Chapter 1310 - Chapter 1310 Chapter 873 Why Dont We Just Rob Them

Chapter 1310: Chapter 873: Why Don’t We Just Rob Them Chapter 1310: Chapter 873: Why Don’t We Just Rob Them Ange was usually easy to talk to; even when Negris nagged him all day, he never got angry, at most he would ignore you. But once it affected his farming, the problem became serious.

All the sunlight within the Farm Barrier disappeared, this surpassed even the severity of burning his fields, as all the sunlight from the Farm Barriers was gone.

Ange’s Abyss Suction quickly intensified, instead firmly trapping the Ancient Godlight. The darkness expanded to cover it.

Faced with encroaching darkness, the Ancient Godlight hastily increased its own brightness, resisting the shadows and forcefully occupying a small part of the Abyss.

The God of Life was overjoyed, greedily extending its branches to absorb the light, growing rapidly in the illuminated areas. Leaves became more abundant, and roots robustly grew, stretching further afield.

The Ancient Godlight suddenly faced a dilemma, retract its light and be devoured by the Abyss, or release it and strengthen the God of Life.

However, Ange didn’t give it much time to ponder. The darkness of the Abyss continued to expand and its gravitational pull gradually strengthened, as if Ange was still gathering power.

Negris realized something and quickly withdrew his thoughts back to his core. Peering into the space, he indeed saw Hole Bugs gobbling up Black Stone enthusiastically, then poking their heads out and spitting it out.

Negris projected his thoughts, “Ange is still adding Black Stone. With that kind of momentum, could he be planning to convert all the Black Stones and then unleash a single blast to annihilate the Ancient Godlight?”

Even the Monarch uncontrollably gasped, “No, no, definitely not, I need the Ancient Godlight for planting trees. Quick, persuade him.”

Negris rolled his eyes in annoyance, “You talk to him yourself.”

Although Negris often nagged Ange, it never did so after Ange’s fields were burned. Little Fat Dragon could differentiate the importance of issues. When Ange got angry, not even ten Bronze Dragons could hold him back.

“I will,” Anthony called out with his soul. “Lord, the Ancient Godlight is the source of sunlight. If you kill it, the sunlight will vanish completely.”

Persuasion also takes skill. Upon hearing Anthony’s words, Ange immediately paid attention, hesitated, and then said, “Disobedient, kill, rebuild.”

“First, you should inquire how exactly the sunlight is projected into the Plane, and only after getting that information should you kill it,” Anthony suggested.

“If it can be rebuilt, then it doesn’t matter. Kill it, just kill it,” said the Monarch upon hearing that a reconstruction was possible, suddenly unconcerned. After all, a Godlight created by oneself is more useful than one belonging to an enemy.

The Ancient Godlight felt like combusting on the spot, thinking, what does this mean? A mere Law Breaker dares to think of killing and recreating me?

The Ancient Godlight originally thought its physical presence would easily control the situation. It was, after all, the Ancient Godlight–though not as powerful as the Primordial Divine Light, it still inherited the lineage of the Ancient Godlight.

Had Negris heard its inner monologue, it probably wouldn’t have been able to refrain from commenting: What inheritance could the Ancient Godlight possibly have?

Ange possessed the lineage of the Bone Dragon, which stemmed from knowledge, not from power.

Ange also inherited Undead Godhood, but no one ever felt that Ange was the Monarch’s heir; rather, they saw him as the beneficiary of sheer dumb luck. Heritage and succession are different.

Only knowledge can be passed down, but the Primordial Divine Light had no knowledge to speak of. It exploded precisely because it developed consciousness.

Therefore, the current Ancient Godlight at best inherited a fraction of the Primordial Divine Light’s power. It still needed to slowly acquire and understand the knowledge to utilize that power.

But if it’s just about the power of the Ancient Godlight, who doesn’t have it?

As more Black Stone was added, the range of the Abyss’s darkness expanded, and even the Ancient Godlight’s brilliance began to bend and distort.

Now stuck between a rock and a hard place, charging outwards, it found itself restricted by Ange’s Abyss; outside, the God of Life and the Undead Ruler had already formed a double defense, ready to restrain it for use as tree fertilizer.

Heading inwards would mean confronting an unfathomable Abyss, more formidable than Big Mouth. Has the Abyssal strength become a common affair?

Hey, why am I also calling it Big Mouth? Damn it, the influence of those Planar beings got to me.

Hesitating for a moment, Ancient Godlight shouted loudly, “Void Will, pull me!”

Void Will felt like crying, “You saving me makes more sense, saving %…”

Before it could finish speaking, the Abyssal Big Mouth, which had been gaping open the entire time, finally seized the opportunity and spat out! A stream of Abyss Breath sprayed onto the body of Void Will.

With a boom, a ring exploded on the body of Void Will, spreading out like a shockwave, and after reaching a certain distance, the body of Void Will burst out with a dazzling strong light once again, illuminating the entire Void like an exploding sun.

As the strong light dissipated, the form of Void Will was blown away by a small half.

The Abyssal Big Mouth wasn’t much better off; its Abyss Breath was simply spewing out the energy it had devoured, creating a high-frequency energy jet, a pure force-against-force move.

However, because it was a force-against-force energy jet, the damage it inflicted on enemies was real and substantial. As long as it wasn’t dodged, no matter what move you used to resist it, you would have to expend an equal amount of energy.

Last time, the Abyssal Big Mouth had already spewed an Abyss Breath; this was its second time, and it had nearly drained its last drop of energy. Without consuming something, it couldn’t recover.

Ancient Godlight saw the plight of Void Will and felt both anger and helplessness: The situation was somewhat dire.

Hesitating for a moment, Ancient Godlight said somewhat reluctantly, “Let’s talk it out; we don’t need to become enemies.”

Ange’s voice echoed from the depths of the Abyss, “Awoo!”

Negris hastily translated, “Anthony, he’s calling for you, stall for time.”

“Oho.” Anthony, already accustomed to cooperating, immediately summoned his Consciousness Body and called out loudly, “Who are you exactly? Why don’t we need to become enemies? You were just saying earlier that the Void will ultimately be chaotic, and the ants will be obliterated!”

“I am Ancient Godlight. That line was just an opening remark; Void Will said that making an entrance like that would be more imposing,” Ancient Godlight said in a deadpan tone.

“You’re lying. Void Will also says it’s Ancient Godlight, and you say you’re Ancient Godlight. You can’t even prove your identity, so why should we not be enemies?” Anthony asked sharply, unintentionally shifting the topic from ‘who you are’ to ‘how can you prove who you are.’

If you want to prove that you are Ancient Godlight, then time will quickly be consumed in proving and questioning.

“I am Ancient Godlight, damn it. Stop using my name all the time. I am the real Ancient Godlight; he’s just a human…” Ancient Godlight was forced to affirm its identity.

Ancient Godlight was a consciousness that had been born from the Primordial Divine Light. Because of its birth, the Primordial Divine Light exploded.

Aside from inheriting part of the power of the Primordial Divine Light, its whole consciousness was as blank as a newborn infant. For a very long time, it lingered in a muddled state.

It did not know how much time had passed when it awoke its instinct.

What is Ancient Godlight? It is the sun as people know it, casting sunlight was its instinct; having awakened its instinct, it turned its gaze towards the ‘noisy’ Planes.

Here, ‘noisy’ doesn’t refer to sound but to a rhythm of life. The more life there is in a world, the more it can hear the ‘sound’ of life. Therefore, worlds with a more balanced distribution of elements that can nurture life receive more of its ‘gaze.’

This state continued for many years, as it watched over the rise and fall of species in the Material Plane, feeling neither sorrow nor joy until one day, a human gazed upon it and asked curiously, “Are you, alive?”

This human was Void Will.

Upon learning that the sun was alive, had its name – Ancient Godlight, Void Will began to use various methods to approach it.

Ancient Godlight was too bored; it needed an independent consciousness to answer some questions, so it accepted Void Will. It condensed part of its power into a Consciousness Body and mapped the human’s consciousness over, naming it Void Will.

Compared to Ancient Godlight, Void Will had much greater ambitions and could not endure loneliness. It started to cause trouble, subjugating Abyssal Big Mouth, sealing Dark Origin, establishing Laws of the Void, and so forth–all its doing.

Finally, when there was nothing left to cause trouble with, it began to muse, “Say, are there other Ancient Godlights like you elsewhere? Could they be yet unawakened, in their primordial state? Let’s go and take their power, shall we?”
