Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All -
Chapter 110: Ji Hui
Chapter 110: Chapter 110: Ji Hui
Yu Mei’s intuition told her that Jiang Wei wasn’t genuinely smiling.
There was a hidden agenda behind her words and actions.
Despite her polite demeanor, Yu Mei couldn’t shake off the uneasiness in her heart,
"Miss Jiang I am sorry I didn’t entertain you properly."
Jiang Wei just smiled and said,
"I don’t think so."
Seeing Jiang Wei’s smile, Yu Mei had a bad feeling.
And sure enough, Jiang Wei said her next line,
"Miss Yu, why do I feel that even though Yu Holea said nothing wrong throughout the conversation, you keep on crying as if she was bullying you."
Then before Yu Mei could continue, Jiang Wei said,
"Now please don’t say that you are innocent, I don’t believe you..."
Yu Mei’s smile stiffened a little.
The words she was about to say were suddenly struck.
Just then, Yu Mei’s best friend, Ji Hui said,
"Miss Jiang, you are misunderstanding everything."
Ji Jia then pointed a finger at Yu Holea and said,
"This girl is not someone with a proper character. She tried to seduce her own brother, she is also a gold digger."
As Ji Hui made the shocking revelation, the atmosphere in the hall turned tense.
Gasps and whispers filled the air as the guests processed the unexpected accusation against Yu Holea.
Yu Mei’s face paled, and she looked at Ji Hui in disbelief.
"Ji Hui, what are you saying? That’s not true!" Yu Mei exclaimed, her voice tinged with panic.
However, her panic was clearly telling everyone that Ji Hui was telling the truth.
Ji Hui, however, remained unfazed and continued her accusations.
"I’m sorry, Yu Mei, but it’s the truth." Ji Hui said, her voice dripping with superiority.
Yu Holea calmly looked at Ji Hui.
How could she forget about Ji Hui?
Ji Hui is the second female lead.
In the original novel, Ji Hui always defended the female lead whenever the villain aka Yu Hole tried to throw dirty water on Yu Mei.
In the novel Ji Hui never bothered to fight with Yu Holea.
Only when Yu Holea provoked Yu Mei, then only Ji Hui used to retaliate.
Ji Hui’s character in the novel was that of an aloof cat who would attack when poked her.
But why was the scene so different?
In the original plotline, at this time, Ji Hui only showed up after this birthday incident.
Sigh!
Yu Holea was a little absent-minded and wasn’t much affected by Ji Hui’s accusation but that doesn’t mean that she won’t defend herself and hence she asked lightly,
"Do you have any proof, Miss Ji?"
Her voice was light but for some reason, it sounded a little cold too.
Ji Hui was about to nod when she realized that she doesn’t actually have proof.
She hesitated for a moment, her confident facade wavering.
"I... I don’t have concrete evidence at the moment," Ji Hui stammered, her eyes darting around the room.
The guests, who had been eagerly following the unfolding drama, started murmuring among themselves.
"Did Ji Hui just make baseless accusations?"
"It seems like she’s trying to tarnish this girl’s reputation."
Yu Holea then turned toward Yu Mei and said,
"Miss Yu, I really don’t understand which part of my speech forced you to cry but after all that you did to me, the one who should be crying definitely can’t be you."
Her sentence was quite ambiguous.
It wasn’t like Yu Holea doesn’t learn.
She understood Yu Mei’s speech pattern.
Doesn’t she always look as if she is innocent and doesn’t know anything and whatever she says is the truth because her words are always ambiguous?
Yu Mei’s face turned a little pale but her eye turned sharp.
Suddenly she said with a determined face,
"Lea you are, right. I am sorry...I just wanted to see all of us together. I was being a little too greedy..."
However this time Yu Holea didn’t let her finish and said,
"Miss Yu, if you are so greedy then why didn’t you ever try to stop them when they were kicking me out of Yu Mansion?"
Her fingers were pointing to Yu Brother whose face turned black.
"Huh? What does she mean?"
"Looks like this Yu Mei isn’t simple as she looks"
"Yeah! For some reason, I am feeling as if this girl is related to the Yu Family, not like being a distant relative and all..."
Yu Sile heard this conversation and said,
"Holea what are you saying? You..."
However Yu Holea just lightly asked,
"Do I know you?"
Yu Sile was so angry that he roared,
"You don’t know me? I am your broth..."
However seeing a meaningful smile on Yu Holea’s face, Yu Sile shut his mouth.
He understood Yu Holea’s meaning.
They have already given her a severance letter...so logically speaking they indeed should be strangers.
Yu Sicong and Yu Shuchang too shut their mouth because of this reason.
Yu Mei clenched her fist.
If things go on like this then...
Suddenly Ji Hui’s voice sounded,
"Hoela, if I remember, today is your birthday, right?"
Yu Holea just looked at Ji Hui.
However, Ji Hui continued as if she doesn’t really expect an answer from Yu Holea,
"But strangely, instead of celebrating, here you are attending someone else’s birthday party."
Ji Hui said all of this to make Yu Holea suffer but what she didn’t know was Yu Mei was going to suffer too if she continued...
"How sad Holea!"
Her words were a little painful for Yu Holea but it was more painful for Yu Sicong, Yu Shuchang, and Yu Sile.
Yu Mei hurriedly said to Ji Hui,
"Hui, stop it !"
However, Ji Hui felt that Yu Mei was afraid of Yu Holea.
Ji Hui was aware of the relationship between Yu Holea and Yu Mei but she still sided with Yu Mie because according to her Yu Mei was gentle and kind.
Hence she was instantly angered when she saw how Yu Holea was so cold to Yu Mei,
"Holea I heard that you originally were switched at birth and your original parents came to acknowledge you but then they saw dirty you are and hence they kicked you out..."
"Shut Up !"
It was Yu Sicong who said this.
He was feeling as if his heart was being pricked.
Ji Hui’s words reminded him how cruel they were toward Yu Holea.
She also reminded them, that even though they claimed that they will take care of Yu Holea but they still kicked her out.
Yu Sicong doesn’t remember any moment where he talked with Yu Holea politely or ever gifted her something.
He still remembered that when he found out Yu Mei wasn’t his sister, he was instantly worried about his biological sister’s whereabouts.
He spent many sleepless nights in worry.
And when he finally found his sister, he was a little sad hearing that his sister who was destined to be a princess became a ordinary illiterate village girl.
He swore that he will treat her the best.
Their first meeting was perfect, however, from that meeting, everything started going downhill.
He started despising her, and whenever she asked for anything, he felt irritated and tagged her as a gold digger...
Why?
Yu Sicong tried to remember of things that Yu Holea ever asked for.
Few sets of clothes, two pieces of jewelry, and some monthly allowance.
Doesn’t Yu Mei have this too?
So why can’t Yu Holea have it?
Come to think of it, the reason why Yu Holea asked for clothes in the first place is because instead of buying new clothes Yu Mei had given her old clothes to Yu Holea.
The reason Yu Holea asked for jewelry pieces is because Yu Mei showed her the gifts which they have given Yu Mei on her previous 15 birthdays.
As for the monthly allowance, even though they gave Yu Holea a black card but she never did any transactions from it and instead ask for money which could possibly mean...
That she doesn’t know the card’s existence or she just wants to experience how it feels to be dotted on.
The more Yu Sicong thought the more his thoughts became clear.
The fog in his mind seemed to clear a bit.
A slight pain appeared in his mind.
And at the same time, Yu Mei’s face turned pale, she suddenly turned and looked at Yu Sicong with a vicious look.
Yu Holea just happen to look at Yu Mei and her eyes suddenly frowned.
Yu Mei’s eyes...
Currently, Yu Mei’s eyes were looking as if she was not normal...
It wasn’t like a possession nor like a superpower.
So what it was...
Yu Holea saw the viciousness in Yu Mei’s and her heart shuddered.
She followed the direction and saw that Yu Mei was looking at Yu Sicong.
Yu Holea’s heart started beating rapidly.
She felt as if something wrong was going to happen to Yu Sicong...
However before she could say anything Yu Mei’s expression returned to normal.
