Chapter 1786: Chapter 1347: Why Are People Capturing Us

Just now he said he didn’t move the silver coin, only occasionally asked a question while following him. Unexpectedly, in the blink of an eye, he grabbed the silver coin.

Ange scooped up everyone, a soul transfer, even taking the monarch’s avatar, leaving only the star’s true form behind.

The next moment, Ange flashed to the silver coin’s side. I must say, the soul transfer is really useful. As long as Ange’s soul can reach an area, he can instantly arrive there. If he were to fly slowly, who knows how many months it would take to return from the anchor point.

Kadiz, who had just bound the silver coin with a shadow, looked at Ange in shock, clearly not expecting him to arrive so quickly. However, his reaction was swift. In a flash, he ducked into the shadow, pulling the silver coin down with him.

Ange’s eyes narrowed, and wherever his gaze fell, it was as if sunlight had shone upon it—no shadow existed there—under the gaze of the divine light.

This move was taught to him by the Ancient Godlight. There is no sun in the Chaos Plane, yet all Prime Material Planes have sunlight. Where does this sunlight come from? It is the gaze of the Ancient Godlight.

Since coming here, Ange had never used this move again. First, because his true form was absent, and second, because this world has the sun, so there was no need for the gaze of the divine light.

Under the divine light’s gaze, the shadow of the Divine Star was completely revealed, even the ’shadow’ binding the silver coin was erased.

Kadiz looked at Ange incredulously, feeling as if he were naked on the roadside, caught by several magic searchlights.

Kadiz quickly reacted, ignoring the silver coin. He jumped aside, his entire figure transforming into a shadow, swiftly darting into another shadow. As long as there were shadows nearby, he could leap from one to another, appearing and disappearing unpredictably.

No matter how fast he jumped, he couldn’t move faster than Ange’s gaze. As soon as he landed, the shadow he occupied was once again enveloped by Ange’s gaze.

I jump, I jump, I jump jump jump...

Kadiz quickly jumped within the shadows, but no matter how quickly he leaped, Ange’s gaze consistently fell upon the shadow, revealing it in full detail.

No matter how Kadiz jumped, he couldn’t escape Ange’s gaze. He wasn’t annoyed, but someone else was. A cold voice echoed in his ear: "Jump again, and I’ll kill you."

Kadiz’s entire body stiffened, incredulously turning around to look at the Gray Divine Star. However, when his gaze fell on the Gray Divine Star, he became puzzled. After examining it several times, he furrowed his brows with uncertainty: "You are..."

If the saying goes that one can recognize someone even if they turn to ash, then the Gray Divine Star was not just ash, but transformed into another form. Kadiz couldn’t discern even a trace of the Gray Divine Star from this Star Descendant, yet the ’tone’ was very much like that of an old acquaintance.

"You say who am I? You should be the person most familiar with me. Long time no see, my shadow." The Gray Divine Star said leisurely.

If there’s anyone who should be most familiar with the Gray Divine Star, it’s undoubtedly the Shadow of the Divine Star. It originally was a projection of the Divine Star, and every contour of it was shaped by the star, so just by hearing this tone, Kadiz knew who it was.

He hesitated for a moment, seemingly deliberating whether to continue jumping. The Shadow of the Divine Star glanced at Ange and then abandoned certain actions, drifting back slowly.

"How are you here? Did you lose?" The first thing Kadiz asked after drifting back was direct, befitting the closest shadow to the divine star, hitting right on the key point.

The Gray Divine Star’s expression froze. His originally calm demeanor suddenly turned into suppressed anger: "What are you talking about!"

Kadiz responded with even more shock, finding it difficult to accept: "Really lost? How is it possible? Aren’t you a Divine Star? Although already old, why would you lose? Lost to whom? Gemez Fortress?"

The mentions of losing and aging truly hit where it hurt, rendering the Gray Divine Star unable to retort, infuriating it to the point of wanting to hit someone.

Anthony quickly held him back. Alas, these primordial beings of the Void often don’t need to communicate with others due to their overpowering strength, making others conform to their rules, termed as the Laws of the Void.

This also leads to them having no communication skills when required. The most typical example is Ange, who even needs others to translate his words, much like how the Gray Divine Star and the Monarch don’t fare much better.

Watching them communicate could frustrate Anthony to death, often not the intended meaning, but due to being too blunt, the meaning gets all twisted, making one wonder if using telepathy would be better.

"Wait, wait, Kadiz, why do you think the Gray Divine Star lost?" Anthony asked curiously.

The Gray Divine Star didn’t say much, just mentioned ’jump again and hit you’ and ’my shadow’. Why did Kadiz assume the Gray Divine Star lost?

Kadiz replied, frustrated, "Isn’t it obvious? In the void, he’s no longer the most radiant. He’s restraining his light."

While speaking, Kadiz gestured between the Gray Divine Star and Ange, causing the crowd to look at the two with suspicion.

Ange couldn’t help but look down at himself. Where is there any brightness?

Kadiz helplessly said, "It’s normal you can’t see it; you’re not sensitive to this. But I said he lost, and he didn’t refute it, he got angry—he’s become as hypocritical as intelligent beings."

That even insulted the intelligent beings present, as Negris scoffed: "Aren’t you also an intelligent being."

Kadiz responded, "I am, but he isn’t. He’s a Divine Star. He shouldn’t submit to any existence, except to brighter Divine Stars."

The Gray Divine Star’s expression darkened, lost in thought.

Oh dear, did his words have a provoking effect? Playing this trick in my presence? Not happening!

Anthony exclaimed ’angrily’: "Do you know he was imprisoned by the Star Progeny Master? Do you know? Imprisoned for hundreds of thousands of years? Do you know? Do you know how he lived through those hundreds of thousands of years? He was no longer a Divine Star then, merely a prisoner. You are his shadow; where were you then?"

Kadiz was stunned for a moment, imprisoned? "You were imprisoned by your Star Descendant? Really?"

The Gray Divine Star blushed, nodded with resentment.

"How is that possible? It’s your Star Descendant, how could it imprison you? What did it use to imprison you?" Kadiz asked incredulously.

The idea of a magnificent Divine Star being imprisoned by its own Star Descendant? Not to mention why the Star Descendant would do such a thing, first ask how it could be done.

Really knew where to hurt, repeatedly rubbing salt on the wound of the Gray Divine Star, so much so that it couldn’t recall who was the brightest star, only remembering the one who prodded its wound yet failed to rescue it.

The Gray Divine Star glared at him hatefully, saying: "Abyssal Bridge."

"Oh, it used your thing to imprison you, I see." The Shadow of God understood now.

Seeing the blame shift, Anthony quickly interjected, "Alright, whether you save the Gray Divine Star is up to you, you settle it amongst yourselves. Now tell me, why did you seize our people!"
