Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All -
Chapter 516: Hypnotizing
Chapter 516: Chapter 516: Hypnotizing
Yu Holea’s tears were like a sharp knife in the hearts of the Qiao family. Especially when they saw how she tried to bury her face in Qiao Jun’s arms but didn’t dare to go close to him for fear that she would make him feel disgusted.
Mrs. Qiao directly scolded her son, "Why are you sitting there like a Buddha? Say something! Console her! Or hug her tightly! Useless human!"
She wished she could tear open his brain, find the memory he had lost, and place it back in its position.
How she imagined that once his son woke up, she would have a daughter-in-law! She imagined a warm reunion, followed by a long speech and a kiss...Cough...cough! A caring hug!
But this b*stard forgot his memory! Stupid! Who was the teacher who praised him as a genius for having a photographic memory? Look, he can’t even remember his memories after sleeping for 3 years!
Qiao Jun: "..." How come my mother has become so...hard-hearted?
Qiao Zirui frowned when he saw that Qiao Jun was not hugging Yu Holea back and rolled his eyes,
"Brother if you are not planning to hug Sister Lea, let me console her. Don’t act so pretentiously!"
"Me too! I can console her too!" Qiao Zifei said.
Qiao Jun frowned and subconsciously said,
"Dream on."
Yu Holea paused, the pain in her chest subsided a little and she pulled away from Qiao Jun.
Though Qiao Jun didn’t push her away, he didn’t hug her...
This shows he truly forgot his memories.
Qiao Zifei went forward and hugged Yu Holea’s waist,
"Sister Lea, do you want a shoulder to cry on? Come on! Lean on me!"
"I have shoulder too!" Qiao Zirui hurriedly walked up to Yu Holea.
Qiao Li gritted her teeth,
"Brats! Your sister Lea is my best friend first your Sister Lea later! Even if she wants a shoulder to cry on, she would use my shoulder!"
Aunt Mila frowned when she heard the sarcastic words toward her and the caring words toward Yu Holea.
"I didn’t know...that an outsider could become so close to my family...I wonder what magic has she used."
Her words were said neither loudly nor softly, just enough for everyone in the room to hear.
The atmosphere, which had been slowly warming, suddenly grew tense again.
Yu Holea’s eyes narrowed slightly as she heard Aunt Mila’s words, but she didn’t react outwardly.
Instead, she said calmly,
"Outsiders are those who visit my family only for few times, and don’t have much relation with my family and yet act as if they are close to us."
Aunt Mila smiled instead of getting angry,
"At least I have some blood relations."
"Oh? Does it matter? Blood relatives are sometimes more like vampires...." who love to suck blood.
Yu Holea didn’t finish her words but all the people present understood her words.
Aunt Mila chuckled but the smile didn’t reach her eyes. "My, my, such sharp words for someone who isn’t even officially part of the family yet. I wonder what will happen when you are."
Yu Holea didn’t flinch. Instead, she met Aunt Mila’s gaze,
"My words may be sharp for those who think it applies to them."
Aunt Mila narrowed her eyes and instead of talking with Yu Holea, she turned towards Qiao Heng and said,
"I want to talk with you and sister Qin in private."
"Whatever you want to talk about, just talk about it here, Mila," Qiao Heng said firmly, crossing his arms over his chest.
"There’s no need for secrecy among family."
Mrs. Qiao nodded in agreement, her eyes still glancing worriedly at Yu Holea
Aunt Mila’s smile wavered, but she maintained her composure.
"Very well then. I’ll be direct. Jun’er has just woken up from a three-year coma, and his memory is clearly compromised.
I don’t think it’s wise to push any relationships on him right now, especially one he can’t even remember."
Her gaze flicked to Yu Holea.
"I’m not questioning your intentions, Miss Yu, but you must understand that my concern is for my nephew’s well-being.
We can’t rush him into anything, especially when he’s so vulnerable. Not to mention...I feel she should learn some etiquettes."
Yu Holea calmly smiled.
Does Aunt Mila think everyone will listen to her words? How sad...
As expected the next second she heard Mrs. Qiao say,
"Mila, it’s better if you keep your opinion to yourself. Sometimes...it is very boring to hear your opinion. Not to mention, they are so unreasonable and illogical."
"Mila, are you even in your right mind? If words get out, people will think you are someone important in our family." Mrs. Qiao said sarcastically.
"Ah! Aunt Mila! If my brother is truly vulnerable...I think he will need my Lea even more." Qiao Li smiled.
"Aunt Mila, please be sensible. You can eat whatever you want but you can’t speak whatever you want." Qiao Zixin said with a serious expression.
Qiao Zirui and Qiao Zifei stared at Aunt Mila with hostility.
Finally, a crack appeared on Aunt Mila’s face,
"Why are you...being so hostile towards me? I was just...thinking about Jun’er’s best interests," Aunt Mila finished, her voice tinged with frustration.
She glanced around the room, realizing that the Qiao family was not on her side. "I just want what’s best for him."
Qiao Heng, who had been silent until now, finally spoke up. His voice was calm, but there was an undeniable firmness in his tone.
"Mila, we all want what’s best for Jun. But right now, what he needs most is our support, not our doubts.
Lea has been by his side through everything, and that won’t change just because he doesn’t remember her at the moment."
Mrs. Qiao stepped closer to Yu Holea, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Lea is part of this family, Mila. You need to accept that. We all do."
Yu Holea felt a surge of warmth at Mrs. Qiao’s words.
How long has it been since someone has taken her side?
She doesn’t know.
Though she would occasionally return to earth and spend a lot of time with the Qiao Family, however, due to her workload, she hardly had the time to have a heart-to-heart conversation with them...
In the goddess city, she would be left all alone, working daily, burying her pain in her heart, and occasionally gazing at the star thinking when those days would be over...
Now...seeing the fierce look on the Qiao family, Yu Holea realized...those days were over...
Finally.
Qiao Jun continued to stare at Yu Holea.
He wasn’t able to understand why Yu Holea pulled away.
Wasn’t she...his fiance? Why isn’t she hugging him?
Apparently, Qiao Jun was so lost in those thoughts that he didn’t even hear Aunt Mila’s comments.
Maybe that how insignificant Aunt Mila was to him.
Yet...
Qiao Jun held his forehead, looked in Aunt Mila’s direction, and blurted out,
"She is telling the right thing."
The entire Qiao Family and Yu Holea turned toward Qiao Jun.
Qiao Jun panicked a little when he sensed Yu Holea’s gaze and covered his mouth while shaking his head.
As if trying to tell her, that he didn’t mean to.
However, Aunt Mila didn’t give him the time to say anything more and said,
"See! I told you." She looked around the room, her confidence restored.
"Even Jun agrees with me. We shouldn’t rush him into anything right now."
The Qiao family was momentarily stunned into silence.
Slowly...the expression on the Qiao Family’s face turned black.
Mrs. Qiao directly walked up to Qiao Jun and slapped him on his arms,
"You b*stard, do you think you are some prince or what? Let me remind you, you have a sickly skin color, your muscles are gone and you don’t look handsome anymore! Yet you dare to say those words?"
Qiao Jun: "..." Was his mother calling him...thin? And she called him...ugly too?
Qiao Jun subconsciously looked at Yu Holea who was staring in his direction with a dazed look.
He suddenly panicked and said,
"What I mean is...I...I don’t want to continue with the engagement-"
Qiao Jun hurriedly covered his mouth.
His eyes eventually turned cold.
And he suddenly looked in Aunt Mila’s direction with a murderous look.
Even Yu Holea turned to look at Aunt Mila with a dark look in her eyes.
........
2 hours before.
"Are you sure he is about to wake up?" Aunt Mila looked at the black cloaked figure and asked as she shifted her gaze to Qiao Jun who was lying on the bed.
"Yes." The black-cloaked figure said calmly."Have you been hypnotizing him every month?"
"Yes." Aunt Mila said calmly. "I have programmed his mind in such a way that he will resist all the girls, young ladies, and women except..."
"I know." the black-cloaked figure replied, their voice deep and emotionless.
