Forced to Marry the Sickly Billionaire
Chapter 109 Black Card

Chapter 109: Chapter 109 Black Card

Watching Clara Shaw vow so confidently, Serena Summers couldn’t help but find it a bit funny.

She and Lucas Shaw’s marriage was something even Master Shaw had no right to interfere with.

What right did Clara Shaw have?

Charlotte Summers suddenly "pfft" chuckled, instantly drawing everyone’s attention.

"Forgive my ignorance, it seems the Shaw Family has fallen so low that Miss Shaw is now in charge."

"Who are you? This is our Shaw Family’s private matter, it’s none of your business."

Suddenly being publicly humiliated made Clara Shaw instantly seethe with anger.

"I can’t interfere with Shaw Family’s private affairs, but Serena Summers is my friend. Does Mr. Lucas Shaw know that his cousin is publicly humiliating his wife?" Charlotte Summers crossed her arms, slowly walking up to Clara Shaw.

Clara Shaw’s expression changed drastically, and she immediately took a step back.

Serena Summers looked at Charlotte Summers in surprise, not expecting her to come to her defense.

"Clara is just telling the truth! Serena Summers, a country bumpkin, what qualifies her to be Mr. Lucas Shaw’s wife?"

A girl standing behind Clara Shaw suddenly spoke up.

Serena Summers looked up and saw the girl staring at her resentfully, as if there was a deep hatred between them.

Serena Summers thought carefully, sure that she had never seen this person before.

Serena Summers narrowed her eyes slightly, a dangerous glint appearing in them.

"Whether I qualify is not for you to judge, if I don’t, do you?"

The girl was suddenly frightened by Serena Summers’s icy gaze, a trace of panic flashing in her eyes.

Serena Summers scoffed coldly, turning to look at Clara Shaw, "Clara, haven’t I told you not to provoke me?"

"I’d like to see what you can do about it," Clara Shaw snorted disdainfully, her tone full of scorn.

She was the legitimate daughter of the Shaw Family.

Whereas Serena Summers was nothing but a country chicken that couldn’t turn into a phoenix even if it reached the branch.

What could Serena Summers possibly do to her?

"Childish."

Serena Summers decided not to continue entangling with Clara Shaw, picking up her clothes to go pay.

If she truly wanted to do something, Clara probably wouldn’t even have the chance to speak.

"Stop!"

Clara Shaw felt despised by the person she least respected, and was instantly furious.

"Anything else?"

Serena Summers stopped walking, looking helplessly at Clara Shaw.

"Serena Summers, you’re buying so many things, it’s all Shaw Family’s money, right?"

"What’s it to you?"

Serena Summers gave her a cold glance, then took out a card from her purse and handed it to the cashier.

The cashier behind the counter heard their entire conversation, looking at Serena Summers with complex eyes.

She initially thought Serena Summers was some rich young lady, only to find out she married into a prominent family.

Hearing Miss Shaw say, this woman came from the countryside and was inexperienced.

She must have used some dirty tricks to gain Mr. Lucas Shaw’s favor, right?

The cashier immediately showed a look of disgust.

She despised those who would stoop to betraying themselves!

Serena Summers’s hand paused mid-air, the cashier remaining indifferent.

She couldn’t help frowning.

"What’s the matter? Is there a problem with this card?"

"No, nothing," the cashier snapped out of it, hurriedly took the black card, not saying anything else.

But her expression was indescribably ugly.

Serena Summers watched, baffled.

Suddenly, Clara Shaw rushed over, snatching the card from the cashier’s hands.

"This card belongs to the Shaw Family, what right do you have to use it?"

"Even if this really is a Shaw Family card, as Lucas Shaw’s wife, why can’t I use it?"

Serena Summers was provoked to laughter.

"Lucas married you just to treat his illness. Once he’s better, he will surely divorce you! You have no right to use Shaw Family’s things!"

Jealousy and dissatisfaction filled Clara Shaw’s eyes as she looked at Serena Summers.

She, the legitimate daughter of the Shaw Family, didn’t have a black card, so why should this despicable person have one?

Lucas is really biased!

"Hey! Are you being reasonable? I thought all the Shaws were gentle and well-mannered like my senior, didn’t expect you to be an exception." Charlotte Summers scoffed coldly, her eyes brimming with mockery.

"Who are you calling uneducated?" Clara Shaw immediately burst into anger, raising her arm high and swinging it towards Charlotte Summers.

Serena Summers was quick to react, grabbing Clara Shaw’s wrist and harshly shoving it away.

"Clara Shaw, if you think you are qualified to interfere with Lucas Shaw’s marriage, you should openly tell Grandpa, not throw fits here, making the Shaw Family a public laughingstock."

Clara Shaw came back to her senses, her gaze swiftly scanning the crowd around her, only to find that it was packed with onlookers.

A sudden "thump" in Clara Shaw’s heart gave her a bad premonition.

She blinked nervously, instinctively wanting to leave.

But just after taking a few steps, Serena Summers suddenly stopped her.

She glared angrily at Serena Summers, "Move! I want to go home."

"I don’t care where you go, give me back my card."

Serena Summers scoffed coldly, directly plucking the black card from her hand and handing it back to the cashier.

"Check carefully, whose name is on this card."

The cashier was startled by Serena Summers’ imposing manner, shakily taking the black card.

Although the cashier had seen many wealthy individuals, there weren’t many in the entire S city who could bring out this card.

This card is a global high-end brand black card, applicable for international brand stores in major malls, and there are only three in S city.

One with Mr. Lucas Shaw of Shaw Group, one with President Edward Selwyn of Horizon Group.

The last one, no one knew who held it.

The cashier was utterly shocked, her earlier scorn and disdain now gone.

The owner of this card must be incredibly rich or noble.

Remembering her disrespect towards Serena Summers before, the cashier suddenly broke out in a cold sweat.

It’s over!

Her job was probably at its end.

"Ha! Besides my cousin, who else could bring out this card? Serena Summers, are you humiliating yourself?" Clara Shaw’s eyes brimmed jadx with mockery.

"This, this card belongs to Miss Serena Summers," the cashier trembled, truthfully answering.

"What? That’s impossible! Absolutely impossible!"

Clara Shaw’s eyes widened in shock, disbelief filling her gaze.

She naturally recognized this card.

It was a limited edition global shopping card, usable in luxury brand stores in major malls.

She had coveted it for a long time, but she didn’t have the courage to ask Lucas Shaw.

Lucas Shaw, indifferent by nature, would turn into a complete lunatic when ill, not someone to easily provoke.

Thus, Clara Shaw had always been quite fearful of Lucas Shaw.

When she saw Serena Summers taking out this card, Clara Shaw was almost driven insane with jealousy.

But now the cashier told her the card’s owner was actually Serena Summers?

How could this be?

Clara Shaw shook her head, "I don’t believe it!"
