Chapter 49: 49. My boss asked me to send his regards to you (New book seeking collection and follow-up reading)

After the Wild Dog left, Xia Na immediately said coldly, "Are you crazy? Are you daring to hand the video evidence over to the Wild Dog with your identity?"

Xia Na drew a knife, and Chen Che immediately stopped her, saying, "Nana, what are you doing?"

"Hmph! Don’t call me Nana!" Her affection for Chen Che had dropped to below zero, though it had risen from -300% to -100%.

This probably came from the positive growth when Chen Che decided to cut ties with this business.

"I’m going to get the stuff back, not for you, but for my sister. Everyone knows about your relationship with her. The things you left might cause trouble for her. I’m doing it for her!"

But Chen Che still blocked Xia Na, saying, "Nana, don’t rush, everything is under my control, just wait a bit longer."

Xia Na looked at Chen Che in confusion.

Not knowing what Chen Che was thinking.

"Have you forgotten you lost the bet and have to obey my orders?"

Hearing this, Xia Na’s face twitched, she retracted the knife, and stood silently to the side.

But then Xia Na looked at those people locked in the cage, who suddenly began speaking, "What are you planning to do with these people? Sell them like cargo to your other buyer and then tell them you’re done doing business?"

"It won’t be that complicated," Chen Che laughed.

In the puzzled eyes of his men, Chen Che squatted next to the iron cage.

After the culprit Wild Dog left, most eyes inside the cage locked onto Chen Che, the buyer.

The woman with healthy tan skin looked at Chen Che with even more hatred.

It was like the hatred had transferred to him.

Chen Che clicked his tongue and said, "Why are you looking at me with such hatred? It’s not like I’m the one who killed your leader.

Sigh, you’re right, there’s a saying: ’No buying, no killing’.

If there were no benefits in trading, naturally there wouldn’t be anyone coming for you.

But you just saw it.

Even if I stop trading with Wild Dog, they’ll still look for a new buyer, so your real enemy is the Wild Dog, not me."

"Mmmm!! Mmmm!!!"

The woman kept glaring at Chen Che, seemingly questioning the point of his empty words.

Chen Che put a finger to his lips with a "shh" and said, "Don’t get agitated, no need to. I’m just reminding you of who your enemy is, and asking you a question, do you want to take revenge yourself?"

In an instant, even those with lifeless eyes inside the cage stared intently at Chen Che.

Everyone, including Xia Na, sharply turned their heads to look at Chen Che.

Chen Che clapped and stood up, saying, "Xiong Da, open the cage and release them."

Xiong Da hesitated for a moment, but only regained his senses after Chen Che’s second prompt. He stepped forward, opened the iron cage, and unlocked the shackles on each person using a key.

Though still weak, at least they could tear the rags off their faces.

The woman with the tan skin quickly tore off the rag and hoarsely said, "Bastard, fuck you, what do you mean by this?"

Chen Che grimaced, shocked by the profanity, who could withstand such an onslaught?

He glanced at the tanned woman, she had good features, an even better figure, with visible abs on her lower abdomen and muscle lines when her body was tense.

Chen Che coolly said, "I know the old man that Wild Dog reportedly killed is your father, right?"

The other people looked surprised, but seeing the woman’s expression, she seemed not to deny it, flashing a trace of pain.

A strong man said silently, "Old Doban is the father of all of us, a kind man, this world didn’t deserve him. He saved us, raised many children in the tribe.

We advised him not to save those strangers anymore.

But he told us it’s because he saved us that we had all we have now.

But damn it!

That dwarf!

He nearly starved to death on the road, saved by Old Doban!

He consistently offered his kindness to strangers in this damned world, and it was that dwarf who personally put a collar around Old Doban’s neck, watching him be dragged to death on the road!

Fuck!!"

The man’s fist pounded against the iron bars, making a dull sound.

Chen Che remained calmly indifferent and said, "Do you want revenge?"

Everyone’s eyes turned to Chen Che.

Confusion, doubt, shock, hope...

Chen Che stood up, his figure seeming towering amidst such desperate people, and stretched with a cracking sound: "I’m asking you for the third time, do you want revenge?"

...

"Boss, what’s wrong with that pretty boy? Why suddenly quit the business?"

"Fuck if I know? Son of a bitch, just a pretty boy who climbed into some woman’s bed, dammit!"

Wild Dog cursed non-stop, never clean.

Chen Che’s sudden breach of contract made things difficult for him.

Wild Dog hated building relationships and talking business.

Just trade goods for money, like with prostitutes, isn’t that best?

Why make it so complicated?

But it was good he got proof from Chen Che; with that proof in hand, finding another buyer shouldn’t be difficult.

That’s one thing that allowed Wild Dog to relax.

Wild Dog’s gang also had a base at Ant Street, another warehouse.

Most gangs would choose warehouses as their bases, to stash large quantities of goods, relatively safe, and most importantly, cheap.

Wild Dog and his group parked the car in the designated parking lot.

Generally, mercenaries like them wouldn’t park their precious vehicles in the same place.

Too easy to wipe them out.

After parking, they walked back to their base.

Wild Dog couldn’t hold back, having earned so much money, he needed to relax at the brothel.

A small one rubbed his hands and approached Wild Dog, tentatively asking if they could split more money this time.

Wild Dog laughed, saying the gang was having difficulties now, still finding new partners, lots of future expenses, it’s not that he wouldn’t share, but for everyone’s future, this money couldn’t be touched yet.

When they made big money one day, Wild Dog promised everyone would lie back and enjoy!

The subordinates listened to Wild Dog’s big promises and flattered him in response.

Curse him under their breath constantly.

This guy was really greedy, clearly got so much more, yet only willing to share as before.

But no one dared to say it out loud.

After all, this mad dog was truly ruthless.

Who dared to offend their own boss?

Could only curse him quietly in their hearts.

Wild Dog listened to the subordinates’ flattering words and nodded in satisfaction. This was the kind of subordinates he needed to feel at ease.

Walking down a narrow path, a group of people suddenly appeared ahead, blocking their way. Wild Dog became alert instantly, but upon seeing the leader, he relaxed slightly, greeting with a smile, "Isn’t this Brother Johnny? What brings the famous Wildfire Johnny to our Wild Dog Gang?"

"Brother Johnny, is there something waiting for our Wild Dog to handle?"

Wild Dog guessed the Wildfire Gang approached them for some cooperation.

After all, the Wild Dog Gang and Wildfire Gang had cooperated several times before.

They weren’t strangers, and they had some connection.

Johnny’s face curled into a strange smile as he looked at Wild Dog, saying lightly, "Wild Dog, my boss asked me to send you regards."

Wild Dog was stunned, this lunatic Johnny had a boss now, who could this be?

The next second, Johnny suddenly raised his hand, and the Wildfire Gang members blocking the alley simultaneously raised their guns, decisively pulling the triggers.

Da da da!!!
