Chapter 206: The Emperor Appears, Desperation for All; Fantasy Authority Unlocked, I’m Invincible, Do as You Please (4)
The silver-gray armored boy tore through the battlefield, an unstoppable force in a sea of enemies.
It didn’t matter what type of goblin came his way—none stood a chance.
Whether it was spellcasting goblins, archer goblins, or green-skinned melee goblins, their attacks couldn’t even scratch his defenses.
Ice blades shattered harmlessly on his armor; fiery gusts flickered out without effect.
Arrows, before even touching him, fell uselessly to the ground.
As for the common green-skinned goblins? They couldn’t even get close.
With a single sword stroke, even the sturdiest armor turned into paper. Cutting them down was as effortless as slicing tofu.
Against such a foe, resistance was futile.
The Goblin Emperor, retreating into the horde, glared at Shia with hatred. Its sharp, raspy voice rang out, tinged with desperation.
“Attack! Kill him!”
Blood oozed from its severed arm—a strange, ghostly blue.
It hadn’t expected a mere oversight to allow this boy to injure it.
Yet, even with its countless goblin army, and despite its frustration, the Emperor’s confidence remained unshaken.
In its mind, no matter how powerful Shia appeared, he was still just one person.
Numbers would crush him. Even if it had to pile corpses high enough to bury him alive, the Emperor believed it could win.
The horde surged forward again, driven by the Emperor’s commands.
Amidst the onslaught, the Emperor’s eyes gleamed with malicious pride.
“You think you can play the hero in my empire? Fool. Prepare to pay the ultimate price.”
However, no matter how many goblins charged, none could withstand even a single strike from Shia.
One man carved mountains of corpses.
Two goblins came? Two died.
Ten goblins came? Ten died.
It didn’t matter how many—he killed them all.
Ten minutes passed.
Under the Goblin Emperor’s relentless orders, goblins continued to surge toward Shia, only to be slain in droves.
The Emperor’s face began to darken.
Twenty minutes passed.
The whirlwind of slaughter showed no signs of abating. The boy in silver-gray armor was like a perpetual motion machine—tireless and unstoppable.
Every inch of the dungeon floor was now covered in the bodies of goblins, forming a grotesque carpet of death.
Shia, holding Sistine in his arms, resembled a blood-soaked war god.
A lone guardian holding an unbreachable pass.
At this point, the Goblin Emperor could no longer conceal the terror in its heart. Its smugness evaporated entirely, replaced by dread.
Thirty minutes passed.
The area around Shia was cleared, leaving a vast, empty space amidst the sea of bodies.
“Attack! Kill him!”
The Goblin Emperor shrieked, its voice sharp and desperate.
But this time, none of its soldiers obeyed.
Even under the Emperor’s direct orders, the goblins refused to approach Shia.
He was too terrifying.
Fear coursed through their very bones as they looked at the boy clad in silver-gray armor, standing amidst the carnage.
He wasn’t just a hero—he was a sovereign lord born from blood and death, a ruler whose mere presence crushed the spirit of all who opposed him.
The slaughter radiated an aura of utter annihilation, suffocating all who dared stand before him.
Under the crushing pressure, the once-arrogant Goblin Emperor finally broke.
How could it possibly win against this? How could it fight?
When Shia’s icy gaze locked onto it, a primal chill surged through the Emperor’s body.
It felt like it was being stared down by its natural predator.
One thought filled its mind.
'Run.'
Flee to a place where it could never be found.
Consumed by fear, the Goblin Emperor abandoned its subjects without hesitation. It left behind a portion of the goblins to cover its retreat and fled the dungeon, escorted by its elite spellcasting goblins.
Shia turned to his companions, who were looking at him with teary eyes, their faces full of admiration and relief.
He gently handed Sistine over to Rong.
“Take care of her. Stay here and secure the area. I’ll handle the rest.”
He had no intention of letting the Goblin Emperor escape.
Shia knew all too well the dangers this creature would pose in six months if left alive.
Now that he had encountered it in its infancy, he would seize the chance to eliminate it once and for all.
The Goblin Emperor fled desperately, but the wails of its fallen kin echoed in its ears.
Every time it glanced back, it saw the armored figure still pursuing it, relentless as death itself.
“Stop him! Block him!”
It barked orders at the goblins it passed, but they all cowered, unmoving.
Ordinary goblins, driven only by instinct, were utterly paralyzed under the absolute suppression of Shia’s aura.
As Shia passed, they prostrated themselves on the ground, trembling and whimpering for mercy. Even their Emperor’s commands couldn’t stir them.
To the goblins, Shia was no longer a mere boy—he was an invincible deity of death.
In the shadowy depths of the forest, where light could not penetrate, the Goblin Emperor ran frantically, its grotesque face twisted in terror.
Behind it, Shia’s silhouette pursued relentlessly, never allowing it a moment of respite.
“Ah!”
Suddenly, the ground gave way beneath the Emperor, and it tumbled into one of its own traps—a pit lined with sharp spikes.
It thrashed and struggled, its body riddled with fresh wounds.
This pit had been meant for capturing adventurers, but now, it had become its own grave.
Overwhelmed by fear, the Emperor tried to climb out, its injuries barely registering in its panic.
Death loomed over it like a dark shadow.
At the edge of the pit, Shia appeared.
He stood there silently, his gaze cold and unyielding as he looked down at the Goblin Emperor.
The Emperor, stripped of its earlier arrogance, groveled in the dirt, trembling uncontrollably.
“Please! Spare me!”
“If you let me live, I will serve you. With me, you will command the entire goblin race!”
Desperation filled its voice as regret gnawed at its soul.
If only it had killed this boy earlier, before he revealed his terrifying strength.
But Shia remained unmoved, his expression indifferent as he watched the creature beg.
The Goblin Emperor clung to its last hope.
“I—I am the Goblin Emperor! The only one of my kind born in a thousand years! You cannot kill me!”
A shadow fell over it as Shia stepped closer, his armored boots thudding against the ground.
Looking up, the Emperor saw Shia’s merciless gaze—and then its other arm was severed with a single swing.
The Emperor’s scream echoed through the forest as blue blood sprayed into the air.
Now armless, its grotesque face twisted in agony and fear, the once-proud ruler was reduced to a pitiful, trembling wreck.
