Chapter 1531: Well-intentioned

"Connor, don't forget that this is our Bander family!"

Palmer shouted loudly.

At that moment, Eugenia, Eria, Deryn, and others rushed into the room upon hearing Palmer's words.

"Connor, it seems like you're tired of living. Let go of my father now!" Deryn shouted with excitement upon witnessing the scene.

Connor paid no attention to Deryn, his expression unchanged, as he asked Palmer, "Where is Yelena?"

"I won't tell you. You won't leave the Bander family today!" Palmer gritted his teeth and replied.

Outside the room, Eugenia shouted, "Someone, help! Quickly!"

"Enough, no need to shout. Your Bander family's subordinates are already defeated. No one can save you now..." Deryn's words were cut short as an elegantly shaped woman entered the room.

This woman was none other than Waverly.

Following behind her were disciples of the Purple Cloud Sect.

In fact, before Connor entered the Bander family estate, he had sensed the ambush. He had instructed Waverly and her team to neutralize the threat.

Now, the Bander family estate was firmly under his control.

"Who are you people?" Deryn's expression turned shocked upon seeing Waverly.

"It doesn't matter who we are," Waverly replied calmly.

Connor continued to grip Palmer's neck tightly. His voice cold, he asked, "Where is Yelena?"

"Connor, even if you kill me today, I won't tell you!" Palmer knew very well that Yelena was his last trump card. Without Yelena, Palmer's fate would be sealed.

Connor's grip on Palmer tightened as he heard these words. Palmer clenched his teeth and continued, "Connor, even if you kill me today, you'll never see that woman again…"

Connor's expression showed a hint of surprise upon hearing Palmer's words.

Waverly approached Connor and said softly, "Mr. Connor, let me handle this. I assure you he'll speak the truth."

Connor glanced at her and said calmly, "Very well, I'll leave it to you."

With that, he released his grip on Palmer's neck.

She led Palmer into another room.

"What do you intend to do with my father?" Deryn's expression turned anxious as he saw Waverly taking Palmer away.

"Smack!"

A disciple of the Purple Cloud Sect slapped Deryn across the face. With an emotionless expression, the disciple said, "You better behave..."

"You dare to hit me?" His eyes widened in disbelief. No one had ever dared to lay a hand on him before.

"Smack!"

The Purple Cloud Sect disciple didn't show any mercy and slapped him again.

"I'll fight you..." Deryn, after being slapped twice, seemed to lose his composure, charging at the Purple Cloud Sect disciple as if he had gone mad.

However, Erin intervened and stopped Deryn, coldly reprimanding him, "Deryn, can't you calm down? Don't you see the situation we're in?"

He hesitated for a moment upon hearing Erin's words. He took a deep breath and looked at the disciples of the Purple Cloud Sect, refraining from taking any further action.

"Ah..."

Just then, a series of agonized screams echoed from the other room. Everyone turned their heads toward the source of the sound.

"Please, don't come near me, I beg you..."

Following that, Palmer's pitiful cries filled the air.

"Ah..."

More screams followed.

Upon hearing Palmer's cries, Deryn and Erin wore grim expressions. They knew they were powerless in this situation.

After about ten minutes, Waverly emerged from the room, dragging Palmer with her. He looked utterly defeated and unrecognizable, a far cry from his former self.

"Mr. Connor, he's cooperative now. Feel free to ask whatever you need," Waverly said softly to Connor.

"Good," Connor nodded slightly and then walked up to him.

"Don't torture me any further. I'll tell you everything. Please, just don't torture me anymore..." Palmer pleaded desperately, his mental state severely compromised.

"Where is Yelena?" Connor's voice was stern.

"Yelena is with Jenna," Palmer replied hastily.

"Where is Jenna?" Connor inquired.

"Jenna is at the Lester family villa," Palmer answered promptly.

"Did you kidnap Yelena at Yaakov's behest?" Connor pressed on.

Palmer's voice quivered as he admitted, "Yes, it was Yaakov who ordered me to do everything. He manipulated me. Without him, I wouldn't have kidnapped Yelena..."

"How did Wadi die?" Connor asked again.

"Wadi was killed by Wesley. I anticipated that you might defeat Wadi, so I had Wesley kill him and frame you..." Palmer's resolve had crumbled entirely.

Connor's cold laughter resonated through the room. "Yaakov, you truly schemed with dedication. Your intentions to harm me run deep."

As the interrogation progressed, Palmer's secrets were laid bare, exposing the manipulations and deceit that had plagued Connor's path. Waverly, an instrument of justice, had unveiled the truth. Now, with the information he needed, Connor's focus shifted to rescuing Yelena from Jenna's clutches.

"Connor, you must rescue Yelena as soon as possible," Waverly said, her eyes filled with determination.

Connor nodded, his resolve hardened. "I won't let anyone harm her. Let's go, Waverly."

"Master, be careful. The Lester family villa may have traps," Waverly warned.

Connor nodded again, and the two of them left the Bai family estate, determined to rescue Yelena and bring an end to this twisted plot.
