The families of the kidnapped children wept and hugged each other, feeling increasingly frightened as they reflected on what might have happened if the children had been harmed; such a tragedy would have driven the families mad with worry.

Lu Xiaoting and Su Chenghe cooperated with the train police to record a statement.

"We really must thank Mr. Lu for his help. Without him, it would have been quite unlikely to catch these human traffickers and find the three who were drugged."
