From Villain to Cherished: Counter My Role by Pampering Kids -
Chapter 40 Borrowing Money
Chapter 40: Chapter 40 Borrowing Money
The couple hurriedly drove the car to the police station.
"I’m sorry, this is the child we adopted. Look, here is our adoption certificate. Officer, we absolutely did not abduct any child."
Huang Yiliu quickly took out the documents. Luckily, they had been prepared and completed all the paperwork, or else they would have been in big trouble today because of this little menace.
After the police reviewed their documents, they checked and confirmed that the couple had not engaged in any substantial abusive behavior towards the child.
So he said, "Alright, alright. This child seems reluctant to live with you. You should consider whether to keep him."
"We understand, officer. We plan to send him back in a while."
Meng Shan continued with a smile, "Actually, this child has a bit of a problem. He likes to make trouble for us. Otherwise, my wife and I quite like him."
"There’s nothing wrong with my brain!"
Little Su Yan’s childish anger seemed to the officer to be just a child being mischievous, so he somewhat believed the couple’s words.
Fearing that he might say something else, Meng Shan quickly said, "Aunt Fang, quickly take the young master back home!"
As soon as they got home, Meng Shan, with a look of anger, grabbed his collar and threw him into the storage room.
"You stay quietly inside today. Only when you admit you were wrong can you eat!"
Initially, they were considering keeping him. Now they just wanted Su Xingwan to take him away quickly.
Even if he was smart, they couldn’t control a child who didn’t listen to them. It would just fill them with anger all day long.
They didn’t dare hit him; what if he ran away and was found out, just like what happened today?
He and his wife were public figures and were particularly cautious about such matters, fearing that one day a paparazzo might catch them with concrete evidence.
After the couple left, Aunt Fang looked at the young master and suddenly sighed.
Little Su Yan lay alone on the bed, eyes closed, appearing calm.
However, in his heart.
Damn evil aunt, I’ll fight you to the end!
Su Xingwan returned to the set, and when the two little ones saw their aunt finally come back, their eyes lit up.
They immediately ran over.
"Auntie!"
The two little ones quickly jumped into Su Xingwan’s arms and hugged her tightly.
Su Xingwan gently patted their heads and then looked at Tang Muya and said, "Did the two of them cause you any trouble here?"
"No, no."
Tang Muya laughed, "They’ve been staying quietly here since you left, very well-behaved, not even playing with the toys they usually like."
Seeing this, Su Xingwan patted their heads.
She still felt a bit guilty for not being able to bring their big brother back.
"Auntie, you’ve been out for so long this time?" Little Su Hua blinked.
Tang Muya: "It seems they are quite dependent on you."
Su Xingwan smiled a little.
"I heard Director Chen gave you a role, right?" Tang Muya continued.
Su Xingwan nodded, "Yes, got lucky."
The multiple strokes of luck came from the two little ones; otherwise, she wouldn’t have landed a role from just doing minor parts in such a short time.
Tang Muya glanced at the small camera hanging on her neck.
"You’re also working part-time as a self-media, it must be tough."
Su Xingwan gave a wry smile, "There’s no other way."
She still had to earn two million.
Talking about two million made her worry.
Where could she raise two million in just half a month!!!
She wasn’t even willing to wait a week; she just wanted to bring Little Su Yan back home to reunite with the two little ones as soon as possible.
The two little ones would definitely be very happy to see their brother back.
Su Xingwan thought about it, and now she only had one quick way to raise money.
Which was to borrow money!
Tang Muya looked at Su Xingwan’s deeply furrowed brow, which hadn’t relaxed since she left and came back.
She couldn’t help but say, "Did you encounter any difficulties?"
Su Xingwan: "Yes."
Tang Muya: "Is there anything I can help you with?"
Su Xingwan: "Short of money."
She was embarrassed to directly bring up borrowing money with Tang Muya, considering she had already helped her many times.
Tang Muya paused.
Though she didn’t know why Su Xingwan was so short on money. For these days, she managed to barely support the two little ones on her own, yet that money was just drops in the bucket for her.
"How much do you need? If you don’t mind, I can lend you some."
Su Xingwan took a deep breath, "Two million."
Tang Muya was stunned by the number.
"Su Xingwan, what are you doing? Why do you need so much money?"
Su Xingwan thought for a moment, then told her about Little Su Yan.
Tang Muya was surprised, "How could your sister give birth to triplets?"
Su Xingwan: "..."
That’s not the point!!!
Tang Muya suddenly realized, then awkwardly said, "Sorry, in our circle, triplets are really rare, so it’s inevitable to get a bit excited and thrilled, hehe."
She felt a bit embarrassed; previously, she thought the two little ones were twins, which was already rare enough since the probability of giving birth to twins is particularly low. Yet she didn’t expect she’d now be told they were triplets.
Tang Muya: "Although I can’t lend you two million at once, I can take out 500,000 and lend it to you."
Su Xingwan’s eyes immediately brightened up.
"You’re such a kind person."
Tang Muya laughed, "Who made us get along so well."
Subsequently, after receiving the money, Su Xingwan turned her gaze to Zhang Qiaoqiao, who was delivering milk tea to the actors in the crew.
All the actors, big and small, smiled and thanked Zhang Qiaoqiao after receiving her milk tea.
Zhang Qiaoqiao wore a big smile. In just a day or two, she had built good relationships with everyone.
Seeing Su Xingwan approaching, she said, "You’re here? There are still a few cups of milk tea left, feel free to take one and drink."
Su Xingwan looked at the milk tea, then turned to her and said, "Zhang Qiaoqiao, I want to ask you for a favor."
Zhang Qiaoqiao paused, looking at Su Xingwan’s serious expression, she still wasn’t used to it.
"You... what do you want? How can I help you?"
This was someone who always had a high and mighty attitude, always looking down on her. She felt something was off about Su Xingwan lowering her head and asking for help.
Su Xingwan: "I want to borrow some money from you."
Zhang Qiaoqiao paused, then laughed at her.
"Su Xingwan, unbelievable! You’re finally willing to lower your head and borrow money? I thought you’d keep being aloof."
Zhang Qiaoqiao crossed her arms, taking an arrogant posture.
"Tell me, how much do you want to borrow?"
Su Xingwan thought for a moment, "Do you have fifty thousand?"
Zhang Qiaoqiao paused, her smile froze.
"How much did you say you wanted to borrow?"
Su Xingwan: "Fifty thousand?"
Zhang Qiaoqiao was puzzled, "What do you need so much money for?"
Raising two kids doesn’t require that much money, does it?
