Chapter 1615: Chapter 1176: Good, On Track
When it came to infiltration, Anthony and the others immediately thought of infiltrating the Sphere World. That place was the breeding ground for the Mourning Undead Soldiers. According to Ziora’s description, it was a world with a massive Energy Sphere resembling a sun, brimming with the breath of death, and might even occasionally unleash the Resting Wind. All Mourning Undead Soldiers were cultivated there.
But they weren’t sure if the Sphere World was the same as the place connected to the South Coronet, or if it was the same as the one where the Star Progeny Master resided.
If the Dimension Barrier could exist independently from the Dimensional World and the Main World, it would indeed be suitable to use as a passage for infiltration.
Just as their thoughts drifted far and wide, the Blank God Statue suddenly floated up, radiating divine light.
Everyone gathered around, almost shoving the Demon Spirits that had been guarding the space off to one side.
Ursman asked, "Is this the rekindling of the Divine Fire?"
Among Ange’s followers, only Ursman hadn’t witnessed Ange catching divine seals with his bare hands, so he was extremely curious.
Negris replied, "Not exactly rekindling. When Ange just grabbed it moments ago, he discovered that the Divine Fire hadn’t been extinguished—it was simply drained of Faith Elemental Force and fell into slumber. Then this guy went ahead and turned the Divine Body into a ship bow statue."
Ange’s God Status of War and Peace was created by capturing the divine seal of the Goddess of War and imprinting it onto a Blank God Statue, re-establishing this Divine Power System.
But Leonel here was different. When Ange caught it, he found that the Divine Fire hadn’t been extinguished. In other words, Leonel had not fallen at all. Since the Divine Fire hadn’t gone out, it meant his God Status, memories, Divine Techniques, and Divine Power System were still intact.
This made things complicated. The Divine Fire wasn’t extinguished, yet the Demon Spirits had still turned the Divine Body into a ship bow statue...
As the divine light coursed and shifted, it eventually coalesced into a humanoid light figure. The figure blinked blankly, scanned its surroundings, and finally fixed its gaze on the Demon Spirit: "Rilun, what’s going on here? Why are there so many people?"
It was truly a long story. The Demon Spirit Rilun spent a great deal of effort explaining the situation, but it was futile. After hearing it all, Leonel felt like he was going insane:
"What did you say? They finished building the Sun Wheel Airship? That’s impossible. The airship was barely halfway constructed, and the blueprint wasn’t even complete. How could they have taken over and finished the build?"
Rilun helplessly shrugged. "I don’t know either. But it’s definitely completed. See for yourself if you don’t believe me."
Having seen it with his own eyes was precisely why Leonel was so shocked. He could instantly distinguish between a complete Boundary Migration Airship and an incomplete one.
But the whole scenario was absurd, as if you had sketched a luxury carriage in the sand, gathered some wood to frame it, and by the time you woke from a nap, the luxury carriage was fully built.
Unless it was truly the Space-Time God, Leonel’s gaze landed on Ange, and he suddenly felt his legs weakening, almost wanting to kneel.
Compared to Demon Spirits, Leonel, who himself wielded the Wheel of Time and Space, had a clearer understanding of Ange. This was a superior being within the same power system.
When a Low-level Water Mage encounters an Advanced Fire Mage, they only feel that the other is immensely strong. But if they meet a Water Element High-level Mage, they instinctively fear: this mage can strip away my control of the elements.
Leonel was experiencing something similar now, as if Ange could take away all his powers at any moment.
Seeing this, Anthony knew it was his turn to step in. "Hello, you’re Leonel, right? I am the envoy of the Space-Time God, you can call me Anthony."
"Hello, hello... What exactly happened here, you all..." Leonel asked. Shocked to the point of disbelief, he instinctively sought reassurance, asking essentially the same question again—a classic tell of needing multiple confirmations.
Anthony, however, spoke with a calculated touch. "Here’s the situation. You fell into a slumber due to the depletion of your divine power, but your Demon Spirit ended up forging your Divine Body into a ship bow statue. Our Lord used a Blank God Statue to save you and restore you to consciousness."
The Demon Spirit hurriedly interjected, "Ah? It was Leonel himself who asked me to forge it!"
Anthony shrugged, "I don’t know what kind of arrangement you two agreed upon. But without the Blank God Statue, things could have turned out quite differently for you. As for your airship—that’s hardly a big deal. Our Lord is the Time-Space Ancient Dragon. Even in the absence of blueprints, as long as there’s a concept, constructing a Boundary Migration Airship is as simple as a thought. Our Lord merely manifested your idea into reality."
The same event, framed from a different perspective, creates a completely distinct tone. In Anthony’s narrative, the miraculous idea of "a luxury carriage built overnight" was a minor detail, whereas the life-saving intervention became the focal point.
"Time-Space Ancient Dragon? The one in the Boundless Space Hole?" Initially, when Anthony introduced himself as the Space-Time God’s envoy, Leonel hadn’t drawn the connection, but now that the Time-Space Ancient Dragon was mentioned, he immediately realized.
If it was that being, then the sensation of having one’s power stripped away made perfect sense.
Anthony nodded. "According to your Demon Spirit, your original intent in constructing the Boundary Migration Airship was to enter the Boundless Space Hole and find us, correct? What were you seeking from the Time-Space Ancient Dragon?"
Anthony’s question was nothing short of offering Leonel the perfect way out. Leonel immediately seized the opportunity and said, "My Wheel of Time and Space feels incomplete. I hoped to find the Time-Space Ancient Dragon and have it completed."
But Leonel was still too inexperienced. Sometimes, an offered step forward could also be a hidden trap. Anthony’s next words were deceptively sharp: "Oh, your Demon Spirit mentioned that you wanted to rescue the Time-Space Ancient Dragon. So that wasn’t the case?"
Leonel froze in embarrassment, internally beating himself up. How could I not think of that? How could I not say that? I’ve been outwitted by a Demon Spirit!
The Demon Spirit was equally stunned. "Did I say that?"
"Your Wheel of Time and Space is this helm, correct? Our Lord already examined it during the construction of the Boundary Migration Airship. Indeed, there are many deficiencies. Yet, for you to wield time-space powers with an incomplete Wheel is truly remarkable. If it were completed, one can’t even imagine the heights you could reach," Anthony said with a sigh.
"Uh... that... right, unimaginable, truly..." Leonel scratched his head nervously, feeling at an utter loss. He wanted to ask Ange for help in completing the Wheel of Time and Space, but after his earlier tactless speech, he felt too awkward to broach the subject directly.
What to do? Leonel glanced at Anthony, then at Ange behind him, before finally dropping to his knees with a thud. Sincerely, he pleaded, "Leonel, your devoted follower, humbly prays to the Time-Space Ancient Dragon, my Lord, to grant me the completion of my Wheel of Time and Space."
Opening with such formal reverence made sense under the guise of being a follower. After all, he truly had been tracing the steps of the Time-Space Ancient Dragon throughout his growth.
"Well played," Anthony chuckled to himself.
What followed was a formal ritual of allegiance. Leonel successfully became one of Ange’s Subordinate Gods. As a Subordinate God, Ange could now utilize one of his Divine Techniques—Time Retrospection.
Coincidentally, Ursman had gathered a collection of Ancient Relics. By performing Time Retrospection on them one by one, they might uncover something valuable.
