Chapter 1308 - Chapter 1308 Chapter 871 King of All Undead in the Void
Chapter 1308: Chapter 871: King of All Undead in the Void Chapter 1308: Chapter 871: King of All Undead in the Void “You’re deliberately trying to buy time just to summon it? The Ancient Godlight.” The Monarch straightened with a smile, his form rapidly enlarging and revealing his Primordial Body as if he had been prepared all along.
However, his words startled everyone but Ange, with Negris exclaiming in shock, “The Ancient Godlight? He’s summoning the Ancient Godlight? Wasn’t the Ancient Godlight dead?”
The Monarch responded with some helplessness, “If the Ancient Godlight were gone, where would the sunlight come from? After being in the Void for so long, have you found where the Sun is?”
“Ah…” Negris opened his mouth wide.
Where did the sunlight come from? Right, where did it come from? After arriving in the Void, they had not located the Sun, that which illuminates all Material Planes and nourishes everything. Where had it gone?
Wait, that’s not right, why had everyone overlooked such an obvious issue?
Negris glanced at the Monarch, then towards Anthony, who was furrowing his brows with Divine Power flickering about him, clearly straining to use his divine abilities.
Negris felt his brain struggling to keep up, he looked back at the Monarch and asked, “Is this the greatest secret of the Void you were talking about?”
The Monarch shook his head. “No, this isn’t much of a secret; just a little trick. Was there not a God among the Gods of Light who had a certain power? What was his name? Oh, I’ve forgotten, but his Divine Power had the ability to make people forget him. The sunlight also has the power to make you overlook it.”
“Hiss–Are you saying the sunlight comes from the Ancient Godlight, that it’s not dead, and its radiance carries the power to be overlooked by everyone?” Negris said, shocked.
The Monarch just shook his head with a smile.
Suddenly, Anthony said, “Your Majesty didn’t say ‘dead,’ just ‘gone.’ So, could this be a different Ancient Godlight than before?”
The Monarch then nodded. “Exactly, this is a new Ancient Godlight, one with its own will. I’ve always suspected that behind the Void Will, there’s a dominating force, and it turns out to be the Ancient Godlight.”
“Pff–You didn’t say that before; initially, you mentioned you were searching for a new Void Tree to sustain the Void and prevent it from collapsing,” Negris said with exasperation.
The Monarch laughed lightly. “I told Ange, some things if grasped, become all too easy to reveal.”
“That’s impossible, I’m very tight-lipped. With Ange taking me along, no one can catch me,” Negris said.
The Monarch gave him a glance and said irritably, “You yourself are a Prophet Dragon, yet you say such things. We don’t need you to open your mouth; the changes in time and space can reveal all secrets. Ange being one of the Primordial, can transcend these changes. You cannot.”
“You… I… Kvada!” Negris cursed, enraged.
It wasn’t my fault; the Old Immortal took my Power of the Prophet. I knew nothing about it. But then again, when La Locke hadn’t captured him, he hardly managed to use the Power of the Prophet effectively; such a power requires immense strength to sustain, or else it’s nearly useless.
“Is this the greatest secret of the Void you were talking about?” Negris calmed himself and asked again.
The Monarch shook his head.
Negris’s face fell, this wasn’t the biggest secret? The Ancient Godlight had been summoned, and yet it wasn’t the secret; what then was the secret they were talking about?
The scariest scenario isn’t when you meddle and attract the Mother Dragon to spank you, but when you meddle and the Mother Dragon comes running with a smile, saying, “Today, I won’t spank you.”
As they heatedly discussed here, the Void Will was going a bit insane. Now that the Ancient Godlight had been summoned, the enemies still had the mood to chat?
Abyssal Big Mouth also felt something was off and hesitantly asked, “Should we just watch? Should we kill this guy before it gets here?”
The Ancient Godlight was approaching in a manner akin to the rising sun, slowly squeezing through, first a bright light piercing the darkness through a crack.
The bright light shone on the Chaos Mist, continuously refracting and scattering, illuminating the entire expanse of Chaos Mist just like the World of Holy Light Ange had created when he ambushed Dark Wing.
The light kept expanding and intensifying, making the surrounding mist brighter and brighter, until it seemed as if the mist itself was glowing.
“A good idea, you go up and kill that guy; we’ll plunder after,” the Monarch said.
Abyssal Big Mouth couldn’t help but look towards Ange.
Ange was hanging his head low; his expression was unclear, and his attention didn’t seem to be present.
Abyssal Big Mouth wanted to ask Ange’s opinion, but was pulled away by Dark Origin, “Shh, I sense anger; don’t disturb the master.”
Abyssal Big Mouth blinked in confusion, while Dark Origin nodded vigorously.
“What kind of anger scared Dark Origin?” Abyssal Big Mouth didn’t know and didn’t dare to ask. He followed Dark Origin a bit further before they both pounced on the Void Will.
The Void Will turned into a giant of light and shadow, roaring angrily, “You two traitors!” and rushed toward Dark Origin and Abyssal Big Mouth.
The more powerful the beings, the harder their battle was to describe, and sometimes it was even incomprehensible what they were doing.
Dark Origin was chopping and slashing wildly in front, while Abyssal Big Mouth was flapping its massive jaws behind, circling around the fighters.
The Void Will kept shifting positions, always clashing directly with Dark Origin but never facing Abyssal Big Mouth directly, always keeping Dark Origin in between.
Thus, the scene became incredibly bizarre, with Abyssal Big Mouth circling around with its mouth wide open, resembling a duck awaiting a worm to crawl into its beak.
The three Primordial beings’ battle was indecisive for the moment. The Monarch watched the approaching Ancient Godlight without making a move; Anthony wisely stayed silent; Ange’s attention was entirely in the void, brooding over something.
Only Negris was getting anxious, “We should join in too, before Ancient Godlight gets here. Kill the Void Will; it must be the anchor through which Ancient Godlight is being transported. If we kill it, Ancient Godlight might not be able to come.”
Watching Ancient Godlight, which had almost completely arrived, the Monarch shook his head, “It’s too late now, but now I can tell you what the biggest secret of the Chaos Plane is.”
“Ah? Now you can tell?” Negris was stunned.
“Yes, you know I am the king of all the Undead in the Void, right?” the Monarch said.
Negris retorted irritably, “Is this really the time for you to be blowing your own trumpet?”
“Heh, you know that the original Ancient Godlight died, right?” the Monarch said.
Clang, Negris blinked in disbelief, and Anthony’s eyes sparkled, instinctively scanning the surroundings.
“Heh, the corpse of Ancient Godlight turned into Chaos Mist and Primordial Dark Stone, right?” the Monarch said, tapping his feet.
Finally, Ancient Godlight squeezed through completely, resembling a massive plane but radiating an endless amount of light, engulfing the entire field with an overpowering consciousness.
Everyone heard a majestic voice in their souls, “The Void shall return to chaos, the ants shall perish endlessly…” but before the sentence could be completed, this overpowering consciousness emitted a confused fluctuation. The surrounding Chaos Mist turned into countless white chains wrapping around it, and the distant Chaos Mist surged crazily this way.
Within the mist, a huge face vaguely emerged, its mouth opening and closing, “I’ve been waiting for you for a long time.”
