Forcing Me to Be Reborn?! -
Chapter 637 - 460: The Counselor’s Inner Wear
Chapter 637 -460: The Counselor’s Inner Wear
Inside the house, Chen Jieyu sprang up from her chair with a swoosh, then hurriedly took her cellphone to open the door for Cheng Zhu.
Cheng Zhu’s sudden visit had indeed taken her by surprise.
But upon hearing the “It’s me” over the phone, her heart unconsciously sped up.
Delight spread through her heart, no longer feeling that sense of emptiness.
When the door was opened, Cheng Zhu hung up the phone, walked in with a smile, and changed his shoes.
“Why did you just come over without giving me a heads-up?” the counselor said.
“What, do I have to report to the counselor in advance just to come back to my own home?” said Cheng Zhu.
Although his words were to counter hers, the counselor’s heart was incredibly gratified, utterly helpless against this class’s bad student.
After changing his shoes, Cheng Zhu glanced at the dining table and immediately noticed the small cake placed on it.
“You’ve prepared a cake and didn’t tell me either. What if I hadn’t come? Wouldn’t that be a waste?” he said.
“It wouldn’t have been a waste,” Chen Jieyu replied.
According to her original intention, even if Cheng Zhu hadn’t come, she would have eaten it herself, and that would count as having Cheng Zhu’s birthday cake.
“Have you had dinner?” Chen Jieyu immediately asked.
“Not yet, have you?” asked Cheng Zhu.
“Nope, I’ll cook a few dishes,” she said, getting up to open the refrigerator and planning to put the cake in to chill first.
Cheng Zhu went over to look and found that the fridge was quite full of vegetables. There were pork, beef, and chicken wings in the freezer.
But it was getting late, so he suggested, “Just stir-fry some meat, and then how about some birthday noodles?”
“Sure,” the counselor was naturally willing to accommodate him in everything today.
The birthday celebrant is the most important of all.
While she was busy, Cheng Zhu sat at the dining table and looked at his phone.
He would occasionally lift his head to gaze at the counselor’s graceful figure, appreciating the curve of her pear-shaped physique from behind.
These days, more and more people were drawn to silhouettes; like later in TikTok videos, the comments would all tell those with pear-shaped figures, “Turn around!”
In Cheng Zhu’s eyes, the counselor, who was naturally wide at the hips, and the big-bottomed Hu Yan, each had their unique appeal from behind.
And both were… very comfortable.
If one had too narrow hips and a flat butt, the experience was indeed quite ordinary.
At the moment, he could clearly feel that the counselor was looking forward to seeing him today.
The reason was simple, evident from her outfit.
Today she wore professional OL attire, a light-colored silk blouse on the upper body, which clung to her skin revealing all her contours and curves, an effect that far surpassed a regular white blouse.
The lower part consisted of a black skirt, with a narrow mouth that was stretched by two plump thighs.
As she bent down to wash the vegetables, the hem of the skirt would be slightly raised, creating a slit at the mouth of the skirt.
Looking inward through the slit, it was naturally pitch black, with nothing to see, yet it irresistibly drew the gaze there, like a… visual black hole, absorbing all attention.
Since the weather hadn’t heated up yet, and even bare legs would be cold at home, the counselor was also wearing black stockings.
Cheng Zhu was peculiar; he was not very fond of these intact stockings. He preferred those with a slight run, a sense of damage that he couldn’t resist tearing open further.
“She definitely wouldn’t dress like this on regular days at home, all made up. Good thing I found the time to come over today,” Cheng Zhu thought to himself.
The counselor, having washed the vegetables, put on her apron and then turned to Cheng Zhu, “Do you want to sit on the couch for a while? It’ll be ready soon.”
“No need, I’d like to sit here,” Cheng Zhu replied with a smile.
From the couch, he could only watch the television.
Is the television appealing?
Chen Jieyu knew Cheng Zhu was quite fond of spicy food, so she made a stir-fry with spicy beef.
Then, she began to cook noodles for Cheng Zhu to eat.
Cheng Zhu’s noodles were in a big bowl, while hers were in a small one.
“Such a big bowl? I’m not still growing,” Cheng Zhu said, looking at his noodles, feeling he’d surely be stuffed.
But he was nonchalant, considering he’d be working it off later tonight.
During dinner, he specifically asked the counselor, “Have your parents contacted you recently?”
“He hasn’t, but my mom sent me a message,” Chen Jieyu answered in full detail, even sharing the gist of the message with Cheng Zhu.
After listening, Cheng Zhu merely nodded slightly on the surface, but inside he sneered.
“Really thinks she’s stumbled on a pie falling from the sky? Really thinks she’s found a smooth path to making money?”
“It’s just to give you a taste of sweetness in the beginning, then make you sink deeper.”
“This Chen Ruyu is quite something, even telling her daughter to save money and not to spend it recklessly.”
“What, considering her daughter as a backup plan? Or does she want it all?”
Thinking this, Cheng Zhu felt that Chen Jieyu indeed seemed to have less money at her disposal.
Her monthly salary was certainly enough to support herself, since reality isn’t like the internet where it seems people earning less than ten thousand don’t exist, and anyone with a monthly income over ten thousand gets ridiculed as a loser, average middle-class.
“But since she’s been with me, her day-to-day expenses have actually gone up,” Cheng Zhu was very clear about this.
No way around it, strictly speaking, their classes didn’t quite match.
Many people start out as good friends, but why can’t they keep playing together after the gap between the rich and poor widens?
