From Villain to Cherished: Counter My Role by Pampering Kids -
Chapter 49: She Sold the Child?
Chapter 49: Chapter 49: She Sold the Child?
Little Su Yan looked at his younger brother and sister, their faces brimming with happiness, and felt a bit envious for a moment.
Ye Yixing watched the two children getting so excited over a shoddy cotton jacket and couldn’t help but say, "What’s this? I can buy you a hundred of these, and each one would be better than what you’re wearing now."
The two little ones turned to look at him.
"Uncle Ye, we have the ones Aunt bought for us, that’s enough. We can’t wear so many jackets; it would be a waste."
"Yeah, Uncle Ye, Aunt said we shouldn’t waste and should be good kids."
Ye Yixing: How is Su Xingwan teaching these kids? Money is for spending, where’s all this talk about waste?
"Uncle Ye, you have to be a good adult too."
Ye Yixing: "..."
He was actually being lectured by a child.
After Tang Muya finished her work over there, she walked over and saw a little boy who looked a lot like Little Su Luo, and smiled, "You’re Little Su Yan, right? Your aunt finally brought you back."
Little Su Yan looked up at the unfamiliar woman.
Tang Muya laughed, "I’m a friend of your aunt. You can call me Aunt Tang."
Little Su Hua walked over and whispered, "Big brother, Aunt Tang is good. She’s as nice as Aunt."
Little Su Yan remained silent.
Tang Muya noticed that his personality was quite different from the two little ones; he seemed small but had a mature air and didn’t like to talk much, so she just ruffled his hair and went on with her work.
Ye Yixing chatted with the three little ones for a while, and then he had other things to attend to, so he left.
Su Xingwan finished work early today. Before leaving, she greeted Tang Muya, "Miss Tang, do you have time tonight?"
Tang Muya replied, "Yes, I am free."
"I’d like to treat you to dinner tonight; shall we go out together later?"
Tang Muya laughed, "Alright."
Then, Su Xingwan took the three little ones home first.
Little Su Yan returned to a home he hadn’t visited in a long time and seemed a bit dazed.
It was still the same inside, but somehow it felt a bit different.
The two little ones returned and immediately showed their big brother the new jackets they had bought last time, along with the Magic Fairy Stick.
Little Su Yan looked at his younger brother wearing clothes of the same color as his sister, playing with the same Magic Fairy Stick, and couldn’t bear to look.
What kind of taste does this brother have?
Luckily they hadn’t worn them out yet.
Otherwise, they’d be laughed at by the adults.
Among these toys, the two little ones loved playing with the Magic Fairy Stick the most, dueling each time they came home, never getting tired of it.
Su Xingwan took Little Su Yan into the second bedroom and said, "From now on, you and your younger siblings will sleep here."
The two little ones, playing happily, paused when they heard Aunt’s words, "Aunt, are we not sleeping with you anymore?"
Su Xingwan smiled and said, "Hmm, you’re almost four years old, it’s time to sleep in your own bed."
Upon hearing this, the two little ones pouted, looking very unhappy.
Su Xingwan walked over and said gently, "What’s wrong? Not happy?"
Little Su Hua clung to her, "Aunt, I still want to sleep with you."
"Me too, Aunt," said Little Su Luo.
Su Xingwan pretended to say, "No, if you sleep with Aunt, where will your brother sleep?"
"Big brother can sleep with Aunt too!" Little Su Hua blinked his eyes.
Su Xingwan laughed, "A bed can’t fit four people."
Upon hearing this, the two little ones lowered their heads, "Okay then."
Su Xingwan reached over to pat their heads, then took their hands.
"Come over, let’s get you all washed up today."
Su Xingwan entered the bathroom, helped the three little ones fill the bathtub with hot water, and when she took off her coat and rolled up her sleeves, the two little ones saw a slight pink scar on Aunt’s wrist.
"Aunt, are you bleeding here?"
Su Xingwan looked down; the small scar had already scabbed over. It was from that day at the café when she accidentally knocked into something.
Little Su Yan saw what he had done last time, feeling inexplicably guilty.
The two little ones scurried over to blow on aunt’s wrist. "Aunt, does it still hurt here?"
Su Xingwan laughed, "Thank you for your concern, my little babies. It doesn’t hurt anymore."
After the two little ones finished their bath, it was Little Su Yan’s turn, and she went over to help.
Little Su Yan awkwardly stepped back, "I’ll do it myself, no need for help."
Su Xingwan laughed, "Alright, do it yourself."
Once he took off his jacket, revealing only a thin autumn shirt.
She noticed he was skinnier than she had imagined, not much better than when she first saw the two little ones upon arriving.
It seemed Little Su Yan wasn’t living well at the celebrity couple’s house either.
Su Xingwan felt grateful she had brought him home in time.
She stepped forward to check his body, but Little Su Yan saw her actions and quickly backed away, looking at her with a vigilant expression.
"What are you going to do?"
Su Xingwan realized she had scared him, so she said, "I mean no harm, just wanted to check your body."
Little Su Yan lowered his gaze, "I wasn’t beaten by them."
Su Xingwan was stunned.
To say the least, the kid was really smart.
But inexplicably, she didn’t want to see such a Little Su Yan.
She still felt that children should be childish in nature. Being overly mature loses the innocence of childhood.
Only when she grew up did she realize how lucky it was to have a childlike heart.
"Alright, go in and wash up. If you need help, remember to call for Aunt inside."
Little Su Yan didn’t say anything and walked into the bathroom.
Before long, the three little ones had all finished their baths and smelled fragrant.
Su Xingwan looked at Little Su Yan’s only cotton jacket, thinking tonight she’d go out and buy him a new one.
Even though she was deep in debt now.
But compared to when she first arrived, her financial situation was much better.
"Did everyone wash thoroughly?" Su Xingwan gently asked.
The two little ones spoke in unison, "All cleaned up! Aunt!"
Su Xingwan laughed, "Alright, later we’ll go out with Aunt Tang for dinner!"
"Great!" The two little ones were incredibly excited to hear Aunt was taking them out this time.
Little Su Yan looked at his younger siblings’ rosy cheeks.
Confused.
Was there a need to be so happy?
Since the system brought Little Su Yan back from the bad Aunt, it had gradually grown a bit confused.
Lu Group.
Xu Xiao entered the CEO’s office holding a stack of documents.
"Mr. Lu, it’s been found out. The eldest young master indeed has three children, one of whom was sold by Su Xingwan to a celebrity couple three months ago. That couple paid to cover up this part of the information when they took the child, which is why I couldn’t find out before."
Lu Yun was silent for a few seconds.
"She sold the child? Are you sure?"
He could argue about other things, but he couldn’t understand how she could sell a child when she seemed to care about them. What went wrong?
Xu Xiao kept his head down and didn’t speak.
Ever since he found out the eldest young master’s child was the same woman they had seen in the hospital before, he started paying attention.
However, she didn’t seem like someone who could do such a thing as selling a child.
