Chapter 1471: Chapter 1032: Sliding Tackle to a Halt
And the other side has probably also brought another group in, which is why they have the courage to strike hard.
This posture of demanding one’s life without any debate clearly shows that the internal conflict has reached a boiling point, leaving no room for the other side to speak.
A great sect with ten million people is unrealistic without conflict. A fight is quite normal, and Ange is Anthony’s confidence. If there’s a fight, then fight, because Ange has already taken action.
Ange took a step forward, raised one hand back into a throwing position, scales rippling over his hand, a spear forming in his palm, and then he hurled it fiercely.
The spear vanished with a swoosh the moment it left his hand, not penetrating the cabin.
Everyone followed Ange onto the deck, immediately seeing the spear, the Lightning Spear, now suspended in mid-air, with a massive electric arc cleaving through the water curtain, landing on the spear.
Apparently, the other side had struck down a bolt of lightning, but Ange threw the Lightning Spear, holding the lightning in place, connecting the spear and the sky’s water curtain with the arc as a cable.
Conise’s expression changed drastically: "Damn it, the Sacred Land Protectors have colluded with him, and none of my men stopped him. I don’t know if they surrendered or died. We must leave here immediately, or it will be too late."
Anthony gave him an approving glance and leisurely asked, "Who is he?"
He was quite decisive, even thinking of leaving first in such a situation, not panicking, showing strong pressure resistance. Anthony liked such capable subordinates.
"Another High Priest, Bonid," Conise replied.
"And who are the Sacred Land Protectors?" Anthony asked.
"They are the force guarding the Holy Land, roughly a hundred Holy Land Warriors who have the authority to activate the Defensive Magic Array Sky and Earth Thunder. Once activated, it can gather Thunder Power from the entire Skysea. If one strike cannot destroy the enemy, Thunder Power will keep gathering, constantly increasing its Energy Level until the enemy is destroyed. Quickly, have your people evade. We must leave here first," Conise quickly stated.
Just as Conise finished speaking, he saw the other end of the lightning start to extend. The lightning had cleaved out from the sky’s water curtain, and now, it seemed to be branching out like a tree, spreading around the water curtain.
Of course, this was just a visual illusion; they were not spreading but converging. More Thunder Elements were gathering toward the lightning, stimulating more tiny electric arcs.
Still increasing Energy Levels? Anthony looked toward Ange: "My Lord, should we leave first?"
Ange shook his head.
Seeing Ange shake his head, Anthony felt reassured. Such an attack clearly did not exceed the level Ange could handle.
Conise glanced at Ange and then at Anthony, finally realizing that his previous feeling was not wrong. Ange appeared more unfathomable than Anthony; so he was the true lord.
But this is not good, Conise said, "If you still want to be the Lord of Omniscience, you have to stop calling someone ’My Lord.’ The Lord of Omniscience is omnipotent; no one can be greater than him."
Anthony smiled slightly: "Even if ’I’ appeared in true form, I would call this one ’My Lord’; this is Void Origin Lord Ange."
Conise blinked blankly, clearly unaware of what Void Origin meant.
Just as they spoke these words, that bolt of lightning thickened by another notch, yet the Lightning Spear wasn’t destroyed but instead also grew thicker.
The Lightning Spear was initially condensed from Thunder Power. The electric arcs couldn’t destroy it; rather, they provided it with more Thunder Power, causing it to burn brighter just like a torch thrown into a pile of dry grass.
The adversary realized something was wrong too. As the Thunder Power continued to accumulate, the junction between the electric arc and the Lightning Spear had formed a massive Energy Orb, where the energy reaction was escalating. Continuing like this, even if the Lightning Spear was destroyed, the entire Energy Orb would still explode.
A frantic voice shouted loudly: "Turn it off, turn off Sky and Earth Thunder!" It was the same voice that had previously demanded their death.
Anthony glanced at Conise, who immediately replied, "It’s Bonid."
Not long after, another voice shouted loudly: "Can’t turn it off. It’s not the Defensive Array gathering Thunder Elements now; it’s the Thunder Elements driving the Defensive Array to move, can’t turn it off."
Anthony felt a movement in his heart and looked up at Ange.
If the lightning was releasing in a controlled manner, it was the Sacred Land’s Defensive Magic Array, but if it was an uncontrolled explosion after gathering massive Thunder Power, the consequences would be severe. It would disrupt the balance of Thunder Elements in the sky’s water curtain and the land, potentially destroying the entire bubble.
What on earth is that spear? It can withstand such intense Thunder Power?
Bonid’s voice shouted anxiously: "Two Lords, please help me knock off that spear; otherwise, if it explodes, we’ll be destroyed here."
Anthony and Conise exchanged a glance, Conise shook his head, indicating he did not know whom the other party was calling ’Lords’.
But soon they realized who those ’two Lords’ were. Two Mourning Undead Soldiers came running through the air, one rushing toward the spear in the sky, the other rushing toward Ange’s position on the semi-submersible ship.
Conise’s legs softened, and he shouted desperately: "Mourning Undead Soldiers! He has turned to the Leo’s Court! Damn it, he betrayed the Lord of Omniscience! We’re done!"
The only ones who could dispatch Mourning Undead Soldiers were undoubtedly the Great Speaker and the six Speakers. In the Leo Faction’s territory, only the Leo’s Court could deploy Mourning Undead Soldiers.
If other factions dared to cause trouble, they certainly wouldn’t send Mourning Undead Soldiers, because all the Mourning Undead Soldiers served the Great Speaker loyally, and they wouldn’t easily go visiting other places.
Seeing the Mourning Undead Soldiers, Conise knew it was over. Without even considering the strength of the Mourning Undead Soldiers themselves, their mere presence signified the inclination of the Leo’s Court, no wonder the Sacred Land Protectors defected to Bonid silently.
Thinking of this, Conise gritted his teeth, tore his robe, and shouted: "You go, I’ll hold them off. You are trustworthy people, I beg you, do your best to sell grain here!"
Anthony found it somewhat absurd; which eye did he see me as a trustworthy person? Asking me to sell grain here, is he not optimistic about the Leo’s Court? Can’t the Leo’s Court settle these ten million plus believers?
However, there was no time to inquire, and Anthony took out the Great Speaker’s Good Friend Badge, flicked it with his thumb, tossing it into the air, and then catching it in his palm, just like flicking a coin to guess heads or tails.
But with this light flick, the souls of the two Mourning Undead Soldiers heard it as if it were a soul bell, causing them to skid to a halt, looking in shock at Anthony’s hand, then scampering over like a streak of smoke.
