Chapter 225: A walk?

The garden was quiet and the faint scent of blooming flowers hung in the air, as the gentle rustle of leaves filled the silence between the two young women.

Eira stood with her hands clasped loosely in front of her as she looked at Dhayun with a polite smile.

Dhayun, a little stiff at first, followed her gaze around the garden before meeting her eyes.

"So..." Eira began in a calm voice "I’m Eira. Brandon’s girlfriend. We have met each other before when Brandon joined the Academy."

As she said, she looked at Dhayun carefully, trying to read her reaction.

Dhayun blinked, momentarily caught off guard. "Ah... girlfriend..." she repeated softly and her lips parted slightly as if she didn’t know how else to respond.

Eira nodded gently, "Yes. He told me about you. You’re his childhood friend and someone very important to him."

For a brief moment, Dhayun’s gaze trembled and yesterday’s night scenes flashed vividly in her mind.

Her cheeks heated up almost instantly and a soft pink color rose beneath her skin.

She quickly lowered her gaze, trying to hide the blush that betrayed her "...Yes. We... we were childhood friends."

Eira tilted her head slightly, noticing the faint blush but chose not to comment on it.

She simply smiled again, softer this time "I see. I’m glad he has someone like you from his past. It must be comforting for him."

Dhayun nodded slowly, still feeling the warmth creeping up her neck. "...Yeah,"

Eira clasped her hands behind her back and looked toward the house "I hope we can get along,"

Dhayun forced a small smile, pushing her thoughts aside. "...Me too."

---

The dining room was quiet and the faint light of morning filtered through the tall windows.

Brandon sat at the center of the table, and Eira was pressed gently against his side, her head resting lightly on his shoulder.

With a soft smile, she lifted a spoonful of food and held it to his lips.

"Here," she murmured sweetly.

Brandon chuckled faintly and accepted the bite.

As he chewed, Eira leaned closer and planted a small, affectionate kiss on his cheek.

Across the table, Elize’s lips twitched slightly in frustration as she took a slow sip of tea. ’If only I could hold him like that in front of everyone...’

Because of the nature of their forbidden relationship, she can’t even love him openly.

In everyone’s eyes. Eira is his only girlfriend.

Ravene wasn’t much better.

*clank* She stabbed her fork into her plate a bit harder than necessary and her eyes flickered toward Eira.

She wanted to make a comment but held herself back.

Instead, she lowered her gaze and continued eating silently ’Showing off so openly... tch. See what I am doing later on.’

Dhayun, seated slightly further down the table, kept her head lowered as well.

She pushed her food around with her fork without much appetite.

Every time she looked at Eira feeding him or kissing him. made Dhayun’s chest feel tight.

She kept her lips pressed together, biting back the strange mix of feelings bubbling up.

Meanwhile, Naevora and Yverine exchanged a subtle glance.

They didn’t say anything and simply returned to their plates.

It wasn’t their place to involve themselves in this silent tension.

So the room stayed wordless.

Eira could feel the weight of the silent stares from Elize and Ravene.

Instead of faltering, she smiled faintly.

Her fingers gently brushed Brandon’s hand under the table, and she turned slightly toward him.

Then, right in front of their eyes, she leaned in closer.

Brandon turned his head slightly in surprise, but before he could speak, her soft lips pressed against his cheek in a sweet kiss kiss that made him chuckle quietly.

"Eira..."

"Mm?" she tilted her head innocently, as if she hadn’t just done it purposefully.

Across the table, Ravene’s fork froze mid-cut and her lips pressed into a thin line.

She took a slow breath, forcing herself to continue eating.

Elize, on the other hand, kept her elegant composure.

But the faintest twitch of her brow betrayed her inner thoughts and she raised her teacup to her lips, hiding the flicker of irritation.

Dhayun’s shoulders stiffened, and she glanced down at her plate, pretending to be too focused on her food to notice.

But her ears were slightly pink.

---

Soon, after finishing the breakfast, Naevora and Yverine quickly left.

"Hmm..." Humming under her breath, Eira walked upstairs but as soon as she reached there, she was dumbfounded to see Elize and Ravene standing in front of her, glaring down at her.

"A-Aunt Elize... Sister Ravene... Hi, the food was great." Eira murmured and tried to smile politely.

Neither of them replied immediately. They just stared at her.

Elize crossed her arms before speaking "At the dinner table..."

She tilted her head slightly as her blonde hair slipped from her shoulder. "...were you showing off on purpose?"

Eira blinked "Uh... w-well... that’s..."

She rubbed the back of her neck, laughing nervously. "I... just wanted to take care of Brandon, that’s all, I didn’t-"

Ravene pushed herself off the wall and stepped closer.

She leaned in slightly "Mm. Really? Just taking care of him? Because from where we were sitting, it looked a lot like you were making a point."

Eira’s mouth opened, then closed and she took a tiny step back. "N-No, I wasn’t trying to-"

"Feeding him every bite. Kissing his cheek in front of everyone," Ravene listed it one by one.

"And all while glancing at us to see if we were watching. How bold of you."

Eira’s face heated up instantly "T-That’s... that’s not what I..."

She bit her lip, realizing there was no way to justify it without sounding guilty.

Elize sighed softly, shaking her head as though she were disappointed "You’re still young. I understand you want to claim your place, but..."

She stepped forward until she was standing right in front of Eira "...you forgot something very important."

Eira blinked up at her nervously "...W-What?"

"That Brandon doesn’t belong to only you,"

Before Eira could respond, Ravene’s fingers brushed lightly against her chin, tilting her face up so their eyes could meet.

"And when you forget that..." Ravene whispered, "...we have to remind you."

Eira stiffened "R-Remind me...?"

With a soft nod, Ravene replied "Yes. You need a punishment, dear."

Eira blinked rapidly "P-Punishment?!"

Elize stepped to Ravene’s side, tilting her head slightly as she looked at the younger girl "Yes. You’ll make it up to us."

Eira’s shoulders slumped a little as she fidgeted with her fingers "H-How... exactly?"

Ravene shrugged "Simple. You’re going downstairs right now, and you’re going to call Dhayun. Then..."

"...you’re going to invite her on a nice, long walk through the city. The two of you will spend the entire morning... no, let’s say until afternoon- together. Outside."

Eira stared blankly."...Wait. What?"

Elize nodded once, sealing the order "You heard her. While you’re outside keeping Dhayun company... Brandon will be here. With us."

Eira’s mouth opened in protest. "But... but that means-"

"Yes." Ravene grinned, clearly enjoying the look on her face. "We’ll have all the time we want with him while you’re gone. Fair, isn’t it?"

Eira’s expression went flat. "-__-"

Elize raised an eyebrow "Do you have a problem with it?"

"...No..."

"Good girl," Ravene said sweetly, reaching out to gently pat her cheek. "Now, go on. Be nice and fulfill your punishment."

Eira let out the longest, most defeated sigh of her life and her shoulders slumped as she turned toward the stairs "...Fine..." she muttered under her breath.

---

Eira descended the stairs slowly, her fingers brushing lightly along the railing as she composed her expression ’Deep breaths, Eira. Just act natural. It’s just a "punishment." No big deal.’

As she reached the living room, she spotted Brandon sitting comfortably on the couch.

Dhayun was beside him with the two of them talking quietly and chuckling about something.

"Ah..." Eira let out a gentle hum, catching their attention. "You two seem to be enjoying yourselves."

Brandon glanced up with a soft smile "Eira, done talking upstairs?"

"Mm, yes," she replied lightly, forcing a casual tone.

Her eyes flicked to Dhayun, who straightened slightly, looking a bit reserved but still offering a polite nod.

Eira stepped closer, "Dhayun... Can I talk to you for a second?"

Dhayun blinked in surprise "Uh... sure?"

Eira clasped her hands together gently, "You know... since you’re such an important person to Brandon and I feel like we should get to know each other better."

"Get to know... each other?" Dhayun asked in a hesitant tone.

"Yes," Eira said softly.

"I mean, you’re someone who’s been by his side for so long. I don’t want us to feel like strangers. We should..." she paused, letting her eyes soften as she leaned a little closer,

"...we should be like sisters, don’t you think?"

Dhayun’s eyes widened slightly at the suggestion ’Sisters?’

"Y-Yes," Dhayun muttered, lowering her gaze briefly. "We... we are childhood friends, after all."

Eira’s smile brightened slightly, as if satisfied with the response. "Great! Then... why don’t we take a little walk together? Just the two of us."

Dhayun blinked "A... walk?"

"Yes," Eira nodded enthusiastically, though internally she was sighing at how obvious the setup was.

"Across the city. Maybe grab some tea, talk a little... you know, really bond as people who both care for Brandon. I think it would be nice."

Brandon glanced between them curiously "That sounds... good? Dhayun, would you like to?"

Dhayun hesitated for a moment, looking at Brandon, then back at Eira.

The other girl’s soft smile looked genuine, but there was something beneath it.

After a pause, she finally nodded. "...Sure. Why not?"

"Perfect." Eira’s tone was gentle, but inside she was mentally groaning.

She turned to Brandon with a small smile "We’ll be back around noon, okay? Take care of yourself while we’re out."

Brandon gave a little nod "Alright. Be careful out there."

Eira then looked at Dhayun "Shall we?"

"...Mm." Dhayun stood, smoothing out her clothes and followed Eira toward the door.

As they stepped outside together, Dhayun couldn’t shake the slight unease in her chest, while Eira silently braced herself for an awkward morning ahead.

’I know they are going to have sex... Those two perverts.’
