Chapter 1312 - Chapter 1312 Chapter 875 Celebrating the Festival Beautifully

Chapter 1312: Chapter 875: Celebrating the Festival Beautifully Chapter 1312: Chapter 875: Celebrating the Festival Beautifully “Ange, do you wish to leave this wilderness?” the Monarch asked directly.

Ange was staring intently, searching around, seemingly fixated on something unseen. Upon hearing the question, he cocked his head to the side and asked, “Can you plant things there?”

Ancient Godlight was puzzled. What did he mean by that? The Exalted Energy Level Wilderness wasn’t the kind of desert that lacked water; what did it have to do with whether things could be planted there?

The Monarch replied, “How would I know? I’ve never been there.”

Ange decisively shook his head: “I’m not going.”

Having said that, he continued to stare intently, casting his gaze forth.

In the Master Plane, Gailard looked up at the pitch-black sky. A trace of worry appeared on his exquisitely beautiful face, which naturally invoked sympathy in onlookers, who could hardly restrain the urge to smooth away his frown.

Of course, those who dared to approach had already been struck down by the Elf Guard.

After completing a set of prayer rituals, Kael’danil came over with a frown to report, “Your Majesty, the God of Life has not responded.”

Gailard glanced left and right, then pulled Kael’danil aside and whispered, “What time is it already, you should seek out Lord Ange.”

After enduring so many ordeals, the Elf Queen had come to realize that Lord Ange might be a bit more reliable than the God of Life.

Kael’danil smiled bitterly, “My first prayer was to Lord Ange. Having received no response from him, only then did I pray to the God of Life, and also received no response. I also prayed to the Little Tree God, still with no response.”

“No response at all? Could something have happened? Why would the sunlight just disappear out of the blue? Could the disappearance of the sunlight be related to Lord Ange and the God of Life?” Gailard muttered inquisitively.

“The disappearance of the sunlight… regardless of whether it’s related to Lord Ange and the Tree God, it’s definitely unrelated to us. If we knew what happened, what could we do about it? Go help?” Kael’danil’s expression grew even more distressed.

Gailard clasped the hilt of his blade, gripping it tightly before letting go, repeating this several times before sighing, “Giant Dragon Hunters… we can’t even offer any help in the rush.”

“Forget the Giant Dragon Hunters; even the Giant Dragons are of no help,” Kael’danil said. “Brooks just sent a message asking us about our situation.”

“They don’t have any news either? Doesn’t the Giant Dragon Clan have a book following Lord Ange, what was it called? Nage?” Gailard exclaimed in surprise.

He had been intending to inquire about any news from the Dragon Clan, not expecting that they had already reached out.

“Perhaps as a pet it has a low status. Should we ask the Stellaris Mage? I heard many mages of Stellaris have already started following Lord Ange,” Kael’danil suggested.

Gailard asked, “What about the Void Elves? Have any of them sent back news as they follow Lord Ange?”

Kael’danil shook his head.

Having gone through all the possible channels she could think of, yet without any news, a deep sense of powerlessness welled up in Gailard’s heart. Was the distinguished Elf Queen so far removed from Lord Ange’s level?

Initially, she thought to offer herself in exchange for Ange’s forgiveness. Now, merely recalling that thought made her cheeks flush with embarrassment.

Kael’danil asked curiously, “Your Majesty, why are you blushing? Are you sick?”

Gailard, trying to cover up, said, “The weather is dry, I might be a bit overheated. I’ll pick some cooling herbs later.”

“Dry?” Kael’danil looked at the moss that squished out water with every step and the damp fallen leaves, unable to associate these things with dryness at all.

Of course, she also couldn’t associate Gailard’s rosy cheeks with a proposal that was overreaching from years ago, only able to accept this explanation before asking, “So what do we do now?”

Gailard took a deep breath and ordered, “Gather food and warm clothing with all your might, establish shelters, and try to survive. Gather the young elves together, take care of them collectively, and group the adult elves by age. When necessary, let the oldest elves return to the embrace of nature.”

Kael’danil turned pale, shaking as she said, “Return to the embrace of nature? Isn’t that… sending them to their deaths? Could it really come to that?”

Gailard sighed, “If it only comes to that, it might be the best outcome. If the Sun really disappears forever, most of the world’s plants will wither and die, crops will fail. Without the protection of the forests, creatures driven mad with hunger will come flooding in, and they will eat us.”

The Elf Queen was terrified by this description, but after thinking it through, it seemed all too plausible. Hunger could drive any creature to madness, including giant dragons, humans, and the elves themselves.

“So, only Lord Ange can save us, whether it’s his ‘Micro-luminescent Moss Supplementary Planting Technology’ or the ‘Holy Light Ball’ from the Conch Plane. Either could be used to grow crops without the Sun. At the very least, he could unleash the Undead Calamity and turn us into undead,” Gailard said.

The words “undead” coming from the Elf Queen’s mouth might have caused alarm years ago, but now, Kael’danil not only had no aversion to it, she even seemed eager to try, “Can we be as tender and moist as that? Like Lisa and Auburnli? If so, that wouldn’t be so bad. Lisa is over a thousand years old, and she doesn’t look it at all.”

“What are you thinking? A large-scale Undead Calamity, your only hope to retain your memories from life is luck. What if you become a mindless zombie, with a saggy, dried-up chest wandering about? Would you still think it’s good then?” Gailard said.

Kael’danil shot her a look, “I remember now who Lightning got its mouth from, learned it from its mother, who learned from you, hehe. I’m going to Goddess of Beauty City right now to buy the package. If I really become a zombie, just lock me in a crystal coffin. Revive me during the holidays, let me spend the festive times beautifully.”

“Haha, that’s a good idea…” Gailard laughed heartily and was just about to say something when she sensed something and abruptly looked up, eyes wide with shock.

She felt a gaze, something was watching her. My God, what was that gaze? It was so distant, so profound, as if coming from the pitch-black void itself.

The gaze, as commanding as a natural force, made Gailard weak in the knees and she involuntarily knelt on one knee, trembling all over. This was the natural response of a creature facing an unknown and great terror.

Then the gaze shifted slightly, and Gailard had a flash of insight, exclaiming subconsciously, “Lord Ange?”

That gaze immediately locked onto her, and a beam of light shone down on her position.

In the boundless darkness, a stunningly beautiful Elf Queen was illuminated by a solitary beam of light. If someone were to capture this scene, it would be another masterpiece for the ages.

It seemed the beam had locked onto her; with that first beam as the center, more lights began to expand. The sky, under the illumination of these lights, gradually brightened.

“The… the day is breaking, the Sun is coming out, Your Majesty, what… what have you done?” Kael’danil apparently couldn’t feel that terrifying gaze.

She only saw Gailard kneel down, call out ‘Lord Ange,’ and then a beam of light came down, spreading across the entire sky.

What on earth had Gailard done to bring about this miraculous scene? Wasn’t that stealing the job of her own priests?

“It’s… it’s Lord Ange,” said Gailard, pointing up at the Sun, muttering out of character.

The entire Plane was once again illuminated by sunlight, and the previously chaotic Plane quickly regained order. Just when everyone was overjoyed and preparing to celebrate, there was a click, and the sunlight vanished again, replaced by a red dot where the Sun had been which slowly expanded and grew in size.
