Chapter 1123 - Chapter 1123 Chapter 687 Let Go of My Sunshine

Chapter 1123: Chapter 687: Let Go of My Sunshine! Chapter 1123: Chapter 687: Let Go of My Sunshine! “My… My sunlight?” Ange was initially stunned, then he quickly reacted, whooshing over to the Starburst Array and furiously rubbing it, shouting, “Let go of my sunlight!”

It was rare indeed. Ever since Negris had become his mouthpiece, Ange had hardly ever uttered a sentence of six words at a time. This showed just how anxious he was.

Soil, air, water, and sunlight are the four essential elements for plant growth. With Ange’s advancement in planting techniques, he had learned to do without soil, air, and even sunlight.

But while he could plant in places devoid of sunlight, you couldn’t just swallow up the sunlight in his fields. How was that any different from burning his crops?

The Goddess of Starfire was startled and hastily spat out the sunlight, then looked at Ange in amazement.

She was somewhat baffled. Just moments ago the situation had been fraught, on the verge of a cataclysmic power exchange, yet Ange had seemed indifferent, even leisurely enough to tend to his farming.

Now she had merely demonstrated the swallowing of sunlight and Angeles’s reaction had suddenly been intense. It felt to her like, ‘You don’t bat an eye when someone threatens to kill you, but fly into a rage when called ugly,’ which was utterly confounding.

“Hehe, hehe, my Lord is still the master of both realms, caring for all, with sunlight being the source of life. Any change that causes suffering to people will enrage him,” Anthony explained awkwardly.

The Goddess of Starfire looked at him, and he at her. They stared at each other with big eyes and small eyes for several moments until Anthony coughed and said, “Whether you believe it or not, that’s just the way it is. So, this is the power of the Abyssal Big Mouth, swallowing sunlight? Can the Void Will truly alter the laws and make sunlight disappear?”

“The Void Will, omnipotent,” the Goddess of Starfire stated with devotion.

Anthony chuckled, “Then can it destroy the Undead Ruler?”

“Cough–cough cough–cough–” The Goddess of Starfire let out a series of coughs, using them to mask her embarrassment.

Really, why did this man insist on bringing up such embarrassing matters? If the Void Will could destroy the Undead Ruler, wouldn’t it have done so long ago?

“Alright, alright. You don’t have to answer that question,” Anthony said understandingly, tactfully moving past the topic.

The Goddess of Starfire breathed a sigh of relief as her coughing quickly subsided.

“But you can’t avoid answering this next question. How many allies do you have? Who are they? What abilities do they possess? Do they have any weaknesses?…” A barrage of questions was thrown out, only to see the color draining from the Goddess of Starfire’s face.

Of course, the Goddess of Starfire wouldn’t answer everything; she only picked the less consequential questions to respond to. This frustrated Anthony to the point of heated argument with her. They argued and compromised, until, in the end, the Goddess of Starfire felt she hadn’t revealed too many secrets about her companions.

However, once he left the Dimensional Space, Anthony couldn’t hold it in any longer and burst into laughter.

“A big harvest?” Negris asked slyly.

It had stopped explaining “what weaknesses” because Anthony began to ask one question after another, unrelated questions, and every time the Goddess of Starfire avoided answering, he would immediately jump to another seemingly unrelated question.

Knowing Anthony’s capabilities, Negris knew he was laying traps, but it couldn’t grasp what kind of traps were laid, thus it couldn’t explain.

Seeing Anthony trying not to laugh, it guessed the harvest must have been significant.

Anthony laughed, “Not bad at all. I pretty much got most of the information I wanted. Drosa, come listen. See if it matches up with what you know.”

Drosa approached with curiosity.

“Firstly, besides the Goddess of Starfire, the Ancient God Hunter group also includes Dark Wing and the Light of Creation. The Purgatory Twins are on their way and will take at least a month to reach here.”

“Moreover, Dark Wing is likely the Abyssal Big Mouth. Every time she mentioned Dark Wing, her demeanor involuntarily stiffened, as if she faced her own Master God, just like when she talked about the Abyssal Big Mouth.”

Drosa slapped his thigh, “That makes sense now. So Dark Wing is the Abyssal Big Mouth. I thought, why would Dark Wing, who seems to have no special abilities and only raises a bunch of Chaotic Holy Spirits, be chosen as the leader of the Ancient God Hunters by the Abyssal Big Mouth?”

“Turns out, he is an incarnation of the Abyssal Big Mouth. His Dark Wing resembles the Abyssal Gaze of the Abyssal Big Mouth, just several magnitudes weaker. We had even speculated whether Dark Wing could be the offspring of the Abyssal Big Mouth. If it’s an incarnation, then it all makes sense,” Drosa realized with clarity.

Anthony nodded, Drosa’s words confirmed his speculation. Using this as a starting point, the correctness of other theories would also be raised. By chaining one correct element to predict more elements, one after another to build a complete chain, thus deducing the full picture of events.

But this required that the starting points, the elements of reasoning, had to be correct; otherwise, starting with a mistake would only lead to a completely unrecognizable outcome.

Anthony continued, “The Light of Creation isn’t very strong in combat. Its power tends towards support.”

Drosa nodded, “Indeed, I’ve never heard of the Light of Creation’s battle exploits. Its ability is to synthesize every element. It can fill its surroundings in the Void with wind, fire, thunder, water, earth, and so on, and it can even create a Master Plane.”

Negris and the others couldn’t help but gasp. Creating elements out of nothingness in the Void, even a Master Plane? Good heavens, no wonder it’s called the Light of Creation; it’s practically the Creator God from the Church’s Holy Code.

“The Purgatory Twins are two beings. Their separate combat strengths are likely lesser than the Goddess of Starfire’s, but together they can achieve a synergy where one plus one is greater than two, making them a formidable enemy. But their weakness is apparent– as long as we can catch one unawares and eliminate it first, the other will pose no threat,” Anthony explained and analyzed. In no time at all, he’d made clear the intelligence gathered from the Goddess of Starfire. Most of it could be mutually verified with Drosa, and the rest, though unheard of by Drosa, still seemed plausible when combined, and was very likely correct.

Negris couldn’t suppress its admiration, “You’re truly impressive, managing to prod the Goddess of Starfire into revealing all this with just a few spoken words and arguments. After you came out, she remained inside, quite smug thinking she didn’t reveal any secrets.”

Anthony dismissively said, “These Ancient Gods are too naive, not nearly as tricky to deal with as those old slicks from the Church, no real challenge at all. Let’s plan how to deal with these Ancient God Hunters later, the best way is to separate them and break them one by one.”

Negris swept a hand, “Yeah, you discuss it with Silver Coin. Just let us know once the plan is ready.”

Anthony expected as much and didn’t care. Instead, he turned towards Drosa, smiling asked, “You mentioned ‘we’ just now. Who does this ‘we’ refer to?”
