Chapter 1463 - 1024: Little Sapling and Little Ghost Are Hitting People!

Chapter 1463: Chapter 1024: Little Sapling and Little Ghost Are Hitting People!

Does a plane have consciousness? No.

Can a plane have consciousness? Yes, for example, the Ancient Godlight.

Even something like the Ancient Godlight can be born with consciousness, so why can’t a plane?

The fact that we haven’t discovered a conscious plane yet is likely because the planes we’ve encountered are too few. One day, perhaps on a barren plane, as you till the soil and plant crops, the earth might start giggling: That tickles...

If the World Tree spread its roots throughout an entire plane and its branches and leaves blanketed the surface, would the consciousness of the World Tree then equate to the consciousness of that plane?

Thus, long ago, the God-making Warlock Radiad proposed a hypothesis: If the World Tree covered an entire plane, could it awaken as the Plane Consciousness?

However, Radiad’s hypothesis quickly hit a dead end because the World Tree’s evolutionary path was directed toward becoming the Void Tree. He then adjusted his hypothesis, wondering if it was possible for a plane to awaken its own consciousness, becoming a powerful entity akin to the World Tree?

Truly worthy of being called a God-making Warlock—one grand idea after another. Creating gods wasn’t enough; he aimed to create something even more powerful. He called this entity the Plane Consciousness.

Don’t be fooled by how often Negris gets verbally smacked around by Ange; in the eyes of others, it’s the all-knowing God of Knowledge. Radiad would go to Negris with questions he couldn’t understand, so Negris was flooded with a deluge of possible scenarios regarding the birth of a Plane Consciousness.

Now, this situation—a powerful consciousness being born—is very likely what Radiad theorized as the Plane Consciousness.

But unfortunately, Ange clearly had a different opinion. His scales rippled as he roared in anger, "Turus! Burning my fields!"

Negris nearly fell headfirst into the molten lava below, thinking to itself, "This isn’t even a demon—it just happened to emerge from the lava. And you’re calling it Turus?"

Feeling Ange’s fury, the Little Ghost on his finger rubbed its sleepy eyes, quickly comprehended the situation with a "ding," and immediately scrunched its tiny face in anger, inflating itself like a balloon: Roar—

The Little Sapling on Ange’s head also rubbed its eyes, stretched its tiny body, and enthusiastically swayed its True Leaf: Yaa—yaa—yaa—

The aura emanating from the two little ones surged wildly.

Despite their seemingly clumsy nature, the Little Sapling was the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms, and the Little Ghost was the God of Light—neither was an entity to be trifled with. The Little Ghost’s true body was even in this world.

A God of Light that transcended the Boundless Space Hole...

The growing consciousness within the lava felt a bit stupefied. It paused for several seconds, seemingly puzzled as to why two monstrously terrifying beings suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

The Little Ghost inflated to its limit and exhaled a puff of "breath" onto the lava below.

Where the "breath" landed, the boiling lava instantly solidified and hardened, the bubbling gas froze in place, capturing the precise moment of rupture.

This hardening rapidly spread outward in all directions, even extending deep underground.

The consciousness within the lava let out an enraged roar.

Yaa—The Little Sapling jumped off Ange’s head, landing on the hardened lava, and then resolutely: Grow—grow—grow!

The Little Sapling dug its roots into the solidified lava. For every bit deeper its roots went, its trunk grew taller; for every bit deeper its roots went, its branches grew thicker. The hardened lava expanded in range, and the Little Sapling grew ever more robust.

The consciousness in the lava was no longer furious. It was now terrified, emitting chaotic, panicked roars. The ambient temperature of the entire space suddenly increased by several degrees. The previously expanding hardened lava began to shrink.

The Little Ghost exerted more effort: Roar—roar—

Boom! Boom! Boom! Violent energies clashed deep within the lava. Molten streams that had yet to solidify seemed to be under immense compression, shooting massive lava pillars skyward.

The Little Sapling seized the opportunity to deepen its roots. Every area its roots extended to was converted into nutrients for its growth. However, it was evident that this was not yet at the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms level. Soon, heat began to radiate from the Little Sapling’s entire body.

Its bark thickened continuously, crystallizing. Scalding lava was absorbed along the tree’s bark, seeping like resin to the surface, forming layer upon layer of hardened, glossy black shell—pure as the finest obsidian.

The lava continued to ascend, gradually coating the entire trunk. Beneath the thick bark, dark red lava flowed, transforming the Little Sapling into a giant Molten Tree.

Finally, this dark red heat flowed upward to the treetop. On the previously barren branches, fire-like leaves began to sprout, vibrant and fiery as autumn maple leaves.

Amid the leaves, clusters of "fruit" hung from the branches. These rapidly swelled—though "ripening" wasn’t the right word, as no pollination occurred; they simply expanded, not qualifying as actual fruit.

These objects slowly grew to the size of fists, resembling tree pearls brimming with Fire Element, hanging heavily from the branches.

The Little Sapling’s relentless actions drained the energy from the entire lava field. The heat dispersed into the air, and the solidified regions expanded further.

At last, a Molten Giant was forced to rise from the lava. Leaping forward, it conjured a massive molten wave that crashed down onto the solidified ground, surging towards the Little Sapling.

The Little Ghost inhaled, inhaled, and inhaled. With each breath, immense power was channeled from the distant Heaven’s Fortress, eventually inflating it into a plump, round white ball. It raised a fist and smashed it into the molten wave.

Splat. The wave was flattened onto the ground. As the lava reassembled into a Molten Giant struggling to rise, it barely managed to stand before a whip made of intertwined roots lashed upwards, striking the giant’s head.

The headless Molten Giant finally steadied itself, only for a hefty, pudgy Little Ghost to slam into it, knocking it back down.

"Why does it feel like this Plane Consciousness is being ganged up on by the Little Sapling and the Little Ghost?" Negris’s dragon eyes widened in disbelief.

Anthony nodded, "Certainly looks like a beatdown. It’s completely helpless. Are you sure you’re not mistaken? Maybe it’s just a Turus, not a Plane Consciousness."

Negris rolled its eyes, "Would it take both the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms and the God of Light to beat up a mere Turus?"

"That’s true. Are these two little ones really this ferocious?" Anthony said, still thinking of the Little Ghost as the tiny figure who used to warm itself beside the Holy Light in Heaven.

As for the Little Sapling, he’d seen its true form but never connected it with the tiny seedling swaying and chirping on Ange’s head.

Ange crouched low, maintaining his Dragon God Transformation for a long while, only to realize he was unnecessary. His "Turus" had been completely hijacked by these two little powerhouses.

With a sense of bittersweet pride, Ange shifted his gaze to Samus. The Guardian of Infinity stood dumbfounded, in utter disbelief. The Plane Consciousness, summoned through countless sacrifices, was getting pummeled? Was there no justice? This was supposed to be a Plane Consciousness.

Amid his shock, Samus suddenly felt a gaze fix on him. Looking up, he met Ange’s eyes and forced a strained smile before promptly turning and fleeing.
