Purple Summers was indeed very tired.

"Morning," Aria greeted, her eyes still fixed on her phone.

Purple Summers walked past her and occasionally glanced at Aria’s phone screen, which displayed a highly explicit photo.

Purple Summers halted in her tracks and asked in astonishment, "What are you looking at?"

"I joined that group," Aria said as she swiped her phone, "the one that was disbanded, Rose Date. Now it’s called love-rose. When I checked the messages this morning, there were 99 notifications. I took a look, and tsk, tsk, the group owner is planning to set up a new group to avoid being reported again."

"Watching this stuff first thing in the morning, aren’t you afraid you’ll lose your appetite?" Purple Summers commented, quite speechless.

Those heavy erotic photos were truly disgusting.

"I’ll take some screenshots as evidence," Aria chuckled. "Once your case is closed, I’m going to report all of these groups."

There were a few clicks from her phone as Aria took screenshots, then she put the phone down and resumed her breakfast.

While eating, they chatted.

"Do you really believe Black Rose is in these chat groups?" Aria asked.

"Why not?"

"The group is full of sleazy guys looking for resources. The crime expert initially profiled Black Rose as an elegant gentleman, a perfectionist with mild OCD. Do you think such an elegant gentleman would join a group like this?"

Purple Summers chewed her food slowly, pondering for a moment.

"Chat groups can be changed," Purple Summers said. "The name, the introduction, all the information can be edited at any time. Maybe Rose Date wasn’t always a group for explicit content; someone might have just wanted to change its nature."

"That’s true," Aria nodded while eating her toast. "You just need to upload some resources and advertise on adult forums, then people will flock to join the chat group. Set up new administrators, transfer the owner’s position, and have the old members leave in stages. It won’t take long before the group has a brand new look, and no one will ever know what it was used for before."

Aria marveled, "It’s really a foolproof method."

After musing, Aria frowned and muttered, "If they wanted to cover it up, why not just disband the chat group? Why go through all the trouble to transform it?"

A disbanded group cannot be restored. Even the police would find it difficult to track down a disbanded chat group’s members, files, or chat records.

"If it’s disbanded, it becomes an eternal mystery. Wherever there’s a mystery, people will persistently seek answers," Purple Summers sighed. "But if you change the entire chat group, it gives people an answer, and once they have an answer, they won’t keep digging."

The Black Rose case gets brought up every now and then.

For the killer, it’s like a sword hanging over their head. Even if the sword doesn’t necessarily fall, it still keeps them on edge.

But if Hans Geoffrey were to be convicted and made the scapegoat for Black Rose, then this case would be closed forever.

Aria contemplated for a moment, then suddenly spoke up, "Wasn’t there a policy change six months ago? The statute of limitations for criminal cases was extended from 10 years to 20 years!"

They looked at each other and saw the realization in each other’s eyes.

Purple Summers murmured, "Black Rose wants to end it once and for all."
