Chapter 519: Wu Ainan And Min Jiao
Chapter 519: Chapter 519: Wu Ainan And Min Jiao
Yu Holea’s eyes moistened up and she asked in a choked voice,
"What are you going to decline it? How can you act like a jerk? While doing all those things you promised to love me even more but now, you are claiming that you won’t do such things...why is life so hard? Sniff...sniff."
Qiao Jun instantly panicked,
"No! No! That was not what I meant. You...you were 16, three years ago, right? How can I...do such things with you? I...I am sorry! I was totally a beast!"
Yu Holea was delighted that Qiao Jun had stepped inside her trap and continued,
"So you don’t even remember how like a domineering president, you held my hand the next morning and claimed, that you will everyday announce your love in front of everyone."
"I did?" Qiao Jun asked with surprise.
"Yes. You even promised to read the domineering president novels, since I liked domineering president novels." Yu Holea continued with her.
The truth was...Qiao Jun hated those types of novels. But who asked him to torment her for the past 3 years?
See now, how she will take revenge for herself.
He could only blame himself for forgetting the past 5 years.
"I promised that too?" Qiao Jun was incredulously
Hence without any psychological burden, Yu Holea continued,
"Yes. You also promised me that you will every morning call me ’Honey~’ and say ’I missed you, honey’
There was also the promise that you cuddle with me after every 2 hours."
"H-Honey?"Qiao Jun was stunned.
Yu Holea wanted to laugh.
Qiao Jun was comfortable using words like ’darling’ or ’baby’ but he hated using the word honey.
There was also cuddling...
At first, Qiao Jun always used to cuddle her. Yu Hola enjoyed cuddling a lot. However one day Qiao Jun suddenly stopped cuddling her.
His reason?
Well he something along the line of ’sweet torture’, but Yu Holea didn’t understand much.
All she felt was regret. If only...if only he continued to cuddle with her...
Now that a golden opportunity was right in front of her, how could she let it go?
So Yu Holea threw all the requests Qiao Jun hated.
In the end, Qiao Jun only had one word in his mind,
Doomed.
Taking a deep breath, he said,
"You see...I have lost my memory so..."
Yu Holea covered her face instantly and cried,
"Now are you going to back off from your words? I am such a helpless and pitiful girl. First, my fiance did such unspeakable things to me, and then he forgot about everything and now he isn’t even ready to listen to me...Wu..wu."
"Hey! I am sorry! Please don’t cry, okay? I will...I will do all the things that you will ask me to. Just...just don’t cry!" Qiao Jun requested.
"You will?" Yu Holea acted as if she was wiping away her tears.
"Hm! Yes! So can you stop crying now?" Qiao Jun didn’t even realize that his voice had turned soft unconsciously.
Yu Holea paused and her heart ached slightly.
A tear slipped out of her eyes, but she quickly wiped it.
It’s funny how people call eyes the mirror of the heart when all it does is betray the heart...
A hint of heartache appeared in Qiao Jun’s eyes.
Why was she sad so suddenly?
He unconsciously lifted his hand, but withdrew them, when Yu Holea turned around.
"So you will do as I say, right?" Yu Holea asked with her back facing Qiao Jun.
"Hm."
"Oh, right I remember something very important, I will come back in a few minutes."
"Sure."
...............
Yu Holea walked out of the hospital room. The smile on her face slowly vanished.
’Come on Holea! You can’t be sad! Cheer up!’
Just as she managed to cheer herself, a loud commotion attracted her attention,
"Hey! What is this Jinx doing here? Can’t she f*ck off?" A young woman who looked as if she was in her mid-twenties and had black hair, shouted.
She was shouting on a young woman with cotton candy color hair.
Yu Holea frowned as she looked at the young woman with cotton candy hair.
The face of the young woman clearly showed she was destined to be rich. On the other hand, the young woman who had black hair was destined to be poor, however... their luck seemed to have swapped.
The young woman with cotton candy color hair lowered her,
"I am sorry."
"You should be. Now get out! And don’t come here ever again!"
The young woman with cotton candy color hair nodded and turned to leave. However, she misstepped and fell.
"Ah...Wu Ainan you are truly a jinx!"
Wu Ainan wiped her tears.
She wasn’t able to understand why things had changed so much.
The young woman in front of her was her ex-best friend, Min Jiao.
Just 3 months ago, she had everything, a loving boyfriend, a happy and healthy family, and a good business.
Her ex-best friend Min Jiao on the other hand was riddled with various problems.
Feeling pity for her, Wu Ainan always helped her out.
However, 3 months ago, Min Jiao’s condition suddenly changed. She was declared the heir of the famous Min Family of the capital, got a rich boyfriend and the Min family loved her to bits....
She on the other hand... lost everything. Her boyfriend had an accident and went into a coma. Her family members started falling sick one by one. Even her business went downhill.
Min Jiao pitied her for a few weeks and helped her out, but later she(Min Jiao) started to call her(Wu Ainan) jinx.
Slowly Min Jiao completely changed and became disdainful of her. She directly broke off their friendship and asked her to never show her face.
Wu Ainan’s eyes were filled with tears. She tried to stand up, however she fell again.
For a moment she was filled with bitterness.
Why was the god so cruel to her suddenly?
Was she truly a jinx?
Otherwise, why did her family and friends start to suffer so much?
Suddenly, a white-skinned-toned hand reached out to Wu Ainan, offering her help.
Wu Ainan looked up to see a beautiful woman with an elegant demeanor and warm eyes. It was Yu Holea.
"Are you okay?" Yu Holea asked softly, her voice gentle.
Wu Ainan hesitated for a moment, surprised by the stranger’s kindness, before taking Yu Holea’s hand and allowing her to help her up.
"Thank you," Wu Ainan whispered, wiping away the last of her tears.
Yu Holea’s eyes narrowed and suddenly she pulled off the necklace in Wu Ainan’s neck.
"What are you doing?" Before Wu Ainan could react, Min Jiao shouted in a panicked voice.
Wu Ainan was stunned by Yu Holea’s actions too, but she was unable to understand, why Min Jiao was so angry.
Yu Holea ignored Min Jiao and asked with interest,
"Where did you get this necklace?"
"My ex-best friend gave it to me." Wu Ainan blurted out.
"Do you know it is cursed?" Yu Holea asked.
"Shut up! What nonsense are you saying!" MIn Jiao shouted with anger.
"Cursed?" Wu Ainan echoed in a trembling voice. "What do you mean?"
Min Jiao stepped forward, her face flushed with anger.
"Don’t listen to her, Ainan! She’s trying to scare you with nonsense! Give me back that necklace right now!"
But Yu Holea didn’t budge. Instead, she turned the necklace over in her hands, studying it carefully.
"I’m not saying this lightly, Miss Wu. There are ashes of a resentful person inside this necklace."
Wu Ainan’s face turned pale as she heard Yu Holea’s words.
"Ashes... of a resentful person?" she whispered, horror dawning in her eyes.
Min Jiao’s expression twisted into one of panic and fury. "You’re lying! You’re just trying to scare her! Give me that necklace now!"
Yu Holea easily dodged her and opened the necklace, a cold gust of wind swept through the corridor, causing the air to feel thick with an eerie presence.
Wu Ainan and Min Jiao both froze, eyes wide with fear and disbelief.
A faint, dark mist began to seep out from the now-open pendant, swirling ominously before dissipating into the air.
The temperature around them dropped noticeably, and the lights in the hallway flickered briefly, casting long, unsettling shadows.
"What... what is that?" Wu Ainan stammered, her voice trembling as she clutched her arms, trying to shield herself from the cold.
Yu Holea’s expression remained calm, though her eyes were sharp as she studied the dissipating mist.
"It’s the lingering resentment," she explained, her voice steady.
"The ashes in this necklace are from someone who died with a deep grudge. That grudge has been fueling the misfortune in your life, Wu Ainan."
Min Jiao, now visibly shaken, backed away, her face pale.
"No... no, this can’t be real. You’re just trying to manipulate her! I didn’t know anything about this!"
