With that said, it flew into its Golden House and pecked out a bit of the green swallow nests for Chen Afu.

Chen Afu was overjoyed and said, "That’s great. When it wakes up, baby won’t be lonely anymore."

Jin Yanzi chirped and laughed, "That’s why I am mummy’s lucky star, and mummy is mine. Because of mummy, I have Beibei. I’ll always remember this favour."

After chatting and laughing for a while, Chen Afu left the space. She made a beeline for the West Room, where she found a medicinal pill for external injuries in a cupboard.

Xia Yue, who was on duty for the night in the east room, woke up and asked, "Grandmother, is there something you need?"

Chen Afu replied, "Nothing, get some rest."

She went into the bedroom, locked the door, and returned to the space. She instructed Jin Yanzi to chew the green leaf finely and spit it into the cracked-open medicinal pill. She also kneaded in the green swallow nests. After much effort, a divine medicine was created.

While it may not be as miraculous as the divine medicine made by Master Wu Zhi and Monk Gui Ling, this one contains green swallow nest, Swallow Chenxiang Tree Leaves, and Jin Yanzi’s saliva, so it can be considered a minor divine medicine.

She put the divine medicine into a small copper box, finally allowing herself to relax.

Their sudden appearance at the door of the side room surprised Chen Afu so much that her mouth dropped open and she stood there dumbstruck. Chu Hanyan also stood there in daze. Happiness had arrived so suddenly, it hardly seemed real.

Only the two little brothers reacted the fastest. Shrieking out loud, they stumbled towards Shiyi, each holding on to one of his legs and laughing. As their drool ran down, they merrily wiped their mouths on Shiyi’s legs.

Shiyi chuckled, ruffled the little brothers’ head, and dragged them towards the bed, saying, "So, Mum and sister are so pleased they can’t believe it?"

Li Xuan then laughed and said, "Uncle Eleven thought our sudden visit would give you all a scare, and he was right."

Chen Afu only seemed to come back to herself then, as she chuckled and dropped the clothes she was holding, pulling Shiyi close to check whether he had lost weight.

Chu Hanyan dashed over to Shiyi’s side, calling out, "Brother, oh, Your Highness."

Shiyi happily grabbed his sister’s hand, laughed, and said, "Sister, I haven’t seen you for a while, I’ve missed you so much."

The corners of the young girl’s eyes reddened a little. She cast a glance at the hand holding hers and said, "I miss you, too. The last time I visited you in the palace, I so wanted to hold your hand like before, but I didn’t dare..."

Shiyi’s smile deepened, and he whispered into her ear, "We have to maintain decorum in the palace. You can hold my hand again once we’re home."

After watching the children frolicking, Chen Afu instructed Mrs. Hua to prepare the dishes they loved to eat.

The uncle and nephew were free for the day and had planned several days ago to enjoy the day together at The Chus’ Mansion.

Xiao Zi used to serve Dabao along with Mrs. Luo and Qiu Yue. Since the rules only permitted Dabao to have two personal attendants in the palace, she and the lad, Xiao Luzi, didn’t enter with him. Xiao Zi had regrets, but on discovering Dabao’s identity, Xiao Luzi breathed a colossal sigh of relief, thankful that he wasn’t castrated.

Xiao Zi and Xiao Mo have now been assigned to serve Yu and Ming as their headmaids. Xiao Luzi was clever, working as Luo Fang’s errand boy.

Knowing that Xiao Zi and Shiyi were close, Chen Afu allowed her to specifically attend to him. She then had someone call Chu Lingzhi over without inviting Mrs. Chu, as she was busy.

As soon as Chu Lingzhi arrived, he burst into laughter and said with a bow, "Greetings, Uncle Eleven."

Shiyi blushed a little, his eyebrows frowning like a grumpy old man, "This kinship, this kinship, it’s so mixed up." He was quite unhappy. Originally, he was regarded as his mother’s son, but now suddenly he had become his mother’s father and his sister’s grandfather. It was so infuriating!

He glanced at Chu Hanyan.
