Getting $10 Trillion Out Of Nowhere
Chapter 1439: Brothers Forever

Chapter 1439: Brothers Forever

After leaving Jorge's place, Connor called Freya.

However, she didn't answer the call, probably because she was in a meeting.

Connor understood that his identity had brought significant pressure to Freya. This was also why she hoped to manage her company without relying on his connections. So, he didn't want to disturb her.

After some thought, he decided to call Dominic.

Connor didn't have many friends in Porthampton, and the only ones he could think of were Dominic and his friend with Spencer.

"Dom, what are you up to?"

Connor asked cheerfully after he answered the call.

"What special occasion is it today that you're actually calling me?"

Dominic responded with surprise.

"Well, look at how you're saying that. Can't I call you?"

Connor playfully retorted.

"I thought you had forgotten about me and Spencer..."

Dominic said in a slightly annoyed tone.

"I've been busy lately, and I've been in Newtown all this time. That's why I haven't been in touch with you guys. What are you and Spencer up to now? Want to meet up?"

Connor said somewhat apologetically.

"We're in class..."

Dominic replied.

"Alright, I got it. I'll come to the school to see you two now!"

Connor replied casually and then hung up the phone.

After ending the call, he hailed a taxi and headed toward Porthampton University.

Considering his limited number of friends, Dominic and his friend with Spencer were among the few he could think of. He had already decided that once Dominic and Spencer graduated, he would directly arrange for them to work at Empire World Corporation. With his support, they would surely achieve great success there.

If Dominic and Spencer hadn't met him, they might still be ordinary individuals.

Half an hour later, he arrived at Porthampton University in a taxi.

Since most students were still in class, there weren't many people on the campus grounds.

He looked around at the campus scenery, reflecting on his memories. He had experienced so much at this university, many of them painful. He chuckled at how he used to consider those events so significant, realizing now how trivial they were.

Money truly had the power to change many things, including his life. If Connor hadn't inherited Steven's fortune, he might still be looked down upon as a poor nobody.

If the university's principal knew Connor had returned, he would probably personally welcome him. After all, Connor's name was well-known throughout the city.

He strolled around the campus for about ten minutes until Dominic and his friend with Spencer finished their classes.

"Connor, you remember to visit us?"

Dominic rushed up to Connor, punched his chest playfully, and exclaimed with a smile, "I thought you forgot about us!"

"How could I forget you guys?"

Connor replied with a smile.

"Are you treating us to a meal?"

Dominic asked.

"Order whatever you want, I won't hold back."

Connor said generously.

"Great, we won't be polite then. You're not short on money these days, so we'll enjoy ourselves to the fullest!"

Spencer chimed in.

"There's a new Sichuan restaurant nearby. Their food is excellent. Let's give it a try!"

Dominic suggested.

"Sure!"

Connor agreed readily.

Spencer and Dominic treated Connor just as they used to. Their attitudes toward him hadn't changed much, as if they still saw him as the same old Connor.

Dominic draped an arm around Connor's shoulder, leading him out of the campus toward the suggested restaurant.

...

Meanwhile, at Porthampton Medical University's music room.

Inside the music room, there were only two people present. One was a beautiful girl in a spaghetti strap dress, delicate and fair-skinned, with a figure that was alluring.

Beside her sat a young man in a black suit, also very handsome with an extraordinary demeanor. He wore a gentle smile and gazed at the girl with an indulgent look.

The girl was none other than Maya.

Maya placed her violin on her shoulder, took a deep breath, turned to the young man, and whispered, "I'll give you one more chance..."

"Alright..."

The young man in the suit looked somewhat embarrassed and replied in a low voice.

Maya shook her head in disappointment at his response, then began to play her violin.

After a moment, the captivating sound of music filled the room.

However, not long after, Maya stopped playing, placing her violin aside with a helpless expression.

The young man also looked awkward, unsure of what to say.

"Maya, how's your collaboration with Juno going?"

Just then, an elderly woman entered the music room with a smile and asked Maya.

In a few days, Porthampton University, Porthampton Medical University, and Porthampton Institute of Technology would hold a joint school celebration. The three schools attached great importance to this event.

Porthampton Medical University had prepared several performances, and the most important one was Maya's violin performance.

Given Maya's exceptional musical talent, she had won a first prize in a national violin competition. However, performing a solo piece might seem too one-sided. Therefore, Porthampton Medical University had planned to pair her with a pianist for a violin and piano duet, which would create a better effect.

Maya had chosen the world-renowned piece 'Melody of the Night' for her performance.

What she hadn't expected was that, even with the whole school considered, they couldn't find a suitable pianist to pair with her.
