice.

Yu Holea froze, before stiffly asking,

"Why?"

Mrs. Yu had expected this question and answered,

"My best friend is going to hold the party for her 50th anniversary."

Best friend?

50th anniversary?

That means she was at least 10 years older than Mrs. Yu.

Then how come they became best friend?

Is it possible that Mrs. Yu is...

Yu Holea shook her head.

It was impossible.

"Fine."

Anyway, she had her own plans. If she was right about everything she could easily avoid the plot and punish the mastermind and even if she wasn’t right, the least she could do is avoid the scheme.

"Good. Then I will prepare the gown and the jewelry for you. Come back to the mansion by evening and we will leave together later."

"Okay." Yu Holea agreed.

After hanging up, Yu Holea received another call from the special force officer, informing her about the reward she had received this time.

Looking at the check of 50 million, a satisfied smile had appeared on Yu Holea’s face.

She decided to visit the Ye mansion, collect little Ye’s items, and bring them to his grave.

That boy was too cute...he deserved a proper farewell.

....

At the same time in a villa.

A bald man with a pot belly was currently lying on his bed with a fearful expression on his face.

Last night when he returned to his villa he slipped as soon as he entered the villa, which resulted in him crashing into a shoe stand and getting a forehead injury.

One of the maids worried about him hurriedly brought a medical kit, but who would have thought that the medicines in the medical kit would be expiry...

Hence in the end the man’s injuries started to fester even more rather than recovering.

By the time the man realized the problem it was too late.

When he made his way toward his room which was on the second floor, he slipped and fell down the stairs.

From that moment on, the man started to feel as if he was haunted by some ghost. He kept on suffering from various injuries.

At first, he could still think that it was all a coincidence, but as more time passed, the more he realized that something was wrong.

Later his maids helped him to his room. Once all alone, the man started to feel as if something was...looking at him...

At first, it was just a guess but when he looked in the mirror, he saw a woman with torn clothes and various injuries on her face glaring at him.

The hatred in the woman’s eyes made the man scream. By the time his maid entered the room, the woman was gone.

But the man was traumatized and held onto the maid, asking her to not leave him.

The maid agreed.

For the rest of the night, he held the maid and kept on looking around warily.

By dawn, the maid requested the man to leave her since she wanted to use the bathroom and the man finally let the maid let go.

Before leaving the maid softly whispered,

"Mr. Tao please check your phone, it has been ringing for the past night."

The man was Tao Huaqin.

Tao Huaqin waved his hand in an irritated manner and said,

"Fine, you leave."

"Okay."

When the maid left the bathroom, Tao Huaqin checked the phone and realized that he had received several phone calls from his subordinate.

"Boss...our base in City N is being raided!"

"Boss, the police had suddenly raided our alcohol business."

"Bad news boss! Someone has leaked the address of our drug business to the police."

Looking at the bad news that kept piling up, Tao Huaqin’s face turned dark.

How could in one night everything turn so wrong?

Before he could deal with any of the matter he saw a message that was sent to him on personal.

It was one of the maids who claimed that she couldn’t make it to the mansion since her child was sick.

Tao Huaqin’s face turned pale when he saw that message.

The maid who messaged him happened to be the maid whom he had hugged all night.

Tao Huaqin was scared and hurriedly called the maid. When the call was connected he lashed on the maid,

"Do you think it’s f*cking funny to do such a prank?"

"Mr. Tao ...what are you speaking? I...I...ca-can’t understand...y-your...w-words." The maid sounded very frightened.

However, Tao Huaqin wasn’t in the mood to hear the maid’s words,

"You can’t understand my words? You f*cking retard..."

He couldn’t finish his words because the next second the door of his room opened and he saw the maid standing at his door with a creepy smile on her face.

"Mr. Tao...ple-please...control your anger..." The maid on the phone call said.

Tao Huaqin’s face changed.

If the real maid was talking with him...then who was the maid, standing at the entrance of the door?

"Help!" Tao Huaqin’s mind reacted even before he could react.

The maid on the other side was stunned, before saying,

"Mr. Tao...I can’t hear you...Hello?"

"Help! Help me!" Tao Huaqin shouted as he saw the ghost maid walking towards him.

Suddenly the phone cut off.

Tao Huaqin started to panic and hurriedly created some distance between himself and the ghost maid.

"W-What do you want?!" he stammered, his voice trembling with fear.

The ghost maid tilted her head, her eyes glinting with malicious intent as she came closer.

Tao’s breath hitched as he felt the icy chill of her presence, the temperature in the room dropping sharply.

His legs finally gave out, and he collapsed onto the floor, scrambling to back away until he hit the edge of the bed.

"I... I didn’t mean to—!" Tao Huaqin’s voice cracked as he pleaded for his life. "Please, please spare my life...wu..."

Saying so Tao Huaqin fainted.

..................

At night.

Yu Holea returned to the Yu family and let the hair and makeup artist do their work.

The dress Yu Holea was wearing was an off-shoulder silver gown with some intricate black flowers paired with black jewelry.

For her, the hairstylist had decided to go for a bun with two strands of curled hair falling from either side.

"Drop dead gorgeous!" The makeup artist muttered. She had decided to do the minimal makeup strategy since Yu Holea’s facial features were well-defined and beautiful.

Yu Holea looked at herself in the mirror and only had one thought in her mind. She was in the black and silver TV show.

"Ah? Lea? You are looking so...beautiful." Mrs. Yu’s voice brought Yu Holea back from her daze.

"Is it necessary to dress up so much?" Yu Holea asked. Her tone was a bit hesitant. "Won’t I look... overdressed."

"No dear. If I say...you might call yourself underdressed once...you reach the venue." Mrs. Yu sighed.

Yu Holea didn’t believe her words until she reached the banquet.

Looking at the grand banquet hall, Yu Holea felt as if she had stepped into a different world.

Yu Holea paused at the entrance, her hand clutching the silver clutch in her hand.

"See? What did I tell you?" Mrs. Yu smiled softly, her own elegant gown fitting perfectly within the grand atmosphere.

"You’re not overdressed at all."

As they stepped into the hall, a woman dressed in an elegant black dress approached them, her face lighting up as soon as she saw Mrs. Yu.

"Bestie!" the woman exclaimed, embracing Mrs. Yu warmly. "It’s been far too long."

Mrs. Yu smiled, returning the embrace.

"It has, indeed. Liling, I’d like you to meet my daughter, Holea."

Yu Holea could see the smile slowly fading away from the woman’s face.
