Chapter 59:System Upgrade Complete
Chapter 59: 59:System Upgrade Complete
The next morning, Roland woke up feeling completely refreshed and full of energy. It was like a new spring had begun in his body and mind.
Lying beside him were Priya, Jess, and Janet, all sleeping soundly. The three were still naked and with grabbing one another, their boobs pressed bulging forward.
With the three of them finally taking charge the night before, Roland had finally enjoyed himself without frustration but seeing the voluptuous boobs piling upon one another, even now, when he looked down at his lower half and saw his "little brother" still standing proud, he laughed softly.
"Little bro... calm down. We’ll have our fun later."
He gently kissed each of his wives on the forehead and whispered a soft "Good morning." All three were too exhausted to respond; they couldn’t even move. Roland was used to this by now.
As he stepped out of bed, a sudden voice echoed in his mind surprising him.
"It’s finally over..Good Lord.."
[System upgrade is finished.]
Without waiting he immediately opened the stats screen.
.....
Status:
Name: Roland Weiss
Rank: Late 9th rank[Advanced Master Knight]
Potential: Warrior [D], Magic [Nil]
Harem Members: Janet, Priya, Leila, Murphy, Jess
Children: 11
Combined Power: 10th Rank
.......
Roland raised his brow. Combined Power? He asked the system for details.
[The Combined Power allows you to borrow the total strength of everyone in your territory. It boosts your rank and can be used once per year.]
Roland nodded slowly. It was good, but...
"Just one rank boost, even after combining everyone’s power? How weak are we?"
He let out a sigh. Right now, everything was on his shoulders. Still, he was happy about one thing that was the new storage space added to the system. Unlike the expensive storage rings with limited space, this new system storage was large and free which would grow with him.
That day, everyone noticed how happy Roland was. They praised and flattered him, but he only smiled politely.
---
Ten days later...
The advanced potion had arrived and been given to the blue-haired woman. After resting for a day, she finally opened her eyes.
Inside the serene white-walled chamber of the manor’s guest wing, the scent of incense lingered softly as sunlight filtered through thin curtains.
The blue-haired woman slowly opened her eyes, her vision adjusting to the soft light and unfamiliar surroundings. The bed beneath her was far more comfortable than any battlefield rest she’d ever known.
She sat up quickly but pain shot through her ribs, and a soft moan escaped her lips.
The attending nuns of the Church of Life quickly gathered around.
"Please, don’t move too suddenly," one said gently. "You are safe here. Lord Roland Weiss had you treated and watched over."
"...Lord Weiss?" Her voice was cold and crisp, like morning frost. She frowned and slowly leaned back as memories returned in fragments a beast tide, a desperate last stand, blood, and finally, darkness.
She was alive.
Her eyes narrowed. "Where am I?"
"This is Apus Barony, under House Weiss. You’ve been unconscious for ten days."
Just then, the door opened. A strong presence entered Roland, his footsteps confident but his aura calm and collected. The moment he stepped in, his gaze met hers sharp blue eyes locking with icy gray.
He stopped and looked at her.
She was stunning. Even recovering, her posture was poised. Her sharp, symmetrical features gave her an untouchable elegance, and her cool demeanor hinted at incredible discipline. A beauty as cold as the blade she wielded.
Roland gave a small smile. "So you’re finally awake."
The woman slowly bowed her head with restraint and dignity.
"Thank you... for saving my life, My Lord. I am in your debt."
Roland waved his hand casually and pulled a chair forward to sit by the bedside.
The attending Priest gave a bow and walked out.
"Think nothing of it. You saved my men first..it’s only right I returned the favor."
He leaned forward slightly, his voice growing curious.
"But... forgive me for asking, Lady. Who are you, and where are you from? I don’t recall hearing of a woman with your strength in the entire Kingdom of Jin."
The woman hesitated, her fingers brushing her bedsheet. There was a flicker of caution in her gaze, then she slowly pondered.
The woman then sat upright on the bed, her posture straight, her expression calm but cold. Despite the slight paleness in her cheeks from the healing process, her presence radiated quiet strength.
Roland studied her, still trying to understand just how powerful this woman really was. He kept his expression casual, but his mind was calculating every word.
After a short silence, Lana finally spoke:
"My name is Lana Virell, a combat soldier of the Vandemir Empire."
The words struck like a lightning bolt.
Empire.
The moment Roland heard that single word, he froze. Time seemed to stop.
’Emp... Empire...?!’
His heart skipped a beat as a chill ran down his spine. For a brief second, he felt like the entire room was spinning.
’Damn it... She’s from the Empire?!’
He sucked in a cold breath and cursed inwardly.
’This is bad. This is very bad. If Janet hears this, she’ll start crying. That plan to make her feel grateful and marry her? It should be dead, buried and burned.’
He rubbed his temple.
The Empire was a monster in the east, a place of myths and nightmares. Anytime soldiers from the Kingdom of Jin had met envoys or warriors from the Vandemir Empire, they had bowed and scraped like beggars, trembling in fear that they might not leave the conversation alive.
Heck, they bowed so hard they probably reached the floor with their tongues.
Roland forced a polite smile, hiding his panic behind his calm tone.
"You’re very talented, Lady Lana. To reach such a rank at your age is impressive."
Lana simply shook her head, her voice neutral.
"I’m just a soldier. To be honest... in the Empire, you need at least 10th Rank to become a proper Leader."
Roland’s breath caught in his throat.
’10th rank... as a minimum?’
’That’s enough to make someone a Duke or King in this kingdom!’
