Yu Mei could swear that she had never suffered in her life so much.

The slight touch from the hot tiffin box was enough to scald her. If this old woman doesn’t move away the tiffin box from her hand soon she will definitely have a burn scar on her precious hands!

"Mei? Mei, are you awake?"

Maybe god had finally listened to Yu Mei’s urgent pleas because the next moment the door to the hospital room was opened and a nurse with a displeased expression peaked inside,

"Don’t make noise! This is a hospital, not some vegetable market!"

Grandma Yu’s joy instantly vanished and she said,

"Call the doctor, say my granddaughter has woken up!"

The nurse who was displeased till now finally had a different expression, but it wasn’t a surprise, it was disgust as she said,

"I think that you should get some glasses! For the past 2 months, you have repeatedly said that your granddaughter has woken up but the reality is she hasn’t!"

Saying so the nurse casually glanced at Yu Mei but when she saw Yu Mei’s blinking eyes she knew that Grandma Yu wasn’t lying.

Without waiting for Grandma Yu she turned around and ran to call the doctor.

Grandma Yu on the other wanted to scold the nurse for being mean but she could only snort when she saw the nurse leaving.

As the nurse hurriedly left to fetch the doctor, Grandma Yu couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions flooding through her.

Relief, joy, and a hint of disbelief swept over her as she realized that her precious granddaughter, Yu Mei, was indeed awake.

Tears welled up in Grandma Yu’s eyes as she leaned over Yu Mei, her voice trembling with emotion, "Mei, my dear Mei, can you hear me?"

Yu Mei almost cried from the pain she was feeling in her hand.

A few tears dropped from her eyes.

Grandma Yu, overcome with emotion, gently wiped away Yu Mei’s tears and held her hand tightly.

"Oh, thank the heavens! You’re finally awake, my dear. I was so worried about you," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion.

Yu Mei tried to signal Grandma Yu to move away from the tiffin box.

Grandma Yu finally felt that something was wrong and asked,

"What happened Mei’er?"

Yu Mei looked at her, blinked, and then looked at the tiffin. Grandma Yu followed her line of sight and when she saw the hot steel tiffin box that was scaling Yu Mei, she jumped and apologized, before quickly moving away from the tiffin box.

Yu Mei heaved a sigh of relief.

If this f*cking old woman didn’t understand her signal even after seeing it, then she would have controlled this old woman and forced her to jump into a volcano.

Looking at the red skin, Grandma Yu felt guilty and instantly said,

"Mei’er don’t worry! I will apply some cooling cream once the doctor finishes examining you."

Yu Mei blinked but said nothing.

In her heart, she was thinking of letting Grandma Yu feel the same pain.

Soon the doctor arrived and started checking Yu Mei. When they finished the examination, the doctor concluded,

"Yu Mei’s condition seems stable now, but she’ll need some time to recover fully. Make sure to keep her comfortable and monitor her closely."

Grandma Yu nodded eagerly, her eyes were filled with caution as she asked,

"Why isn’t she speaking?"

"As I have said, it will take time for her to fully recover."

Grandma Yu could only nod. Once the doctor left, Grandma Yu chatted with Yu Mei as she took out a cooling cream.

"Mei’er how did you get in an accident? Do you know how worried I was?"

Yu Mei wanted to ask about the Yu Family when she heard Grandma Yu say,

"Mei’er from now on you will live with me! And I will take care of you!"

Grandma Yu continued to chatter.

Until the next day, Yu Mei had to listen to Grandma Yu’s chattering.

Finally, when she got her voice back, the first thing she asked was,

"Where are brothers? And mom too!"

Grandma Yu stiffened and slowly anger appeared on her face,

"Don’t talk about those ungrateful people! They are scummy people! They left you the moment you were declared as a comatose person."

She took deep breaths and tried to fully recover. On the fifth day, Yu Mei recovered completely and started to pester the Yu brothers and Mrs. Yu to come and meet her.

At first, she acted angry and scolded them in an aggrieved voice saying that they were too mean and they were ignoring her just because Yu Holea threw dirty water on her

When they still did not agree to meet her, she changed her tactics and acted all sad and lonely saying that they had started to favor Yu Holea more than her.

However, even then the Yu Brothers and Mrs. Yu didn’t agree to visit her.

Yu Mei wanted to leave the hospital but her legs had not recovered completely and the doctor already warned her, that if she left this time, her legs may have some side effects

Yu Holea was not the one who helped the Yu Family.

The Yu family might have come out of the control on their own.

Maybe she had not noticed it earlier but now that she was focusing on various events that had happened, she realized that the control may have weakened over a period of time and it completely broke when she went into a coma.

The reason why the Yu Family might have stayed away from her is because they had somewhat understood that she was controlling them.

Yu Mei broke into a sweat when she thought about how they might know their reality.

After calming herself down, Yu Mei made a plan and started to threaten the Yu Family saying that she would commit suicide if they didn’t meet her.

They might not care about her, but they still care about their reputation, right?
