Chapter 1745: Chapter 1306: There’s a Reward, Don’t Leave Yet

"The reward is sixty bottles of Star Dust and one White Crystal," Lightning said.

"What’s Star Dust? White Crystal? Which type of White Crystal, with Star Shifting or without?" Negris asked.

There are two types of White Crystal, one with Star Shifting ability and one without. Both have no differences in size, color, or power level, with the only difference being Star Shifting ability.

All with Star Shifting ability are taken from Star Descendants, like the Star Progeny Master and South Crown and North Crown, or Xisluo and the Witch. Those without Star Shifting ability are dug up from the ground. To this day, Ange hasn’t figured out the difference between the two.

"With Star Shifting ability. Star Dust is this kind of thing." As Lightning spoke, he kicked Luther, who quickly pulled out a crudely made clay bottle.

Anthony opened it and immediately swore, "Swindlers! You want to exchange this junk for the Power of Fall? Ask Little Angel yourself, she could accumulate dozens of bottles if she wanted to."

The bottle was full of floating powder, very fine and sparkling like butterfly scales when it moved, but Anthony recognized it at a glance. Isn’t this the type of Divine Star Energy that Little Angel captures every day by spreading her wings? This is called Star Dust?

"Huh? Little Angel? She has Star Dust?" Lightning asked in astonishment, having come here with Little Angel. How could he not know?

Anthony explained, and Lightning suddenly understood, "We don’t dare share the Lord’s sight, so how would I know Little Angel’s spreading wings are capturing this stuff? So, this stuff is indeed Divine Star Energy? I thought they were deceiving me, but it can indeed repair and strengthen White Crystals."

"How big is one of the sixty bottles?" Anthony asked again.

Learning that only this bottle was this size, Anthony laughed, "You’ve been conned. This isn’t generous; it’s charity for beggars. Do you know what problem the God of Tree is facing?"

The Ancient Man Snake faced Ge Castle, a part of a distant God Star. If the Star Descendants are the God Star’s children, then Ge Castle is part of the God Star. Once its power rises, it might be even harder to deal with than the aging Gray Divine Star.

Among Ge Castle, Mai Bao, and Bulizi, each possesses different abilities. Bulizi is the wisdom of the God Star, Ge Castle is the will of the God Star, and Mai Bao is the combat power of the God Star. From these differences, it’s evident that their abilities are systematic, unlike the crude Gray Divine Star.

Since they are part of the God Star, the God Star becomes their domain. The Ancient Man Snake isn’t as adapted to the God Star’s environment and can’t even differentiate between it and the God Star’s Molten Fire.

The Ancient Man Snake needs a way to differentiate them. How could they use such a commonplace item as a reward?

The so-called Star Dust is the Divine Star Energy the God Star emits every moment. It’s just unknown how it’s solidified. The God Star emits millions of tons of this Divine Star Energy in a day. How could a mere sixty bottles exchange for something that can deal with a ’part of the God Star’?

This is definitely not a reward the Ancient Man Snake would offer. Someone must want to act as a middleman. Anthony had caught many swindlers before, who altered wanted notices into seeking family notices.

Initially, the bounty for the wanted person was fifty Gold Coins, but someone copied it into a missing person’s notice, offering five Gold Coins. If anyone fell for it, they pocketed a clean forty-five coin profit. Yet, can the difficulty of catching a fugitive be the same as finding a missing person?

So this must be some organization or individual who knew of the Ancient Man Snake’s task and then issued it again publicly, wanting to profit from the information disparity. But the reward offered is equivalent to giving charity to beggars.

The only thing of any value is that White Crystal capable of Star Shifting.

"Are you sure the White Crystal they gave has Star Shifting ability?" Anthony asked.

"I’m not sure. It claimed to guarantee the Star Shifting ability. It said it was dug out from other Star Descendants’ corpses, but it’s already fooling me with these commonplace items. I no longer believe its guarantee. I’ll go and curse it to death," Lightning said angrily.

"Hold on, what did it say? It said it was dug out from other Star Descendants’ corpses?" Anthony initially wanted to expose the swindler’s scheme, but Lightning’s words made his heart stir.

White Crystal can be obtained in two ways: robbing other Star Descendants’ corpses or digging it up. The ones dug up lack Star Shifting ability. If one can find a Star Descendant’s corpse, they can indeed dig out a White Crystal with Star Shifting ability.

Can Star Descendants die? Of course, they can. Given enough time, anything becomes increasingly disordered, eventually collapsing and dying. Even the God Star will die, let alone the Star Descendants.

Diakos’s tribe is the corpse of a deceased Star Descendant, and these subspecies were birthed from that Star Descendant. The same situation is not uncommon.

If one could find a Star Descendant’s corpse, it would be a good way to obtain Star Shifting White Crystal. With this thought, Anthony asked, "Who gave you the task?"

"A Star Descendant that looks like a scorpion, called Olette." Under Lightning’s lead, Anthony met Olette on a certain ’leaf.’

The Tree of Ten Thousand Realms is unimaginably vast, with each leaf equivalent to a different world, even at the level of the Master Plane. On this leaf, renowned figures might be unheard of on others.

Anthony had never heard the name Olette at the Slave Market, but upon arrival, he realized this guy wasn’t a small fry; he was at least a Void-level Star Descendant, one of the top Star Descendants Anthony had seen, maybe only weaker than the Star Progeny Master.

However, this Void-level Star Descendant was being scolded by Lightning, backing up step by step: "Damn centipede, those legs are a waste of shoes and should be replaced with mouths. Your mouth is quite useful, opening up and swallowing a large portion of the reward. Even dung beetles aren’t as gluttonous as you. The task issued by the God of Tree, you think sixty cans of Star Dust can dismiss me? Do you think I’m a fool to be easily deceived? I’ll yell at you here for a hundred years without repeating anything..."

Olette retreated, saying as he did, "Friend Lightning, the God of Tree issued the task, but the God of Tree didn’t provide a reward. These are my personal contributions. I wanted to offer them to the God of Tree for free, but I’m not wealthy and could only offer these. If you don’t want it, fine, but why curse me?"

Lightning was at a loss for words, and even Anthony couldn’t help but straighten up. Such rhetoric isn’t simple. Anthony felt like he had met his match, and he couldn’t help but become more earnest.

"Lord Olette, hello. I’m the vice president of the Diakos Chamber of Commerce. Our commerce guild has some clues regarding the God of Tree’s task, but we can’t reach the God of Tree. We wanted to ask you to convey them, but hearing there’s no reward is quite unfortunate. Never mind, we’ll be on our way now," said Anthony, turning to leave.

"Wait, wait, there is, there is a reward, don’t go just yet."
