Chapter 1758: Chapter 1319: 3rd Stage Dragon God Transformation
Yennefer let out a sharp explosive sound, a sound Anthony had only heard from people like Lisa Auburn when they saw cockroaches or mice.
However, Yennefer’s reaction was even more intense. She screamed and slapped her ankle as if trying to slap off a little black spot. But after a few slaps, she suddenly realized this was not the correct approach. She gritted her teeth, raised her hand, and decisively chopped off everything below her ankle.
Yennefer’s actions stunned Negris and Lightning, and even made Anthony and Ursman frown. Was this virus so contagious that it caused such an extreme reaction?
"Everyone back up a bit," Anthony said through the Soul Network.
"Huh? Aren’t we supposed to be Star God’s Bodies, and shouldn’t fear things like this? Can germs really infect energy bodies?" Negris said in shock. Yet, despite his words, he moved quickly, darting several positions away in an instant.
Anthony said, "First, we need to confirm if this is a germ. Secondly, we need to determine if it can infect energy bodies. If the Deceit Tree is the Ancient Man Snake, it might have some abilities from the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms, just in case."
While everyone else backed away, Anthony didn’t retreat. Instead, he moved closer, using the Holy Light in his hand to cast over the severed foot.
The sacred light shone over the severed leg, but the black spots showed no change.
Purification, Face Purification Technique, Rebirth Technique, Spring Rain Technique, New Bud Technique... Anthony used all the healing magic he knew, including those of the Holy System and the Druid System.
The Druid’s healing magic is actually quite strong, especially those of the Elf Druid; they treat both symptoms and causes, nourishing the body from its deepest level to eradicate the disease.
The only drawback is its slow effect, not as shocking as those of the Holy System.
Unfortunately, after applying all the healing magic, the stub of the severed leg grew a bit of flesh, but the spots remained completely unchanged.
Negris said, "Could it be that treatment is ineffective after it’s cut off? Should we find a Dragon-Man whose foot is still attached to try?"
Before Anthony could respond, Ursman reminded through the Soul Network: "Those two Dragon-Men over there are coming, one big and one small."
Everyone looked in that direction and saw a big and a small Dragon-Man flying anxiously towards them, obviously startled by Yennefer’s actions.
Yennefer also noticed and hurriedly shouted in Dragon Language: "Don’t come over, it’s Black Scale Armor, don’t approach me!"
The larger Dragon-Man’s expression changed, and she picked up the smaller Dragon-Man in her arms, stopping in sorrow and despair. Her eyes were mournful and heartbroken, wanting to move forward, but her arms instinctively tightened around the Little Dragon Man.
Imagine, if not for the Little Dragon Man, she would have rushed over without hesitation. Unfortunately, the Little Dragon Man didn’t realize what was happening and just struggled in his mother’s embrace.
Yennefer also looked at the Big and Small Dragon People with equal sadness. He was too aware of the horrors of Black Scale Armor; none of the infected Dragon-Men in the entire clan had recovered.
More than twenty had died, and their deaths were tragic. Their scales fell off, Dragon Scum fell away, and then they moved awkwardly with a bare, scaleless body, constantly dehydrating and becoming emaciated, ultimately shriveling up yet not dying.
Thinking of such a miserable way to die sent shivers down Yennefer’s spine, but compared to a tragic death, he preferred not to let his wife and child become like him.
However, before his inner sorrow peaked, a voice interrupted him: "Don’t rush to cry just yet. With the Dragon God here, you won’t die. At most, you’ll just change to another body."
"I’m not crying! I’m not crying! Don’t say such things, alright?" Yennefer rolled his eyes, forcefully sucking the moisture in his eyes back in.
Negris rolled his eyes, looking at his severed foot and saying, "Does it hurt? Want me to heal it for you? You already cut it off, so what are you afraid of?"
Yennefer shook his head: "Cutting it off is useless. When scales develop black spots, it means the disease has been latent for a long time. In a few days, spots might appear on other scales."
Negris exclaimed in surprise: "Why would you still cut it off?"
Yennefer gave a bitter smile: "What if? Even if there’s one in ten thousand chances, it has to be tried. What if it works?"
Negris retorted, "What if we can cure Black Scale Armor but can’t heal the severed foot? Then you’ll be a bright-scaled one-footed dragon."
"I..." Yennefer thought to himself: We aren’t that familiar with each other, I’d rather believe the one in ten thousand chance over you all.
Negris pondered for a moment and said, "If it has such a long incubation period, wouldn’t your wife and child also..."
Before he finished speaking, Luther quietly nudged him, but alas, it was too late. Hearing this, Yennefer’s entire demeanor collapsed, becoming extremely dejected and anxious, subconsciously looking towards his wife and child, his fingers twisting forcefully.
Negris struck at his worry, and his previously suppressed emotions could no longer be controlled, as tears streamed down his face. Cold-blooded creatures are like this, even their crying carries no warmth.
"Uh, why are you crying again? Didn’t I say? With the Dragon God here, you won’t die. At worst, you’ll get a new body, or you could become like us," Negris said frustratingly.
Honestly, here in Ange’s presence, this wasn’t a big deal at all. Even if the disease couldn’t be cured, changing to a new body would solve it. Yet Yennefer still cried, evidently not listening to his words.
"Sir, please, Father God must save us," Yennefer finally listened and turned to Negris to plead.
"Of course, I said you won’t die. By the way, what’s your wife and child’s name?" Negris asked.
"Grelli, sir, and the child is called Uranus," Yennefer responded.
"Your lineage is different from mine, but by calculation, you should be part of the Original Dragon Clan. I was nurtured after the Dragon God entered the Boundless Space Hole, so technically, I’m your granduncle. Do you have any distinctions in dragon lines, like Bronze Dragon or Green Copper Dragon?" Negris curiously asked.
"No, only after transformation do our bodies grow a few sizes larger, the rest of the color... shape... no..." As they chatted about family matters, suddenly the whole world slowed down.
Turning his head to look, Ange in the distance suddenly raised his hand and bowed, with several phantoms appearing behind him. His hands held the phantoms of Little Ghost and Kram, each connected to the phantom of Heaven’s Fortress and the World-Ending Magic Formation, with energy channels running between them.
Above his head was the phantom of the Gray Divine Star, and behind it, there was the phantom of the God of Farming, who wore a cloak, also linked to Ange’s body through an energy channel.
The four layers of phantoms manifested, connecting to Ange from the sides and above, causing the scales on his body to ripple, muscles to bulge and swell, and his entire body to grow larger.
"Hiss——Third-stage Dragon God Transformation?" Negris exclaimed in disbelief.
