Chapter 431: 252 Extreme Yin_2
The lady in red laughed, "You and I are old friends of many years; as long as it’s within my power, I’m certainly willing to help."
Fan Zhenglun chuckled with joy, "It’s not a particularly difficult request. My friend here, Guest Elder Fang, needs to find an excellent Yin Evil Land for his cultivation."
Fang Zhixing added, "I only need to occupy it for three days."
The lady in red realized and laughed, "And here I was thinking it was some major issue. This is not difficult; within the Extreme Yin Restricted Area, Yin Evil Lands are everywhere. I’ll arrange for the best one right away."
Fan Zhenglun and Fang Zhixing looked at each other, both were overjoyed.
"Many thanks, Elder Du."
Fan Zhenglun clapped his hands and sighed, "As for the expenses, I will pay double the price."
The lady in red gestured with her hand, "Where is this coming from? Your Six Void Sect’s Blazing Flame Restricted Area has a lot of Extreme Yang Lands, and the Extreme Yin Sect might have use for them too. Since we can help each other out, why talk about money?"
The two of them exchanged a smile and happily made their decision.
Fang Zhixing was very pleased; truth be told, things were going smoother than he had imagined.
It seemed that Fan Zhenglun had considerable influence.
After a bit more casual conversation, the lady in red glanced at the young boy and then instructed, "Lead Guest Elder Fang to the Extreme Yin Restricted Area."
The young boy asked, "To which Yin Evil Land?"
The lady in red replied, "Hmm, let’s go to the sixth Yin Evil Cave."
"Yes!"
The young boy accepted the command. His expression was blank, as if he were a walking corpse, giving Fang Zhixing an eerie glance before signaling him to follow.
Fang Zhixing stood up, respectfully bowed to the lady in red, and then turned to leave.
He followed the young boy out of the loft, while the young boy took a lantern in hand and, without a word, walked ahead.
The two crossed a long corridor and arrived at the back of Extreme Yin Mountain.
Extreme Yin Mountain was naturally devoid of sunlight, so the back was even darker.
They walked on a small fenced path, eerily quiet all around; so silent you could hear a pin drop.
In the distance there was no light at all, pitch black like ink.
Fang Zhixing could only follow the young boy with his head down, not knowing where they were heading.
Suddenly, the young boy halted and lifted the lantern.
Fang Zhixing looked up and a huge Mutant Beast skull appeared abruptly in front of him.
It was the skull of a massive tiger, over five meters in height, its mouth wide open, revealing a deep tunnel.
Even though the tiger had been long dead, and its remains were crafted into a gateway, Fang Zhixing could still sense the formidable aura the tiger exuded.
"Fourth Level peak Mutant Beast..."
Fang Zhixing clicked his tongue in amazement.
He had hunted Fourth Level Mutant Beasts, but he had never encountered a living Fourth Level peak Mutant Beast.
It was said that Fourth Level peak Mutant Beasts were fierce and unmatched, their strength possibly comparable to over three Martial Artists of the same rank.
The young boy only paused for a moment before taking the lantern and stepping into the tiger’s mouth.
Fang Zhixing followed him in, first entering a spacious tunnel, continuing deeper, and then turning a corner.
In just a short while!
Splash Splash~
Before Fang Zhixing even stepped out of the tunnel, he heard the sound of water, with a moist feeling now in the air.
Soon, they finally reached the end of the tunnel.
Suddenly, there was light in the world.
It wasn’t bright light; it was dim, hazy, resembling the light intensity of dusk.
Even so, with Fang Zhixing’s exceptional vision, he was able to see the surroundings within ten meters clearly.
But further away, it was still a blur, and he couldn’t see anything.
At this moment, the two were beside a great river.
Fang Zhixing twitched his nose and smelled a foul stench, coming from the river.
The water was dark and murky, exuding a bone-chilling coldness, with the tumultuous waves flowing onward.
Faintly, the sound of the water seemed like the weeping of innumerable people, heart-wrenching and soul-stirring, giving one goosebumps.
The young boy explained carefully, "We have now entered the Extreme Yin Restricted Area, this river is called ’River of Lament’."
He warned, "You’d better cover your ears, as the sound of this river’s flowing water is very strange. Listening to it for too long can easily drive a person mad."
Fang Zhixing nodded and asked, "Where to next?"
The young boy didn’t respond, but kept walking on his own, following the riverbank upstream.
After walking for less than a mile, a ferry crossing appeared ahead.
Several small boats were docked at the edge of the crossing.
The boy hopped onto one of the boats, hung the lantern on the bow, then he picked up the oar and began to row away.
The small boat drifted slowly away from the ferry crossing, rolling and wobbling on the river’s surface, tilting dangerously.
Fang Zhixing’s heart tensed slightly as he watched the boy rowing carelessly, always giving him the feeling that the boat might capsize at any moment.
Fortunately, the boy did not make a mistake and safely navigated to the opposite bank.
On the other side was a dense forest.
The trees were large and towering, with luxuriant branches and leaves.
Only, the color of the leaves was not green but gray-black.
Fang Zhixing smelled an even stronger scent of decay, nauseating.
He couldn’t help but ask, "Are there many rotting corpses nearby?"
The boy was sparing with words, giving no response whatsoever.
The two followed the rugged path, weaving endlessly through the woods.
Suddenly, Fang Zhixing glanced to the side and saw a figure not far away, holding an iron shovel, standing in front of a grave, seemingly digging into it.
Fang Zhixing’s eyes narrowed slightly; he changed his angle several times in an attempt to get a clear look at the figure’s face.
However, no matter how he shifted his gaze, the figure’s back was always facing him.
He asked, "Is that person a disciple of the Extreme Yin Sect?"
This time, the boy did speak up, shaking his head, "No, nobody knows who that guy is. We usually just call him ’the grave digger’ because he’s always digging graves."
Fang Zhixing blinked, curious, "Hasn’t anyone ever made contact with him?"
The boy indifferently said, "Those who’ve made contact with him were all buried alive by him."
Fang Zhixing was immediately at a loss for words, not understanding for a moment.
He only felt that this Extreme Yin Restricted Area was different from any other he’d encountered.
Quite like the netherworld indeed!
As they walked on, a thatched cottage surrounded by a hedge fence appeared up ahead.
Fang Zhixing was all too familiar with such thatched cottages; he had lived in such a fenced courtyard when he first arrived in this world.
The thatched cottage was pitch-black and very quiet, as if uninhabited.
Yet as Fang Zhixing and the boy approached, a light suddenly turned on inside the house.
The flickering candlelight pierced through the window.
On the window, the silhouette of a woman was revealed.
The woman had quite a figure, with two big "white rabbits" on her chest, a waist that could be encircled with one’s hands, and a graceful posture.
Such an enticing image would naturally lead anyone to let their imagination run wild, wanting to enter the house and find out.
The boy suddenly reminded him, "Do not stare at what you shouldn’t."
Fang Zhixing immediately looked away and asked, "Who is that woman in the house?"
The boy said expressionlessly, "Don’t know, she’s always lived there but no one has ever seen what she looks like."
Fang Zhixing was taken aback, surprised, "Really? Hasn’t anyone ever entered that thatched cottage to check it out?"
The boy coldly said, "Quite a few have gone in, but no one has ever come out alive."
Fang Zhixing caught his breath, feeling increasingly indescribable.
Afterward, the two turned onto a narrow path that went straight to a raised mound of earth.
Fang Zhixing took a closer look and immediately realized that the mound was clearly a grave.
The tombstone in front of the grave had fallen askew, with a lantern hanging on it.
The grave had an open gap, revealing a staircase leading downward.
The boy squatted down, reached out, and caught hold of a thin rope, shaking it a few times.
Ding ding dang~
Suddenly, a sound of bells came from deep within the grave.
"Who is it?"
A cold voice came from below the ground, like a fierce ghost screaming.
The boy spoke up, "Brother Wang, I am Du Ling, on orders from Elder Du, specially here to revoke your rights to the Number Six Yin Evil Cave."
"What?!"
The person underground became furiously angry, huhuhu, a chilling wind blew out from the staircase.
