Chapter 1400 - Chapter 1400 Chapter 961 Mourning Undead Soldiers

Chapter 1400: Chapter 961 Mourning Undead Soldiers Chapter 1400: Chapter 961 Mourning Undead Soldiers A hidden cave, a group of people squatting excitedly at the entrance, looking up at the approaching airship in the void, their hearts couldn’t be more thrilled.

For nearly half a year, a full half a year, they had been staying on this not-so-large plane, idly watching Ange farm the land, bored to death.

If only Ange had let them help, even if it were exhausting, at least they’d have something to do. But Ange never allowed them to help, except for hauling ice, drawing water, and spreading fertilizer. They weren’t to interfere with the farming work at all. In Ange’s words: No, don’t touch, mine.

So, silver coin Nagi and others would often go out, and for those who weren’t convenient to leave, staying here was suffocating. Finally, some outsiders intruded, immediately sparking everyone’s interest, even the Monarch crawled out of the grave to find some amusement.

After half a year of transformation, the entire Bridgehead Fort had changed drastically. A World Tree grew robustly at the center of the plane, its roots and leaves piercing through the entirety of the plane, binding a loose, irregular rubble plane into a solid and firm whole.

Because Ange wanted to plant things on the surface and inside, it wasn’t visible from the outside, but the interior was already fused into one piece, somewhat like a solidified mix of velvet rock and soil.

And this velvet wasn’t the ordinary kind; it was the carbonized lignin fiber used by Ange when manufacturing Elf Chariots, combined with tree resin, making for an extremely high strength blend.

This seemingly ordinary plane on the surface had actually become comparable to the carbon-fiber body of an Elf Chariot. Colliding with it could shatter a real plane into pieces, a true ‘fort’ of a Bridgehead Fort.

With enough Chaos Stones, it could even move, qualifying as a true Void Fortress, not just the kind of transfer fortress like Bridgehead Fort.

The World Tree extended its roots even to the Energy Tower, borrowing the overflow of Divine Light for growth in its leisure time, tossing Chaos Stones inside when it needed to move.

Vibrant plants supplied ceaseless vitality to the World Tree, which in turn, promoted the best growth for all plants, creating a positive cycle.

Under these conditions, the Chaos Tree also grew robustly, bearing an unending supply of Chaos Stones. The crops were abundant, with water and light (Divine Light); all elements of life had reached a balance, turning it into a Material Plane. Even if living creatures arrived, they could easily survive.

Silver coin had raised quite a few plump sheep and rabbits here, as prey for Ogli’s family, but soon faced stiff protest from the God of the Swift Wind, claiming eating rabbits was unfriendly towards it.

Silver coin quickly added some lizards for the Swift Wind Rabbit to be ‘unfriendly’ with, and it didn’t take long before Negris lodged a complaint.

However, despite who complained, the ecosystem here only got better, and Yixianni even relocated some creatures that were inconvenient to show themselves in public to this place.

Amidst these circumstances, an airship suddenly intruded, descending slowly from the void. The words of the Wizard on the ship could be heard clearly.

“Something’s wrong. Why can we hear what he’s saying so clearly?” Nagri expressed his confusion. After all, this was the Void, where air was bound to the ground, and like Eternity Road, was very thin. The airship hadn’t landed yet, so the sound shouldn’t have carried this far.

Ange pointed to the plants outside: “The forest whisper.”

The forest captured their voices, softly informing the gods of the forest, and Nagri was only able to hear so clearly because he was riding on Ange’s coattails.

The airship landed straight down.

“What kind of people are these? They’re too bold, not even scouting before landing?” The Swift Wind Rabbit said, baffled.

Nagri retorted: “Scout what? Whether there are fat rabbits here? Swift Wind, aren’t you supposed to be on a diet?”

“Dieting? Where am I fat? It’s all muscle, bet you I’ll still win even if I let you start 95 meters ahead in a 100-meter race.” The Swift Wind Rabbit said angrily.

“If you’re not on a diet, then eat less. You’re almost two meters tall now; rabbits aren’t supposed to be so huge.” Negris elbowed the Swift Wind Rabbit’s butt.

These days, the fat rabbit has eaten too many good things, squatting there at a full two meters tall, stronger built than Negris’ current form.

“I’m already eating so little, just nibbling on some leaves. I haven’t even touched meat, so how can you blame me for growing strong?” The Swift Wind Rabbit retorted.

“Kvada, those leaves are from the World Tree.” Negris wanted to swat its tail in frustration, but just as he stood up, Ange held him down.

Not only did Ange hold them both, but he also prompted the World Tree around them to close in, sheltering them from sight.

Such a move made even the Monarch perk up, whispering, “Found something?”

“Mourning.” Ange responded.

Everyone felt a chill. Mourning on the Airship?

Now, even the Monarch didn’t dare to extend their senses actively, as it would be easy for the other Mourning to detect if they did. They could only passively sense, creating a slight gap to stealthily ‘look’ outside.

Negris had it easiest, directly sharing Ange’s field of vision. Of everyone present, Ange had the clearest view because all plants were within his sight.

Before the Airship landed, a humanoid creature jumped down, clad in heavy armor and indistinguishable race, for its armor was engraved with complex Magic Patterns.

These Magic Patterns weren’t for enhancement, but seemed more like seals, locking all its power and fluctuations beneath the armor, revealing only a pair of ashen eyes.

Seeing those ashen eyes, Negris confirmed, “A dead person, a Necromancer?”

The armored Necromancer landed on the ground and scanned left and right without concealing its intentions, sweeping everything in the vicinity, naturally including the spot where Ange and the others were hidden.

However, this nearly infallible soul scan was completely ineffective under the World Tree’s cover, missing a pile of things inside the cave, then signaling an all-clear gesture to the Airship above.

Immediately, the Airship descended, and four Wizards, two men and two women, descended one after the other. The leading male Wizard snapped his fingers, and a flame appeared in front of him.

His eyes lit up as he withdrew his protective shield and took a deep breath, exclaiming joyfully, “It’s breathable, such fresh air, my God, it’s amazing, why would such a fragmented Plane have such fresh air?”

The other Wizards similarly dismissed their protective shields, breathing freely and one female Wizard excitedly said, “Floating for months, the Airship’s air recycled hundreds of times, nearly became putrid, oh my God, I never realized how delightful fresh air could smell.”

Floating for months? The Monarch and Negris glanced at each other, the Monarch softly said, “Floating for months, coming from the Divine Light Alliance? Then is that armored Undead Soldier possibly a Mourning Undead Soldier?”

“Two of them.” Ange stated.

The Monarch hurriedly peered outside, only to see another Mourning Undead Soldier walking out of the Airship. Without landing, it flew around to ensure there were no dangers.

Nevertheless, as it flew, it suddenly descended to the ground, picked up a Deadman’s Fruit, and sniffed it forcefully. Surprisingly, a glint of life shone through its ashen eyes.
