He wished she could disappear from his sight.

Maybe the god really listened to his prayers because soon they parted ways as the Shi family shifted and Mr. Shi lived a peaceful life.

Mr. Shi instantly felt his heart beating out loud after looking at her once.

Mr. Shi hated the fact that he came into Mrs. Qiao’s life so late, otherwise, the person who would have been married to him would have been her.

After marrying, at first, Mr. Shi refused to touch her but after Rui Wang’s repeated seduction, Mr. Shi finally touched her.

That was how Shi Qin was born.

However, after Shi Qin’s birth, Mr. Shi refused to touch Rui Wang and started looking for a woman like Mrs. Qiao.

Once he found a woman like Mrs. Qiao, he started to think of divorce and even suggested it to Rui Wang.

On the other hand, Rui Wang strongly opposed it and bargained with him, by saying that Qiao Heng will personally help him manage his business if he didn’t divorce him.

At first, Mr. Shi declined but when he saw how rapidly his business was declining, he at last compromised.

He was filled with hatred toward Rui Wang, who used such a despicable method to bind him with her.

However, he was amazed by the result. Qiao Heng that scapegoat truly took care of his business.

He then started having a hate-love relationship with Rui Wang.

He didn’t want to live with her anymore but he can’t divorce her too.

Rui Wang whimpered in pain but she still kept her mouth shut.

"You b*tch! You still want to keep silent about it?"

Mr. Shi slapped Rui Wang.

Shi Qin hurriedly moved toward Mr. Shi to stop him and said,

"Dad don’t. Please don’t beat mom..."

However, before she could finish, Mr. Shi slapped her too and said,

"I am done with this b*tch yet. I will get back to you later. After all, when 2 devils are working together, how could only one of them be at fault."

Shi Qin froze when she felt the pain.

Suddenly she started laughing.

At first, her laughter was low, and then it converted into loud hysterical laughter.

Mr. Shi was irritated with the sound of her laughter while Rui Wang was looking at her daughter with concern.

"Why are you laughing you b*tch..." Saying so Mr. Shi lifted his hand to hit her, but this time Shi Qin held his hand and looked at him with hatred,

Mr. Shi’s expression turned from anger to confusion as he listened to Shi Qin’s words.

He couldn’t comprehend why his daughter was suddenly bringing up such topics amid their heated conversation.

"What nonsense are you talking about?" Mr. Shi demanded, his voice tinged with frustration.

Shi Qin’s laughter subsided, replaced by a cold, determined expression. She looked at her father with unwavering eyes.

"Because Qiao Li’s father knows all of this, while you didn’t know anything about me. Why? You are angry with my mother, right?

So why did you neglect me and not bother to learn anything about me? Why did you treat me as if I didn’t exist?" Shi Qin’s voice was filled with a mixture of pain and resentment as she confronted her father.

Mr. Shi’s eyes widened in realization as Shi Qin’s words struck him like a blow to the chest.

He had been so consumed by his desires, his own vendettas, and his tumultuous relationship with Rui Wang that he had neglected his own daughter, failing to see the pain and struggles she had endured silently.

A pang of guilt gnawed at his conscience as he looked at Shi Qin.

However, before he could reply to her, a servant came running inside with a panicked expression and said,

"Sir! Sir! The...the...hu...the mansion is on fire."

"What?" Mr. Shi was shocked.

Shi Qin and Rui Wang who were still immersed in their own misery were shocked.

"So why are you standing here? Go and pour water." Mr. Shi shouted.

"Sir even after putting water, the fire is not stopping!" The servant said with a fearful expression.

"What?" Shi Qin asked in disbelief.

Then without even looking she started running towards the exit.

At first, no one understood why she was running away but then they heard her say,

"Maybe it is a magical fire, it won’t be put out with water, run!"

Her voice faded as she left.

Servant: "..." Wasn’t she acting like a pitiful girl some minutes before?

Mr. Shi was angry at the fact that his daughter didn’t even care about her dad and her mother when she sensed the danger.

However, he knew that now wasn’t the time to fret about it and ran outside too.

Rui Wang with a swollen face followed him.

When they reached outside, they saw Shi Qin who was looking at the mansion with horror in her eyes engulfed in flames, the fire roaring voraciously, consuming everything in its path with an insatiable hunger.

The once-grand structure, a testament to Mr. Shi’s wealth and power, now stood as a blazing inferno, casting flickering shadows against the night sky.

As Mr. Shi, Rui Wang, and Shi Qin stood frozen in shock, the reality of the situation began to sink in.

"No...no!" Rui Wang muttered in disbelief.

On the other hand, Mr. Shi felt as if he would die.

The mansion which was worth half of his assets was getting burned down in front of his eyes.

"Water...pour water! You are all idiots! Pour water." Mr. Shi shouted at all the servants.

The servants eyed each other and went to fetch water.

Then a scene that Mr. Shi and Rui Wang never expected to happen appeared in front of them.

The fire didn’t die down at all! Even after using a fire extinguisher, the fire didn’t down.

"Wha...what the f*ck is happening?" Mr. Shi knelt on the ground with horror and despair in his eyes.

Just then an energetic voice sounded,

"Uncle don’t you know, why your house is on fire? Didn’t Aunty tell you?"

Shi Qin and Rui Wang stiffened while Mr. Shi looked in the direction of the voice.

Yu Holea and Qiao Li walked in front of Mr. Shi.

Mr. Shi’s eyes suddenly widened when he looked at Yu Holea but then he looked at Qiao Li and asked,

"What do you mean?"

In between his words, he kept on looking at Yu Holea.

Yu Holea found it very uncomfortable but she didn’t show it on her face.

On the other hand, Little Jun who was cultivating, suddenly opened his eyes and came out of Yu Holea’s contract space.
