Chapter 1332 - Chapter 1332 Chapter 893 Using This to Test a Businessman
Chapter 1332: Chapter 893: Using This to Test a Businessman? Chapter 1332: Chapter 893: Using This to Test a Businessman? Adams absolutely did not believe that this place was man-made, as the involved precision was too great. Spanning hundreds of square kilometers without a single undulation, yet capable of rolling a silver coin such a long distance, precisely onto the core of the Array–it was nothing short of a miracle.
No, even Gods might not be capable of this, for many Gods were uneducated, hand them a magical construct and they might not be able to restore it; some Gods drew their power from brute force, some from lineage, and others from knowledge.
If this was a miracle, it could only originate from a God of knowledge.
As Adams pondered chaotically, the silver ingot began embedding the Magic Crystal Soul Crystals into the Magic Array. Adams glanced over and noticed that the slots for the Magic Crystal Soul Crystals were identical.
He wondered how the silver ingot distinguished which slot was for the Magic Crystals and which for the Soul Crystals, or perhaps it didn’t matter? As long as the proportions were right.
From these arrangements alone, one could see the level of sophistication of the treasure vault’s designer; it was anything but simple.
Adams had most of his memories erased, leaving only the memories from when he first arrived in the Chaos Plane, so his understanding of the Void was only at the level of a Spirit Magician; the present setup was already beyond his cognition.
After the Magic Crystal Soul Crystals were embedded, the silver ingot pressed the silver coin into the core slot of the Array. It seemed this silver coin was not only the guide to find the Magic Array but also the key to activate it?
Suddenly, a dark shadow arose, transforming into a magician’s illusion wearing a tall hat and a cloak.
“Welcome, everyone, hello, I am Durken the magician, at your service. Welcome to True Paradise.” The magician tipped his hat and bowed.
Little Bone was stunned; it indeed recognized Durken, but this before it was not Durken, but an illusion, not the real one.
Stabilizing its spirit, Little Bone stared hard at the illusion of Durken, quickly seeing through it. Its gaze landed at a spot outside the Magic Array; walking over, it swept the area with thought and discovered an egg of Shay buried underneath.
The illusion of Durken was the manifestation of this egg, and unbeknownst to them, the whole Magic Array had been enveloped by the Illusion Territory.
Little Bone saw through the illusion, but the silver ingot and the guards had not; they, too, simultaneously exclaimed in a quivering voice.
Little Bone relaxed its mind and soon found itself under the influence of the illusion. Before its eyes appeared a glittering and splendid palace, filled on both sides with dazzling Gold, Mithril, Magic Crystals, Soul Crystals, Holy Crystals, antiques, and artworks, nearly filling the entire palace, leaving only a narrow pathway.
Two guards excitedly dove into the heap of treasures, flinging them into the air while exclaiming jubilantly, “We’re rich, we’re rich, we are really rich! There’s more wealth here than in a thousand Commerce Guilds; chairman, we’re rich!”
However, a wry smile involuntarily surfaced on the silver ingot’s face, muttering softly, “Great ancestor, if this is a test, must it be so thrilling from the start?”
Saying this, he closed his eyes and quickly walked forward; the two guards, immersed in the sea of treasures, didn’t even notice the silver ingot had moved ahead.
Little Bone followed him, and the illusion of Durken manifested also followed, continuing to speak, “So, you are a descendant of the silver coin, what happened? Was the Commerce Guild taken from you? That’s too easy; you can move the treasures here freely, enough to rebuild dozens of Commerce Guilds. Then, issue a few high-paying bounties, and mercenaries will naturally bring your enemies’ heads to your doorstep.”
Silver ingot grimaced, “My enemies are powerful; not all mercenaries dare to provoke them.”
“Not dare? That’s because you didn’t offer enough money. Put out a double super mission, and they’d dare to slaughter gods. If there are no living folks willing, find the dead ones. Someone from the House of the Deceased would dare,” Durken’s phantom spoke.
Silver ingot grimaced and continued to shake his head.
Soon, they passed through a palace piled with treasures and entered a warmly colored palace. The surroundings were all warm and ambiguous shades–pink, yellow, green–creating a relaxing atmosphere.
Dozens of beauties from various races came to greet them, including humans, elves, enchanting demons, snake people, dragon girls, and even plump minotaurs, dwarfs, and goblins. Each had their own charm and wore revealing outfits, their charming smiles and alluring eyes stirring Silver ingot’s heart numerous times in just a few seconds.
But, thinking of something, Silver ingot gritted his teeth and pushed past the beauties from various races, quickly reaching the next palace. This palace was filled with countless exquisite apparatuses, alchemy materials, blacksmithing tools, fishing gear, and adult toys. For those with addictive hobbies, it was a place they definitely wouldn’t want to leave.
Having learned from his previous experiences, Silver ingot walked straight past, ignoring everything, and pushed open another door. He arrived at a farmland overflowing with golden rice, verdant vegetables, upright saplings, and various flowers–a veritable garden of plants.
Having resisted the temptation of the beauties from various races, these colorful plants were even less of a challenge for Silver ingot. He even doubted whether this counted as a trial. Testing a merchant with this? Which merchant couldn’t withstand such a trial?
Without looking back, he walked forward; there was only a plain palace ahead. Pushing open the door, he saw a majestic armored angel.
Just in time, Durken clapped his hands, “Congratulations, congratulations. You’ve passed all the tests and obtained the Armored Saint Spirit left by the silver ingot. It possesses formidable combat strength, can armorize onto your body, and immediately grants you combat power comparable to a four-winged angel.”
“Ah? Is this it? I…” Silver ingot stood bewildered, somewhat disappointed. He had endured the temptations of treasures, beauty, and hobbies, yet, in the end, he received just an armor?
Was the legendary merchant’s treasure vault only hiding a piece of armor? That was even less appealing than the treasures in the first palace. With those treasures, he could have formed dozens of armies and overwhelmed his enemies.
Now, with only one piece of armor, even if he possessed the combat power of a four-winged angel, could he really match a duke? The duke had an array of great swordsmen and great magicians at his command.
“Can I, can I forgo the armor and choose the treasures from the first palace instead? Eh? Where’s Lord Summoner?” Silver ingot looked back to inquire, only to realize that Little Bone, who had been following behind him, was missing.
Durken’s phantom shook his head, “You can wear the Holy Armor. Everything here will be yours. As for the Summoner? Are you talking about Little Bone? It’s in the farm.”
Little Bone? Silver ingot paused, thinking he had misheard, but he didn’t bother asking further, especially when he heard that everything here could be his.
“How do I wear it?” Silver ingot asked.
Durken’s phantom explained, “Put the silver coin into its chest, activate it, and that’s it.”
“Silver coin? I embedded it in the Array; how can I get it in here?” Silver ingot said, bewildered.
