Chapter 1395: Chelsea Lee Arrives
"Since we have no one, we can find some people to come..."
Arthur furrowed his brows and continued, "Do you have any friends?"
"Yes, but they are all ordinary people..."
Zayn replied.
"Whether they are ordinary people or not, just call your friends now. Anyone who is available and willing to come, ask them to join the opening ceremony. Even if we can't invite important guests, we need to gather enough people so that it won't be too embarrassing."
Arthur instructed Zayn.
"Alright, I'll call my friends right now..."
Zayn nodded helplessly and took out his phone to make calls.
Originally, Zayn had come today just to enjoy the spectacle, but things had turned out unexpectedly. Instead of witnessing an event, he found himself embarrassed alongside Arthur. However, since Arthur had promised to make him the general manager of the Triumph Club after its opening, he dared not offend Arthur and could only follow his orders.
Perhaps due to Blake's presence, Connor's side had become exceptionally lively. Many uninvited guests were also joining in.
For a while, Connor's side was bustling and lively.
On the other hand, Arthur's side remained incredibly quiet. Occasionally, a few young people entered and left, clearly not businessmen but merely adding to the numbers.
"Before, I was worried that we might not even have enough guests to cut the ribbon. It seems I was overly concerned," Vanessa said to Connor as she approached him.
"I still have many people who haven't arrived yet. If we include Reena, Thomas, and Kyle, I'm worried the hotel won't be able to accommodate them all!" Connor said with a smile.
"Just being able to invite these people is already satisfying for me!" Vanessa's perception of Connor had completely changed by now.
This event had also opened the eyes of Justin, Brooks, and others. They were beginning to understand what it truly meant to be wealthy. Being rich wasn't just about money; it was about the influence one held in society.
About half an hour later, Connor's side was becoming overcrowded, though more and more guests were still arriving.
Vanessa and Connor were both busy attending to their guests.
After calling almost every number in his phone, Arthur managed to round up about twenty people, all of whom were mostly there to join the crowd.
Among these twenty people, ten had come because they knew Yvette was on the other side. Without her, they probably wouldn't have come.
"Ring ring..."
At that moment, Connor's phone rang. He glanced at it and saw that it was a call from Chelsea.
"Hello?" he answered the call.
"Nephew, I am now downstairs at the club. Aren't you coming out to greet me?"
Her voice sounded playful.
"Who's your nephew?"
Connor replied helplessly and then hung up the phone directly.
Two beautiful women had arrived at the club's entrance.
One of them was wearing a black halter dress, revealing a sexy and slender figure. Her full chest was particularly eye-catching, her long legs were fair and slender, and her exquisite face was extremely alluring.
The other woman was dressed more modestly, wearing a light blue dress and white high heels. Her appearance was clean and elegant, exuding an air of nobility, resembling a beautiful lotus flower.
Two beautiful women, one mature and sexy, the other dignified and elegant, formed a striking contrast as they walked together. They were like a beautiful scenery, attracting the attention of countless men.
The two of them entered the hall chatting and laughing.
The staff quickly recognized one of the women as their former boss, Chelsea.
As for the other woman, they weren't quite sure. While they had all seen Chelsea at the previous party held by the Heavens Club, they had never seen this new woman before.
However, they could tell that the woman's background was not simple, as she appeared to be intimate with Chelsea. Clearly, she wasn't an ordinary person.
This prompted the onlookers to start whispering and speculating about the identity of the unfamiliar woman, but nobody could come up with a definite answer.
One thing was clear, though. None of the attendees had seen this woman before. Considering the crowd consisted of upper-class figures from Newtown, this suggested that the woman might not be a local resident.
Although Connor had hung up on Chelsea's call, he knew that dealing with her wouldn't be easy. He quickly went to the entrance of the hall.
"Nephew, I'm right here!"
Chelsea waved playfully at Connor.
Hearing this, Connor couldn't help but feel somewhat exasperated. He furrowed his brows and said, "I've already told you, I'm not your nephew..."
"If you're not my nephew, then whose nephew are you?"
Chelsea replied with a dismissive tone. Then, she turned to the woman beside her and said, "Yuna, this is Connor, the one I told you about!"
"Hello, Connor. I'm Yuna Winston!"
The elegant woman next to Chelsea proactively extended her hand to Connor.
"Hello, Yuna!"
"Why are you calling her by her name? You are my nephew, and she is my sister. You should call her 'auntie'..."
Chelsea seemed somewhat dissatisfied.
Hearing this, he was at a loss for words. If it weren't for her gifting the Heavens Club to him, he probably wouldn't have wanted to have anything to do with her at this point.
