Min Jiao was filled with anger, fear, and despair. Hearing Yu Holea’s question, something triggered inside her and she lunged at Yu Holea,

"It was all because of you! You b*tch see how I will deal with you!"

Yu Holea dodged, resulting in Min Jiao crashing into a nearby wall.

Min Jiao crumpled to the ground, dazed and disoriented from the impact. She groaned, clutching her head as pain radiated through her skull.

"You need to understand something, Min Jiao," Yu Holea said, her voice calm and measured.

"What you’ve done cannot be undone. You’ve meddled with forces far beyond your understanding, and now you must face the consequences.

You were the one who chose that option, I just only brought it to light. But there is still a way to salvage what’s left of your life."

Min Jiao glared at Yu Holea, her eyes wet with unshed tears.

"Salvage? How? My life is ruined because of that celestial master! And now you’re telling me to just accept it?"

Before Yu Holea could answer, Wu Ainan shouted at her,

"Have some shame, Jiao! You are the one who is at fault and yet you are blaming others?"

Min Jiao was frustrated and kicked the wall after standing up,

"F*ck you! I don’t want to talk. I will directly talk with that mysterious celestial master. See how I will make your life more miserable now. Earlier I just wanted your luck, but now, I will not only ruin your life, but I will also destroy everything you hold dear!" Min Jiao screamed.

She turned toward Yu Holea and said with deep hatred in her eyes,

"And you! I will ask that master to destroy you too!"

Wu Ainan clenched her fists, trembling with anger.

"You’re hopeless, Min Jiao. You’ve let your greed and fear consume you completely. But I won’t let you hurt anyone else."

However, in her heart, Wu Ainan was sacred.

Yu Holea frowned,

"Stop it. I can understand you. You can still redeem yourself-"

For a moment few flashbacks appeared in her mind.

Just as he was thinking why she didn’t call him, he felt her arms wrap around him from behind. The sudden embrace surprised him.

Yu Holea buried her face in his back, taking a deep breath as if trying to memorize his scent. The emotions she had been holding back since their reunion flooded her heart.

How she wanted to cry and tell him, how much others bullied her but she knew...the current Qiao Jun would probably not even care...

"Miss Yu?"

Just a single word from Qiao Jun was enough to bring Yu Holea back to reality and she moved away.

"Ah, I am sorry, I mistook you for someone else." Yu Holea lied.

Qiao Jun knew she was lying, however...

"One of my friends." Yu Holea said casually and took out lunch from the bag.

Qiao Jun as if snapping out of his daze said,

"Ah... I was just curious. Anyway, the attending doctor came and said that I could be discharged later."

Yu Holea smiled hiding the disappointment and said,

"Really? Good."

"Hm."

Yu Holea served the lunch and turned on the TV so that the atmosphere didn’t turn awkward.

The reporter reported new schemes and policies as well as some news about educational achievement.

Qiao Jun ate the lunch and asked,

"Did you make all of this?"

"Hm." Yu Holea nodded. "Did you like it?"

"Not bad." Qiao Jun said.

Yu Holea’s face fell. Earlier whenever she made food for him, he would praise her to the sky. But now...

’Just wait! The day you remember your memory, I will kick you out of my bedroom for 2 days straight.’ Yu Holea thought.

After Qiao Jun finished his lunch, Yu Holea saw a crumble on Qiao Jun’s lips and instinctively reached out to wipe it away.

But just as her fingers were about to touch his lips, she hesitated, remembering that things were different now.

She pulled her hand back, masking her internal conflict with a small, forced smile.

"There’s a crumb on your lips," she said softly, pointing to it instead.

Qiao Jun glanced down at the spot she indicated and quickly wiped it away with his napkin.

"Is it gone?"

"No. It is on the other side." Yu Holea said.

Qiao Jun touched his left cheek.

"No! To a little right! No...a little bit left! Wait!"

Having enough, Yu Holea stood up to wipe it away on her own, however, her legs tripped and she fell right on Qiao Jun, her face inches from his.

The unexpected closeness left both of them momentarily stunned. For a split second, their eyes locked, and time seemed to stand still.

Yu Holea could feel the heat rising to her cheeks as she quickly tried to push herself away, but her hand slipped on the fabric of his hospital gown, causing her to lose balance again.

Qiao Jun, reacting instinctively, caught her by the shoulders to steady her.

His grip was firm but gentle, and for a brief moment, neither of them moved. Yu Holea’s heart pounded in her chest.

The handsome face in front of her was tempting her to do immoral things.

Looking at the red lips that were only a few inches away, she couldn’t help but lean toward Qiao Jun’s lips.

However, before she could touch beautiful red lips, Qiao Jun turned his face away,

"Are you okay, Miss Yu?"

Hearing the distance address of her name, Yu Holea’s heart sank. It was as if someone had poured cold water on her.

Yu Holea closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, a smile was visible on her face,

"Yes, I am alright."

Just as she was about to move away, the door of the hospital room was opened, and a cheerful entered Qiao Jun and Yu Holea’s ears,

"Brother Jun! "

Yu Holea and Qiao Jun turned to look and saw Vivian who had a huge smile on her face.

However, the smile slowly wiped away and she turned around,

"I am sorry! I didn’t mean to disturb you."

"No, you are not." Qiao Jun said hurriedly.

Yu Holea lowered her gaze and moved away.

She repeatedly told herself.

’This is your Jun! He doesn’t want to hurt you! He just has lost his memory!’

Finally, her disappointment reduced and she asked Vivian with a smile,

"You are Vivian, right? I have heard you are practicing medicine."

"Yes! I want to become a famous doctor like Brother Rong."
