Chapter 1490: Chapter 1051: Subordinate Origin... Corpse

While the others were whispering among themselves, Ange was quietly observing this world. He could see much more than the others—twisted space, ripples of elements, bursts of light...

This area was markedly different from elsewhere; the concentration of Origin Power here was overly abundant.

On that "Flower Cluster," the density of the Chaos Origin was higher than anywhere else. If he could refine the Chaotic Power, he might be able to fashion himself a Primordial Body.

The quantity of Chaos Mist acquired from the Great Speaker was minimal, only enough for him to manifest a few seeds. Anything larger was beyond consideration—like the Heart of the Insect God, which he greatly desired, but growing it would require a potent fertilizer such as Insect Ash Liquid.

The gray water he had extracted earlier by burning material with Undying Divine Fire was far inferior in both potency and versatility, behaving more like common wood ash, albeit harder-wearing.

Insect Ash Liquid, however, was phenomenal. It could replace wood ash, guano, and ionized air while enabling the revival of life—even regenerating petrified creatures.

Unfortunately, the Chaos Mist required to cultivate the Heart of the Insect God was immense. Acquiring enough from the Great Speaker would be extremely challenging. He hadn’t anticipated finding such an abundance of Chaotic Power here.

Secondly, some areas on the "Flower Cluster" emitted strange Power of Devour. To Ange’s discerning eyes, the space there was faintly concave, indicating the presence of something generating devouring Origin.

More notably, the entire Undead City was saturated with Dark Element. From Ange’s perspective, the whole "Flower Cluster" emanated dark energy, like a black flower in full bloom.

Dark Element, Chaotic Power, Power of Devour—thus, Undead City had three types of enriched Origin occurring naturally. It was practically a treasure trove of Origin. If only he could plant some Trees of the Dead here.

While Ange was lost in his observations, Anthony and the others had already concluded their discussion with Sage Cabu and Deke. They returned to report:

"My Lord, Sage Cabu wishes to obtain a Soul Stone—something that seals a fragment of one’s soul, allowing it to sense its state from afar. Duro suggested that a Witch-lich’s Coffin could achieve similar results, but Cabu rejected that idea; he only wants a Soul Stone."

Silver Coin added, "I checked the trade catalog; Soul Stones are incredibly rare. Securing one from the marketplace seems unlikely."

Negris chimed in, "I recall that crafting a Soul Stone isn’t too difficult. Use an Earth Magic Crystal as the base, and exert powerful spiritual pressure to ’press’ internal grooves that can house spiritual energy. Frankly, it’s more accurately called a Spirit Stone than a Soul Stone."

Ange tilted his head in curiosity.

Negris elaborated, "In short, you’ll need to ’press’ with your spiritual power. Our spiritual intensity isn’t sufficient; back when the Sorcerer Alliance made Soul Stones, they had to mobilize over a thousand Magicians to collaborate. We don’t have that luxury anymore. You’re capable of doing it solo, right?"

Ange nodded and produced an Earth Magic Crystal. Just as he was about to begin, Anthony stopped him: "Wait, my Lord; hold on for a moment."

Glancing back, Anthony noticed that Deke and Cabu weren’t far away. Lowering his voice, he said, "If it seems too trivial to make, they won’t value it properly. Let Silver Coin tell him it’s exceedingly rare, and we’re unsure if we can even procure one. We haven’t started negotiating prices yet—let him sit on it for a few days."

"Then, Silver Coin asked him whether he wanted his slate maintained. Duro could clean, polish, and engrave markings on it. In exchange for maintenance services, he agreed to let us pick a plot of land down there to plant things," Anthony explained, pointing out the widest trajectory line within the "Flower Cluster."

Ange nodded enthusiastically. He’d just been contemplating planting Deadman’s Fruit on the "Flower Ball." While exploring with Deke for a safe, convenient location, he realized that the Origin energy concentration in Undead City made it far superior. The Flower Ball’s offerings now seemed unparalleled in comparison.

Sometimes fate aligned unexpectedly. Delighted, Ange pointed to a concave spot in the trajectory where the Power of Devour was most intense. If given the choice, that would be his pick.

Anthony headed off to negotiate, bringing along several large sacks of garments as gifts for Cabu, a goodwill gesture to strengthen their rapport.

Cabu was evidently pleased with the offering. Judging by the enthusiasm of the surrounding witches for clothing, attire was incredibly precious here. Beyond mere warmth, it served as a psychological comfort—a symbol of dignity.

This, in turn, provided indirect evidence that the undead here possessed intelligence. Only communities of mindful undead, engaging socially, would develop such psychological needs.

Without social constructs, who would care about lying naked in a ditch?

Cabu led the group to the trajectory surface and declared, "This area is now yours. Centered here, there are roughly five thousand square kilometers devoid of Breathing Soil. You can cultivate anything on the land without Breathing Soil."

"Thank you very much, Sir. We won’t approach the regions with Breathing Soil," Silver Coin promised quickly.

After Cabu departed, Silver Coin remarked, "Don’t you think this is a bit much? We exchanged several bags of clothes for five thousand square kilometers of land."

Negris shrugged dismissively, "What’s so odd about that? The land here clearly lacks value. Even a single large bubble from the Sea of Omniscience covers thousands of square kilometers."

Silver Coin shook his head, "It’s different. We fought hard to claim the Sea of Omniscience, taking risks in battle. Here, we merely traded some clothes. As much as the land may be undervalued, we’re still talking about five thousand square kilometers."

Even Silver Coin, notorious for his cunning dealings, felt the trade was excessive, which only validated how unbalanced it was.

"Still, this place is enormous. From above, it’s hard to gauge, but now that we’re on the ground, I feel like this surface area might exceed the Master Plane," Anthony noted.

Negris remained skeptical, "Larger than the Master Plane? The Master Plane supports billions of inhabitants—could this place actually surpass that?"

Silver Coin affirmed, "Yes. Most of the Master Plane’s surface is covered by oceans. If we include oceanic scope, this surface still surpasses it by far. Don’t forget—there’s also the reverse side of this trajectory."

With the trajectory surface having both an outward-facing side and an inward one, the total area effectively doubled.

Given this, the landmass here significantly exceeded the Master Plane, yet it was sparsely populated by merely tens of thousands of advanced undead—a striking land-to-population disparity.

Reflecting on this, Anthony felt a pang of regret: "What a waste! Tens of thousands of idle undead... Someone needs to organize them and spur development."

They spoke quietly, but all eyes remained fixed on Ange. After all, when naming a location earlier, he had immediately pointed to this area. Now, he was combing through it—it was obvious he had discovered something.

Sure enough, Ange stopped at the space where the concavity was most severe. Digging for a short while, he unearthed a pile of fragments.

"Hmm?" Duro suddenly flipped his left hand, staring at a ring on his middle finger.

The small black pearl within the ring contained specks of black powder. Normally settled at the bottom, they now gravitated toward the fragments Ange had uncovered, stubbornly leaning in that direction despite Duro’s attempts to tilt the ring.

"What are these?" The group quickly gathered around as Negris questioned.

"Subordinate Origin... corpses," Ange hesitated, finally understanding why the Origin Power here was so rich.
