Chapter 1576: Chapter 1137: For Pollination
Under the ample nutrient supply provided by Ange, the acceleration of the Instant Death Halo, and the timely intervention of Healing Holy Light, Ketika Luti emerged from her cocoon after just six hours.
"Huh, wasn’t it supposed to be a silkworm baby?" Negris muttered in surprise. He had expected a moth to crawl out of the cocoon; instead, it was... still a person.
But compared to her previously skinny and frail frame, yellow and brittle hair, cracked and dry face, and rough hands with hangnails, Ketika Luti now seemed entirely reborn. If Lisa were here, she would have immediately added this kind of cocoon transformation to her Beauty God Set.
Ketika Luti now resembled an elf—slim and well-proportioned, with fair, delicate skin, silky smooth hair, and translucent fingers. She was breathtakingly beautiful.
Of course, this was based on human aesthetics. None of the observers present were human. Yaya stepped forward and poked Ketika Luti’s shoulder. After confirming it didn’t break, she let out a sigh of relief. "I thought you were dead. You were so pale—it was terrifying."
Ketika Luti stared at her own body in shock. Clenching her fists tightly, she felt the strength coursing through her fingers and hesitated before saying, "Yaya, let me hit you once."
"Hit me? Why would you—ouch!" Before Yaya could finish, Ketika Luti lightly swung a fist at her. Yaya blocked it casually but was still forced several steps back, clutching her wrist and yelling in pain.
Having gauged her strength compared to Yaya’s endurance, Ketika Luti charged forward and unleashed a flurry of wild punches on her. Yaya shrieked and yelped in confusion.
During the few hours that Ketika Luti was in her cocoon, Yaya had also undergone enhancement. Yaya’s main issue was malnutrition. Despite being two meters tall, she was only eight years old.
As a giant who could grow up to six meters tall as an adult, an eight-year-old typically stood around 2.6 or 2.7 meters tall. Her current height was purely a result of malnutrition.
Fortunately, malnutrition was easy to fix—just eat. Anthony brought out Essence Liquid, Fruits of Life, tender sprout scrambled eggs, Upgrade Beans, and Elf Beans, and let her gorge herself without restraint.
Then, after spending a few hours under the Instant Death Halo, Yaya’s height increased to 2.3 meters. She had grown 30 centimeters in just a few hours. Her shoulders and waist had also bulked up significantly, and her strength should have doubled. Yet she was still utterly powerless against Ketika Luti’s random punches.
And this was with Ketika Luti holding back, using less than twenty percent of her strength.
"I must say, this is some absurd growth. The twig-like skeleton Yaya could’ve crushed with one hand just a bit ago is now strong enough to beat Yaya into submission. We can’t even identify her limits like this. Red Star, you’re up," Anthony called.
Red Star stepped forward with his shield, playing the part of a live target as Ketika Luti attacked him. Fully letting loose, Ketika Luti hurled punches for two minutes straight but still couldn’t break through Red Star’s shield.
This was hardly surprising. After all, Red Star had a Minor Source Body. Even with Ketika Luti’s absurd growth, it would’ve been too much to expect her to breach the defenses of a Minor Source Body so easily.
Unconvinced, Ketika Luti bent down, placing both hands against the Phantom Rock beneath her.
The Phantom Rock within her palms shattered, crumbling into colorful, radiantly shimmering powder that drifted upward and adhered to a transparent membrane on Ketika Luti’s back.
The transparent "membrane" slowly unfurled and began to flap. As the powder coated it, the membrane gradually became visible—a pair of delicate, butterfly-like wings. The dust adhered to them resembled the scales on a butterfly’s wings, reflecting different colors and lights at every angle, stunningly gorgeous.
Negris was dumbfounded. "Could this Phantom Rock material actually be similar to the scales on butterfly wings? No wonder it can’t be cultivated."
As Ketika Luti slowly straightened her body, her eyes turned entirely golden. Her wings suddenly flapped, scattering the rainbow-colored powder into the air.
Anthony blinked. Negris blinked. Red Star blinked. Everyone exchanged confused glances.
"I feel like... something just changed," Negris murmured.
"Me too. The light seems different somehow, but I can’t pinpoint how," Anthony replied in a hushed tone.
As they whispered, Yaya’s loud voice broke in: "Big Sis! Why did you shrink? Why are there so many of you now? And why are you wearing a big hat like a mushroom? Ah, Big Sis, I— I accidentally crushed you!"
Negris hesitated. "Could this... be an Illusion Technique?"
"Seems like it, but it’s so weak we barely feel it," Anthony said.
"That’s all? I thought we were talking about a Primordial God! This growth doesn’t seem all that remarkable," Negris said, looking a bit disappointed.
The bloodline of a Primordial God—after one round of absurd growth, all it had gained was some strength and a minor Illusion Technique. And the illusion was only strong enough to fool Yaya; it didn’t affect anyone else at all.
This fell far short of expectations. Everyone, except Ange, seemed let down.
Ange, however, was elated. He pulled out a bag of flour, carefully grinding it even finer before handing it to Ketika Luti. "Scatter it," he said.
Confused, Ketika Luti stared at Ange.
Ange raised his hands, demonstrating a motion, then pointed to her wings, saying, "Scatter it wide."
Though she didn’t understand, Ketika Luti flapped her wings and tossed the flour into the air. The powder scattered, wafting in the breeze just like the rainbow scales earlier.
"Like this?" she asked while scattering.
Ange nodded in satisfaction.
Finally catching on to what Ange was doing, Negris erupted in anger: "You damn skeleton! You put in all this effort, wasted so much time, just to grow a Primordial God for pollination?! For pollination?!"
Ange nodded as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Negris was livid. Originally, they had stopped to find the Teleportation Array and the Great Speaker’s master. They had spent all this time on things like rebirth, nurturing, and cocooning, thinking it was to grow a Primordial God. Now they realized that wasn’t the goal at all—this damn skeleton just wanted pollination.
Ange’s interest wasn’t in the "Origin" but in "pollination"? Kvada, who could believe this?
But coming from Ange, it was oddly reasonable. Ange himself was already the Seven Forces Unification Origin. A Primordial God held no allure for him. But a pollination-capable god? That interested him. Greatly.
Pollination? Ketika Luti appeared utterly baffled. That was until Ange floated over, pinched her arm, and peeled off a small patch of skin. Before she could even feel the pain, a burst of Holy Light descended on the wound, instantly healing it.
"Done," Ange declared to Negris.
"Done, my foot! We’ve wasted so much time anyway! Why didn’t you just nurture a proper Primordial God in the first place?" Negris snapped.
Ange shook his head. "The Teleportation Array—is now open."
