After Sanquan escorts Alu to the entrance of the Gui Courtyard, he heads back home. Alu then goes to his tutor’s room through the side corridor to give him the snacks he had bought, and finally returns to his own room.

Apart from the snacks he bought for his tutor, he also bought Dabao, Yan’er, and Li Xuan each a little wooden chicken toy.

He then changed into a semi-new long robe, and took Lan Hua with him to the main court.

In the main court, Dabao, Yan’er, Li Xuan, and the animals from the animal house were playing. After Chu Lingxuan left the Liu’s house, he directly went to the city’s outskirts for some work, planning to spend the night there.

As soon as Dabao saw his uncle, he ran up and said, "Little uncle, I told Uncle Fu, brother Liu and brother Qin that next time they invite us, they must include your name."

Alu laughed and took out the small gifts he had prepared for them. He also told Chen Afu about having fun at his uncle’s house and that he planned to visit there again on his next break.

After the kids were sent off, Chen Afu took a bath and went to bed. After dismissing the maids, she went into the space, even bringing a chair with her.
