Chapter 1242 - Chapter 1242 Chapter 805 The Knowledge of the Void
Chapter 1242: Chapter 805: The Knowledge of the Void Chapter 1242: Chapter 805: The Knowledge of the Void A familiar scene played out once again, as slow streams of darkness spewed forth. Yet in front of Ange, one blurred dot after another kept appearing. In the past, they would have been holy light missiles or exploding fireballs, but now they were indistinct specks.
However, no one dared to underestimate these dots, for they could very well be the power that Ange had just mastered–the Dark Element.
This familiar power caused Iron Belly to change color dramatically, exclaiming in shock, “Tim–e–Or–igin–”
However, under the slowed flow of time, his voice stretched out, sounding garbled and unclear.
Good heavens, what’s happening? Why is Time Origin here? Wasn’t it dead? Could it be the successor?
Right, there’s that Yellow Snot Dragon following them–they must indeed be related to Time Origin.
Iron Belly was so annoyed; how could he not have made the connection just now? It’s over, all is lost: “Run–fa–st–”
Iron Belly turned sluggishly, his hind legs kicking desperately, stretching long to the point where one could see the swollen sinews under his skin through the flesh. Several gluttonous fellows couldn’t help muttering to themselves: the barbecue would taste delicious.
Time resumed its normal pace at the very moment Iron Belly’s kick reached its zenith, and then, with a ‘whoosh’, the dark breath he had spewed out was hit by something and a series of explosions erupted, mutually offsetting each other, vanishing completely.
There was complete silence all around, and even the expressionless Giant Angels were shocked by the scene. The dark breath that could easily demolish a Master Plane had been neutralized by Ange?
It was at this moment that Iron Belly’s “run fast” finally reached everyone’s ears, accompanied by the rapidly retreating figure of Iron Belly himself.
With a rustling noise, all the Ancient Gods allied with Iron Belly started to run. This was an essential skill for survival in the Chaos Plane; as soon as the wind changed, they would take to their heels, without a moment’s hesitation, for those who ran slowly were already dead.
Only ten Giant Angels were left, looking at each other in dismay. They, like the Holy Spirit Angels, were missing a metaphorical string in their heads but were not stupid. Their intelligence was actually quite high. They immediately started to converge in one direction, seemingly covering for each other, also looking to retreat.
As previously mentioned, those who ran slowly were dead. These Giant Angels that couldn’t take off running at a moment’s notice would have gone extinct long ago if they hadn’t been under someone’s protection.
“Thinking of running?” The Monarch’s true form was already wielding a scythe, blocking the direction of the Giant Angels’ retreat. Just moments ago, he had been fooled by the Abyssal Big Mouth’s introduction to the dark breath, unlocking the anchor chains. He hadn’t expected the dark breath to be so useless.
Well, it wasn’t completely useless. The main issue was that Ange’s counterattack was even more fierce–a combination of time slowdown and Dark Element stacking, compressing the attack of an extended period into a single instant. It was preposterous.
Are all new souls this freakish now? The pressure is immense.
Feeling the pressure, the Monarch decided to move. He couldn’t be lazy anymore. However, before he could finish off these Giant Angels, the Abyssal Big Mouth floated over, shouting, “Wait a minute, wait a minute, I’ve called Dark Origin over. Do you guys want to have a chat?”
Beside the Abyssal Big Mouth, a colorless energy flame spontaneously ignited, coalescing into a humanoid creature–it was the very same Dark Origin avatar that the Monarch had previously pursued. Wasn’t it said that his avatar had been chopped up? Could it be a new one?
In fact, here in the Chaos Plane, at the level of Primordial Bodies, it is very difficult for them to destroy each other, as they often don’t encounter the other’s true form, encountering only avatars most of the time.
Even if they do encounter the true form, like the bodies of the Abyssal Big Mouth and the Hole Bug, who could possibly deal with them?
Everyone was not surprised by the emergence of the Dark Origin, as thinking that an ironclad beetle, and some Ancient Gods, plus a few Giant Angels, could take down an Origin of Chaos, was simply a pipe dream.
Surely, the Dark Origin must have been hiding somewhere, waiting for the Undead Ruler to exhaust all his trump cards before striking a fatal blow, with the ironclad beetle serving as nothing more than a tool to lure in the enemy.
Unfortunately, due to Ange’s sudden appearance, the Undead Ruler didn’t even have the chance to show his hand, let alone make a move.
Just as he was feeling dejected and preparing to retreat, the Abyssal Big Mouth suddenly came looking for him, offering a tempting proposition, “Should we team up with the Law Breakers and eradicate the Void Will?”
“Such audacity, you even dare to contemplate striking at Lord Void Will! What do you have in mind?” the Dark Origin asked with disingenuous severity.
The Abyssal Big Mouth replied irritably, “They are Law Breakers.”
No need for further elaboration–the key point was made, and the Dark Origin immediately understood, falling silent.
The Abyssal Big Mouth didn’t want to give him time to think and said, “Make a decision quick, or your Giant Angels are doomed.”
“I’ll listen to you, let’s do it,” the Dark Origin hissed through clenched teeth.
The Abyssal Big Mouth gave him a deep look. This Dark Origin, perhaps having dealt with too many beings, had picked up the slickness of common creatures. At such a critical moment, he still emphasized “I’ll listen to you”–did he really believe that Void Will would forgive him just because he was an “accomplice”?
Everyone gathered around, and even the Monarch couldn’t help but size up the Dark Origin seriously. Since arriving in the Chaos Plane, the Dark Origin was whom he had the most dealings with, yet they had never faced each other at such close range–not even through avatars.
This made the Monarch curious enough to ask, “What exactly has this Void Will done to make you all so eager to kill him at the first opportunity?”
In theory, the Abyssal Big Mouth, Hole Bug, and Dark Origin were all underlings of the Void Will; the Hole Bug was only concerned with eating, so it usually only opened wormholes when commanded. To it, the commands of the Ancient Gods might even be more effective than those of Void Will.
But the Abyssal Big Mouth and the Dark Origin had always served Void Will. The Abyssal Big Mouth sent its own avatars, the Chaos Holy Spirit Army, and the Ancient God Hunter squads to hunt down the Law Breakers, and then ended up losing each and every one of them, with the Ancient God Hunters all captured instead.
Now, seeing the Starfire Creation, it didn’t even bother to come over to greet it.
And the Dark Origin had been targeting the Undead Ruler all along, constantly sending forces to harass him, and had suffered many losses and heavy damages.
Now, by leveraging the chaos tides, it had summoned its entire forces, truly committing everything it had–home and wealth–in an act of utmost loyalty.
Yet, upon hearing about a chance to eliminate Void Will, it immediately took the bait. This couldn’t help but raise suspicions about its true motives–could it be trying to infiltrate as an undercover agent?
The Abyssal Big Mouth and the Dark Origin exchanged a glance, with the Dark Origin looking slightly taken aback, but the Abyssal Big Mouth seemed contemplative:
“Actually, from the beginning, I noticed that you all are completely ignorant about many of the mysteries of the Void, even the relationship between Void Will and the Ancient Godlight was something I had to tell you, yet you all have the legacy of Time Origin. Didn’t the Time Origin pass down any basic knowledge about the Void to you?”
Knowledge? Negris’s eyes lit up, with the innate instincts of the God of Knowledge igniting fiercely.
